I picked up the chairs the next day. It was a little more than $5 to rent two chairs for three days. They had another guy bring them out to my car for me. The chairs were sturdy and not terribly uncomfortable. Returning the chairs was just as quick and easy as getting them. Will be back if I need to rent some chairs or other items that they carry. They've got a lot of stuff, so if you're having an event, this might be your source!

I rented linens and some other things from ABC for a graduation party. When I arrived to pick up…read morethe items at 9:30 AM, the linens were not available. They told me I would need to come back later (I did not have time to return--it was a 20 minute drive to get there) and they refused to refund the $24 charge. The worst part was that they lied to me and told me that my contract said that I couldn't pick things up until noon. Nowhere on the contract did it say that. In fact the hours were prominently stated in more than one spot as 7:30 AM - 5 PM. I checked the website too and did not find that statement anywhere. If you are going to stick me for a $24 charge at least don't lie about it and blame me for the problem. You could admit your mistake and just tell me tough luck on the charge. What a terrible way to run a business!

The second time, my things were dragged outside by the thieves and left out in the rain. The storage managers moved them into another unit. I had to pay for new boxes to rebox everything and throw away things that were damaged by the rain. A mattress was soaked by rain and ruined. I was informed that there is no dumpster on site and forced to put the wet mattress back into the unit. After the second time that they unit was broken into by cutting through the lock supplied by management, I was given a heavy duty lock usually reserved for lock outs for people that haven't paid their bills. My things were stored in this unit for three years. When I removed them recently, I found that much of what I had stored had to be thrown away . 1) These units are not climate controlled. It is my fault for not thinking about how the elements would affect what was in the unit. Wrap everything that you own in plastic/vacuum seal it if possible. Everything in the unit had mold on it. I was able to salvage what could be washed. Everything else had to be thrown away. Pictures, appliances, furniture. All thrown away. 2) Everything in the unit smelled heavily of gasoline/fuel. It permeated anything that was porous. Fabric, paper, furniture. Everything smells like gasoline. It cannot just be aired out. It all required heavy cleaning. The cost of storing items in these storage units will not be worth it when you have to throw most of if it due to mold and gasoline smell.

I don't rent very often and when I do it is usually a truck for moving. I was in between…read moreapartments and had to rent a truck twice, once to move from apartment to storage and another time to move from storage to apartment...You get the idea. My first experience here was really easy, the truck was $39.99 + Tax and suited all my needs. There was some confusion over my method of payment, they authorize a card for $250 for deposit then you get charged after the rental is returned for whatever the cost is plus mileage, gas, etc. The $250 then gets put back on your card, well in my case they accidentally charged my card, luckily they were able to refund it and there was really no harm done. My second experience was just as easy, I asked for the same thing I had a month ago and there was no questions asked. Once I payed I notice the rate is suddenly $49.99 + Tax. There is no price listing I can find on the web site and when I asked about the change I was told they just moved their rates on the 1st of the month. Seemed a little fishy to me especially since it was May 1st and I was specific in asking for the same thing I just had less than 30 days ago. I would think at the time i was filling out paper work before actually renting the truck someone would have mentioned, "Hey, by the way our rates changed starting this month and it is different from your last rental". I didn't really feel valued as a customer who came back twice in a month to rent equipment and was a little upset I wasn't informed about the change in price. I guess I will stick to my normal process for renting when I need to...Cheapest Option Wins.

Not even a phone call ahead of time to let me know. I was told to call the office in Eagan to see if they could find me a truck and they just let the phone ring. After the third attempt to speak with someone and waiting for a call back I was told they had a truck in Wisconsin I could drive to get. By that point I had taken my business to Uhaul instead. Will never do business with Penske again-they clearly do not understand what a reservation is and have no respect for their customers.

This review is specifically for their UHaul service. This was the closest UHaul location and seemed…read morevery convenient to be able to drop off and pick up a UHaul after hours with a gate code. Unfortunately, the code we were given didn't work at all! Several people tried entering it and it never worked to open the gate. We tried get a hold of someone at the business but nobody answered. We left a message for the business about the issue and to return the call and nobody ever called back. We ended up having to call UHaul's main support hub and they reserved a vehicle at a UHaul across town. In total, we wasted almost 2 hours trying to get this truck.
