I went to Songbird Artistry to see their selection of used film cameras. I learned about the store via Facebook's Marketplace. I was pleasantly impressed with the entire store. I brought two point and shot cameras for myself; plus a small gift for a friend. I paid less than 15 dollars. In the front of the store there are various handcrafted items. While in the back of the store there is an abundance of eclectic vintage items. The owner of the store is very kind. I highly recommend stopping by the store. You will find at least one item that will peak your interest - if not many. I look forward to returning to Songbird Artistry.

I'm so glad I wandered into this store today! The art is beautiful and ideal for gifts, the owner Debby is so kind (and talented--her stained glass work is reason enough to check this place out), and there is a new added bonus just WAITING to meet you: the sweetest shop puppy ever, Ruthie. Go to Songbird, friends!!

Ari, the owners dog, seems to greet you when walking in

I finally stopped in and cannot wait to go back. Met the owner and felt welcomed by her sweet kindness, not to mention the way she shared her beautiful rescue dog with me. Ari, the dog, reminds me of my childhood dog and I was smitten. The works of art all around the store are displayed in a cool and interesting way. I saw a few items i want to go back for - i was in a hurry to get back to work and couldnt stay as long as i wanted to. I cannot wait to go back!

It was something we have always wanted to do, but it always sold out before we had the chance to. As the glass blowing experience approached, I took the day off work and we coordinated an entire day around the session. We were very excited to go. On September 27th, we received our confirmation email reminding us of our upcoming session. On September 29th at 3:07 pm, we received an automatic cancellation email that our appointment had been cancelled and we needed to reschedule. The email provided no explanation for the cancellation. There was no additional email sent and no contact attempted by phone. Confused, my boyfriend tried the number provided and left a message. He also sent a Facebook message. Concerned, I called the company as well and after 2 calls, reached Janine (spelling?). She explained that they didn't receive the glass supplies needed for the session and that they were cancelling all sessions on Saturday and all sessions on Sunday. I asked if they were going to reschedule or offer an additional session for those who have already signed up. I was informed that I could reschedule after January 1st, 2018 because the rest of the pumpkin workshops were booked. I mentioned that a glass pumpkin wouldn't really do me much good in January and she agreed. I asked if we could come another time instead. She told me that she would speak with the guys who run the workshops and call me back. She didn't seem concerned and it was like she was caught off guard by my questions. On October 4th, I still hadn't heard back. I called the company again and left a voicemail for Janine asking for a return call. Today is October 10th. I just attempted to reach Janine again and it went to her voicemail. I left another message, but it's been 11 days since our first conversation. I don't have high hopes that she will call me back. I understand that things happen. I'm not sure why supplies weren't ordered ahead of time (since we booked 2+ months prior and they had already had a weekend of workshops), but even then I can understand that it might have been out of their control. I'm not an expert in glass supplies, but I would imagine that there has to be more than 1 supplier. All of that aside, there is absolutely no excuse for how it has been handled. I would expect a phone call or email explanation for the cancellation. As a customer, I shouldn't have to make numerous attempts to find out if it was cancelled intentionally or in error. When called, I would expect that a business do everything it can to accommodate those that were cancelled. An additional session could have been opened for those who were still interested in attending a workshop. Ironically, Vessel Studio Glass has a 48 hour cancellation policy in which you will forfeit 100% of your session fee if you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment. They provided only 24 hour cancellation notice to us and were not apologetic in any way. They also did absolutely nothing to try and make it right. I am extremely disappointed with my experience and wish that we would have had the opportunity to attend the workshop that we signed up for.

As the organizer of the event for my birthday, I arrived ten minutes early (with 3 others) to be respectful of our reservation (not realizing they didn't open yet). Staff was inside and the door was open. It was pouring rain so we came inside. A staff member told us we had to wait outside. I said "I am Alaina and have the reservation for 11am. Do we have to wait in the rain?" And they said yes. I was flabbergasted. This is Lawrenceville so you can't simply walk back to your car in the parking lot and wait. A much better response from a business who specialize in customer experience is "welcome! We're happy to have you celebrate your birthday with us. We open in 10 minutes so we're not quite ready for you yet, however, you're more than welcome to wait over *whatever place most appropriate* or if you want to brave the rain there is a coffee shop a few stores down if you want to grab a coffee first" That would have been the appropriate response. Not. We're not open. Wait outside. (Do I have to wait in the rain?) Yes. That being said, Alexis was very friendly, and she assisted our group. I'd suggest the business not scheduling reservations before 11:15am.

We called around noon, and they made us a 2:30pm reservation. We arrived a bit early so my husband and I could order coffees, and we bought a baked good for my children (ages 4 and 6). I think some might be caught off guard by the macchiato at this cafe, but they are true to Italian size and style (says the prior northern Italy resident). My husband ordered a double and had them add the bourbon caramel flavoring to it (not true to Italian style - ha!). He said he really liked it, and I enjoyed teasing him with a little "pinkies up!" call out when taking his photo. I ordered a decaf Americano (boring, I know) and also enjoyed it. Our children split a chocolate chip scone. There were a variety of muffins to choose from, croissants, and gluten-free items as well. Soon, it was time for our painting reservation. I have to say, everyone we interacted with was patient, helpful, and kind. They each seem to enjoy their job. They came around the tables often to ask if we need anything, and would bring additional paint or offer help and advice when needed. There is a nice variety of ceramics to choose from for painting as well. All in all, we very much enjoyed our visit and would certainly go back again! I was thinking it could be a fun outing for a Girl Scout troop or any kind of club or organization. You could go and paint ornaments, which are affordable and easy to do. I may have to pass that idea past our Girl Scout troop's leader. :)
