I don't understand why Peloton is wasting money having three people on shift during a weekday, the store was completely empty and all three were on their phones when I walked in...
They did manage to say "hello" but obviously did not listen--when asked if I had a peloton, I said I had the bike and tread but was interested in the tread+.
To be honest? If someone had engaged me into talking about the tread+, showed me the features, and talked about the cost? I probably would have upgraded today.
I asked about honoring the sales prices on peloton apparel right now, and the salesperson looked it up on their tablet and said no, it's full price here.
Ok, no worries, I'll order that apparel online.
Then that salesperson proceeded to take up her position leaning up on the tread+, when I was actually trying to look at it and compare it to the tread, looking at me, and finally said something---telling me about knowing someone with a peloton and being able to get a credit with their referral code. Seriously?
I replied, ok, but that's how it always is? and the salesperson seemed to take offense to that, repeating "what do you mean 'always'?!", like they were offended by me--it was actually pretty disturbing and I quickly said "ok have a nice day!", while walking out of that store quickly....
It was a sad and disappointing interaction, to say the least. I wouldnt recommend this store to anyone locally interested, I would have them order online instead. read more
