I received some Pelican bucks ($1 coupon coins) in the mail from my realtor and since it was almost 95 degrees today, something cold and refreshing sounded great! We decided to try it out. They have a drive thru set up currently. The tables are closed off, but don't let that stop you! They have over 100 flavors and some really fun combinations like unicorn, shark attack & dinosaur. I've driven past this bright blue building so many times, wondering how their snowcones taste like. I finally was able to go and boy, did they really surprise me (in a good way)! They offer over 100 flavors of ice, from Tiger's blood (strawberry and coconut) to mojito to pickles...you name it! I got the smallest cup for $2, and you can pick any 2 flavors, which is an amazing deal. I got lemonade and POG and also tasted the Sour Tsunami and Papaya. POG is a blend of fruits, sour tsunami was too sour for me, and papaya tastes just like the real fruit. A bonus is that their ice is very finely shaven, not like the bigger chunks of ice you get in other snow cones so it holds a lot of syrup :) Inside, the place is very clean and offers many toys for kids to play with. Outside, there are tables to sit at and enjoy the weather while you eat. I'm so glad there is a store that sells snowcones that's not only available at fairs but year around. Not that great. We had the Rasberry and Chocolate but there was only a hint of Raspberry. It tasted like eating snow. Even our teens did not finish there's. No flavor. They were very busy and space was cramped. read more

This has become my summer obsession this year. I've frequently visit the Grovetown and Augusta locations. This review is for the Augusta location. It's a nice store front where you can actually sit and enjoy your SnoBalls inside or out. There's games for kids and adults alike to play inside. The menu is a massive choice of snoball flavors to choose from. There are top menu choices which are a combination of flavors they created into a signature snoball like the Frogger or you can mix several flavors together to make your own. What I like the most about the SnoBalls is once the ice starts melting down the flavors still taste good. The family 4 pack (2 regular cups and 2 kiddie cups) for $10 plus tax is a deal. Best way to beat the summer sweltering heat. read more

It's sweet, it's cold, it's better than what you're probaby used to....I'm talkin bout Pelican's Snowballs!! My (and the soon to be baby) snowball: I got the fruitasia topped with a little coconut cream. The flavors really worked well together! The fruitasia tastes like a refreshing, lightly sweet strawberry. I was highly impressed with the ice...suuuper fine like cotton candy and NOT like those chunky ice chips in a TYPICAL snow cone that don't hold any of the syrup but instead, it slides down to the bottom of the cone and drips through to a sad puddle on the ground like the tears of a child expecting a mouthful of flavor, only to come up short. With Pelican's, the ice and the syrups become one...it's a beautiful thing...lol The Boyfriend's snowball: The boyfriend got half candy apple and half caramel..really delicious!! Tastes kinda like a cherry coke once it melts together. He enjoyed it and we both agreed that once it REALLY gets hot outside, this will be our go to spot for sure! The price and stuff: We both got the regular size which surprisingly held way more than I expected! If it's your first time, I suggest starting with that size first. Couple of things. One: why would you put a large ball of this stuff on top of the cup for a kiddie size especially on the go? What do you think is going to happen? You're going to have a big ball of flavored snow in your car. Two: The sizes has drastically changed. Why am I paying the same amount for a less amount of stuff? Third: I paid for extra cream.. there was a small amount on top and that was it. Lastly, the flavor didn't even make it to about halfway down the cup. The other half was plain ice. When I want Pelicans, I'll go to another location. And obviously ask for a bigger cup. read more

I love shaved ice and have experienced quality shaved ice in places across the world. This is a decent location. The building itself is pretty small and basic, a large space for the actual equipment and counter. Small indoor and outdoor seating areas. The walls are brightly painted and they have some game areas (like a basketball toss) for children. Customer service is excellent. All smiles, thank you's, and ma'am/sir. No complaints! Shaved ice is sweet, no skimping on the flavoring which is a plus. Tons of options to choose from as well as toppings such as gummy-animals on specialty items. Price is right in the middle. About right. They have kids, small, and large size cups--I get the kid cup and it is PLENTY on its own! Definitely a perfect snack on a hot summer day in the CSRA! read more

Great snowcone, bad service. Young girl with braces is dishonest and a thief. Hopefully not stealing from the business too since she has no problem smiling in a customer's face before stealing. Rather than using the money I asked to forward for the car behind me (gave her 10 for my 3.50 order so 6.50 should have gone to the other order) she was going to pocket it until the woman behind me (my aunt) asked if I had paid partial. I put money in the tip jar outside while she was getting my order. As someone that has had to work solely for tips a good portion of my life, it's sad that these kids that don't know the value of money can't do an honest job. read more

A friend told me I had to try this place and so I did. I was expecting a little more than a small machine shaving ice and sugary syrups as toppings. My kids picked the very sweet toppings - similar in taste to cough syrups but I had the green apple and tsunami which was a good combo and not overly sweet. The texture of this shaved ice is different from kona and I prefer this one over theirs. One tip I give to the owner is to invest in a system where print out of orders (flavors requested) takes place. Just within our group of 10 snow cones, 2 orders were not correct bc the employee forgot to add in a flavor. Also for an establishment serving sugary snow cones their should be a napkin dispensers on the table - this establishment did not have any napkins present. Customers shouldn't have to wait in line or interrupt employees in the process of making snow cones for napkins. No wonder orders come out incorrect or missing flavors :) read more

I was intrigued by the name and went in to check it out. The set up was interesting with some games for kids. It has a few tables for sitting down. Best Snocones ever! Soft shaved ice! Not the chopped stuff. A million flavors! My favorite is the Butter Beer... like butterscotch.

I came here 15 minutes before closing time and the employees were EXTREMELY rude. They were very mean and said multiple times as they were making my snow cone that it was rude to go to a place 15 minutes before they closed. They then wouldn't let us sit inside, and tried to prevent us from sitting outside by saying very loudly they were going to wipe off the tables, and then even put mats on the table so that we couldn't sit there. Love the snow cones here, but the customer service and staff were awful. read more
