    Station

At the Pentagon is a Metro station. It stops right outside the public entrance. Makes it easy for tourists. Gets busy. There's also employees who are in and out. Fairly clean. It serves the Blue and Yellow Lines. These both go the same way. It's a pretty easy station to get around. The entrance is just by this. Also use it to get to the Pentagon Memorial. There's also busses from multiple systems to get onto. Among these are the Arlington and the Metro busses. These aren't interchangeable and you'll need the correct ticket. It overall is a good place for getting around. It's convenient to get to the Pentagon. There's plenty of busses to make transfers.

It's a station and for tourists, the fact that it's under the Pentagon is meh. Good station to use for changing from the Blue line (that makes a big loop up through Arlington and Rosslyn, or you can jump here to the Yellow line and skip all of that if you just want to quickly get to L'Enfant or Archives station. Station markings could be better, but I was able to figure it out. Sadly, on Saturday when I went through the station, there wasn't any of this famed eye candy. I feel left out.

Located close to the Pentagon & serves as an essential transfer point for yellow & blue line riders. In addition, it's well equipped to be a essential buss access port in the NoVA region. Most riders here are professional people, so people were generally kind and helpful. It will get crowded but this station is very well designed to get people in and out quickly. If you're taking a buss from here, give your self some extra time because the buss station is pretty large. Also the only thing I would improve is how there only two escalators from the platform to the station, there's always people rushing into one narrow spot. Happy travels

Fairly clean, and felt safe. The stops could use more indicators, but that can be said for all of the metros we stopped at along the way.

Getting here can be a nightmare if you come from the wrong direction...which I did. The amount of streets you have to cross to get here can be time consuming and maybe even a bit dangerous. Once I conquered the streets I was happy to see that this was the Green Line. No need to transfer to me, just find a seat and settle in for the ride. The station itself is like many of the other underground stations on the system. The concrete tube with the orange hexagon tile. Single platform serving both directions. Older screens to let you know of the next train coming. Easy enough to use station.

People either come to this one or the Metro at Navy yard. The area next to the Metro used to be a hang out for the unhoused and kind of still is, but the presence has been reduced by the current National Guard occupation and the curfew for minors. I do like that this Metro is across the street from the southwest farmers market. So you don't have to walk far with your groceries if you're visiting the market if you're just trying to get back on the metro and go home.

American Airlines - Priority Status Counter - August 4, 2023

I used to be very loyal to America West Airlines out of Phoenix. Then, it was US Airways flying…read moreacross the country, again from Phoenix, and I was getting upgraded regularly. Now, it's American Airlines that I frequent, along with past America West Airlines and US Airways patrons. I find that, as with any other airline, customer service is often better than not, but there are always a few hiccups. With American Airlines, you can get someone on the phone, on a chat, on social media, or in person to assist, and with some respect on our part, we can often get what we need. I rarely have luggage issues, though there was one time when my bag was damaged, and American Airlines gave me a replacement while they repaired my original. I regularly fly in and out of the American Airlines gates at Phoenix Sky Harbor and frequent hubs like Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Philadelphia, and Charlotte. I even make it out to Washington DC on occasion, having either visited the area or have a layover through as I did today. Often, my travels require a connecting flight, and my flights are, more often than not, on time and without delays in departure or arrival. With status, an American Airlines credit card, and membership in CLEAR and Global Entry, I do not pay for luggage, receive priority luggage handling, board early, speed through security, sometimes receive upgrades, and access lounges. Traveling has become more of a hobby and a habit, and with American Airlines as my go-to airline, I accumulate miles quickly while also earning status and Loyalty Point rewards. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard, which offers complimentary Admirals Club access, and the American Express Platinum card, which offers lounge access, travel credits, and complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry memberships. With these two credit cards, I can access the Admiral's Club at Orlando International Airport or The Club at MCO. I may even be able to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge, though I've never checked. Also, through T-Mobile, I received free Wi-Fi on American Airlines flights (though now it is free for anyone with an AAdvantage account). Through my American Airlines AAdvantage status, I get upgrades or free paid snacks and drinks on flights, along with other benefits. To retain status each year, you need to earn Loyalty Point through flying, credit card spending, and promotions. You can also earn Loyalty point rewards after hitting 175,000 points, 250,000 points, and so on. While it is difficult to receive upgrades due to the large number of people at the Executive Platinum status tier, the benefits I do receive are worthwhile. I have also experienced technical issues on flights, but not enough to cause me to abandon American Airlines, especially when every other airline faces the same challenges. All in all, American Airlines is a great company and does as well, if not better than, any of the other major airlines.

Customer Service certainly could improve. But part of that service, in addition to the reps who you…read morespeak to on the phone, is having a RELIABLE flight schedule. I am looking at Yelp reviews from 4 years ago which sound exactly like my experience today. A delayed flight in Vermont caused a group of 4 to miss our connecting flight, which inexplicably decided to leave 10 minutes EARLY as we were RUNNING to our gate. Unnecessary. Then we call the airline and get some rude woman and then her rude supervisor, neither of whom knew American Airline's policy on accommodation when THEIR flight delay caused us to be stranded in D.C. overnight. They both told us we didn't qualify for hotel rooms and food vouchers, which was not correct. Finally I called and got a different representative with completely different results. This morning we arrived at the airport hours early and...you guessed it, our flight is delayed once again. I hate Frontier Airlines for their predatory bag fees, but American Airlines' issue is customer service based. DO BETTER AA. Do better! Monitor your customer service reps calls. And get your flights on schedule. People spend a lot of money on travel plans. The airline flight schedule should NOT be unreliable. I will be very wary of using this airline in the future. I certainly cannot recommend it.
