Staff is always courteous and efficient. The one time I did experience a longer than expected wait, someone came over to the car and said they had a high volume of cars at the time (which they did) and they apologized for the delay. This was a nice touch so I didn't have to worry or wonder what was going on. That being said, they could do a better job of maintaining the overall neatness and cleanliness of the store. And keep the shelves better stocked. The worst, though, is the bathrooms. They always seem to be a hot mess.

I was very disapointed in the condition of the store! The bathroom definitely needed attention, one sink had no running water. The bathroom had not been cleaned for a while. While in the fitting room, the floors were very dirty and dusty along with strands of dust dirt hanging from the ceiling vents. This store is packed with merchandise but DEFINITELY needs cleaning and attention.

There are even fitness related businesses (pilates and barre). The parking, though, seems to have been designed to support a lot less traffic than what comes through the plaza. It is always a mad house and a dash to find parking spaces. And you feel like you are putting your life at risk if you try to cross the parking lot on foot. It has gotten a little better since the opened the space between McDonalds and the plaza (easier access to the traffic signals to get to 22). But it is hard to get into and out of, especially if you need to make a left.

It is bright and clean on the inside. Not like those stores that have shrunk in their own footprint. I honestly cannot remember what I came in here for once I stepped inside. I got distracted and lost within the store. I looked around for a good time and noticed it was getting closer to closing time and hurried myself along. I stopped in every section before I made my way to the front of the store. When at the register I appreciate that they pay attention to what you buy and sometimes make a comment on an item. Then they always attempt to get you to apply for a credit card. I know it's a pitch and part of your job, but I don't need to answer this question all the time.

This particular Costco in Homestead opened in 2007, and it contains many of the same types of products as do other locations of Costco. For several years, my husband and I have been Executive members of Costco, and we have off and on shopped at this Costco. This store includes departments of groceries, electronics, jewelry, appliances, clothing, accessories, health and beauty, books, optical, hearing aid center, pharmacy, food court, gas station, tire center, etcetera. We shop here to stock up on groceries (e.g., chicken, salmon, pierogies, asparagus, caesar salad, and granola bars), household cleaning products (e.g., paper towels, toilet paper, and pods for laundry and dishes), and hygiene products (e.g., contact solution). They also have good deal on gift cards, winter coats, computers, and batteries. We think that Costco's products are a high quality and that their prices are low. I often forget to bring my large tote bags from home, so I appreciate that Costco provides free cardboard boxes near the cash registers. The cashiers have always accurately rung up our purchases and politely thanked us.

Very little national stores left here now. There are more empty stores than ever before. Sad. There are a few good stores left including, Macys, Dick's Sporting Goods, JC Penny's, Kay Jewelers Hallmark, Cinemark Theater & Red Robin. Dime deals can be found but not always. Service is average at best in most of the surviving stores. The video game arcade has a Zombie Laser Tag which is a fun place to have kids birthday parties. The mall was recently purchased by Walmart and is due to be demolished in 2027 so it's fair to say that it's in a state of limbo now. We shall see how this works out.

My husband told me that we have previously shopped at Monroeville Mall, but I do not see a previous review from me about it. Recently, we visited this mall to shop in the stores. I had a list of stores that I wanted to visit, but when we walked around the mall, I did not see all of the stores. Perhaps those stores went out of business, and the mall did not update its website? The mall did have some vacant storefronts. I think that it is a "just OK" mall at best. My favorites stores here were Macy's and American Eagle. In addition to dozens of stores, some of which are locally owned and sometimes sell unique merchandise, other major businesses here include JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, a movie theater, and some restaurants in the food court and outside.
