I had an event last night that I needed them for, which is important for this recap. Around 3:00 PM on yesterday, I decided to head to the store because I hadn't received a pick up email yet and my event was at 6:30 PM. When I arrived, I found the sneakers in my size on the shelf. I tried them on and took them up to the register. I explained that I had placed an online order for same day pick up that had not been fulfilled yet. I said I went and found the shoes so could they go ahead and fulfill the order so I could take them and leave. The person at the register tried to say I would need to cancel my order and rebuy the shoes. Ummmm...why??? I already have an order! I told them I basically did the legwork for them--just look up my order number and fulfill it. It must have clicked in their head so that's what they proceeded to do. I received the email for pick up while I was standing at the register so I was able to get the shoes and go. I'm glad I went to the store myself and got my shoes off the shelf before someone else bought them. I seem to have issues whenever I go to any DSW in my area. I'll probably go on a break from buying from them.

First, they provide discounts to seniors and Military, woohoo! Tell your mama, your daddy and your cousins that these are real discounts. They offer the shoes that are carried in your regular department stores. This place was Clean and Organized, no paper on the floor or overrun trash cans. The colors were vibrant with plenty of lights. The walls were labeled in sections to prevent confusion. The staff were very engaging and courteous. The prices were in line with the quality of products offered. I liked shopping here and in fact bought another pair of shoes that I don't need!

Smells nice too! While it's a great store it was pretty difficult to get help or assistance from store associates. I'm assuming there weren't enough workers on schedule at the moment or the store was too big to keep track of customers in need of help. Other than that my check out experience was pretty good, not too many problems, quick and easy! Would certainly recommend!!

I finally made it down there a few days ago... Wow! If you know where the historic Bright Star restaurant is, you can find this place. It is right across the street. Parking is free and convenient. It's only 20 minutes south of Malfunction Junction, but a world apart from typical Birmingham shopping. When you enter the store, all you have to do is take a look around, and you know that this is something special. The variety of sneakers that they have cover all genres and tastes. You'll find everything from vintage Jordans to brand new Yeezys. With their business model, the store's inventory is constantly changing. After the sneakers, venture over to the clothing side to find some truly epic vintage t-shirts and outerwear. I purchased a bag full of t-shirts for what I would have paid for one of them on eBay. No real major department stores, none of the latest products, not too much of a food court. They've got a nail salon, a low end jewelry store, and one or two spots where you can get things to eat like chicken wings or hot dogs, maybe a burger or some fries. The food is unequivocally unremarkable, and the ambiance of the place just sort of screams, "you should leave this place". The mall is pretty small, and I think that the only actual national businesses there might be a Dominos Pizza, and a couple of Foot Lockers where you can find alot of shoes, but not really the latest ones. For insance, if you want the newest air max running shoes, you won't find them here. The mall sits next to an abandoned Wal-Mart, and has more parking than it will probably ever need, so that's good. They do have a variety of interesting things for sale at a few kiosks in the middle of the mall. I got myself a grill for just 20 bucks. Great deal. The redeeming factor here is that they've got a dominos pizza with great carryout specials. They've got grills for cheap, and they've got lots of parking. 1 star for each of those things.

The sales associate was so friendly and patient. I was looking for a men's dress shoe and they had tons of options even more in the clearance section. The sales associate told me they had more men's shoes in the back and asked me if I wanted her to look in the back for different colors. I ended up finding a pair of kids sandals for $5, a pair of women's sandals for $9 a cute pair of clear heels for $27 and the men's shoes were $15. This store was not crowded at all which is a plus for me especially when I'm in a rush. Definitely will return here.
