I was waiting at a table for 15 mins before I got up and had to find a waitress to get them to start taking my order. 3 other parties entered the diner and had the drink orders taken while my party was sitting with nothing. If I could give zero stars I would have. I understand the whole Covid thing. But they just seem very understaffed and inattentive. I shouldn't have to go looking for a waitress to start getting taken care of. They really need to do better. read more

Since we have sat down at least 4 people have come inside to tell the servers things were wrong. One woman had a frozen bagel, a teen said we never got our coffee or smoothie, a man came back and said these were supposed to be fries... should i go on? So far its not been a good experience and weve contemplated canceling our order and leaving , like the neglected woman in the booth across from us just did. The wait staff is clearly confused and disheveled. The "manager" had to tell our server thatshe was supposed to be taking care of these four tables, you would think she would know. We Haven't been given our food, but definitely anxious to see what was forgotten or unmade. I really dont know how they stay open. read more

Pelham Cafe use to be the place where you can have a great breakfast but now it has went downhill. They have downgraded the quantity and quality of their food. Every time I placed an order, it has arrived wrong. Recently they never failed at disappointing me. For anyone reading this, rethink twice. read more

Parking's fairly easy to find, the cafe itself is very clean, and there's a good selection of diner-style food to choose from. Pelham doesn't really have much in the way of diner service, and sometimes you just want diner food. I wouldn't say the food is anything special, but it's consistently decent. I especially love being able to eat grits with my breakfast, whether breakfast tacos, stuffed french toast or an omelette. Some of my friends and I have a standing Friday morning meet up there, and the staff is very understanding and accommodating to our brood (adults AND kids). read more

Decided to treat myself to Monday breakfast and my choices were J Cafe or Pelham Cafe - down the street from each other. I thought I'd try Pelham Cafe as I hadn't been in years. It was empty when I entered and I asked to eat at an outside table. My table just didn't feel clean and looked rather beat up! The waitress who finally served me seemed annoyed. Water was served in a chipped plastic cup. Juice came in a teeny version of said cup. The food was disappointing - a blown opportunity! Don't waste your cash. read more

I've been for breakfast about a half a dozen times now and have been happy each time. The food has always been fresh and prepared well. I went last week with a waffles fan. We found out the waffle batter is home made which is not always the case. Although she could not get blueberries in the waffle, they came on the waffle and were fresh. I've had omelets and the chila quiles a few times. The food always comes out hot. The plates look good, not sloppy. The service is very friendly and the place has a warm vibe. I did not know they are open for dinner as whenever I drive by in the evening they look closed. For me, this is a very good go-to breakfast place and my review is based on that. read more

This is a great diner. I lived in NYC for a decade and this is better than any local diner I had in the city. It's perfect for a great traditional diner breakfast or burger. If you are expecting fine china or exquisite wraps, your expectations need to change, not this restaurant. read more

Its a decent restaurant with great tasting food. I've had almost all of their wraps and I must say they're all extremely satisfying. There's nothing wrong i can say about this place but that they're not open late enough for me to catch dinner but definitely worth a lunch outing. After years of coming here, after years of visiting pretty much every other diner, it's pretty clear that this is the best diner in a 5-mile radius. It's comfortable, the staff are perennially welcoming, and the food keeps getting better. Not just better, but the menu keeps growing. Where else are gonna go to be able to choose from huevos rancheros, chocolate chip pancakes, or a full Irish breakfast (complete with black and white pudding)? Have been coming to this diner now for a few months whenever we're in the area on business early in the morning. The muffins are standard with a small selection, but taste fine, and the coffee is very good. Twice we've ordered "real" breakfasts with the same issue: both Chilaquiles and the Huevos Oaxaquenos (ordered on 2 different days) were ice cold underneath at first. Sending back the first got a snarl from the generally unfriendly waitperson (on a holiday weekend, but not very busy), but (on another day) sending back the second got apologies from the different very friendly waitperson. The Oaxaquenos once heated up were absolutely delicious, though the chorizo was VERY sparse; the seasonings and sauce and eggs were just right and just the perfect amount of spicy. At other times (ordering just pastry and coffee) we've noticed the service is a bit uneven; some staff are very friendly and attentive and others not at all. Prices are about standard or even a bit higher than usual in this area, but we like that there are some unusual choices here and will return. No Wi-Fi, which for us is a big minus. Restrooms very clean, and the classic car décor is fun. read more

Do not order Greek salad. I was charged 10.95 for a salad made with wet, wilted lettuce and a few chunks of cheese and no dressing. When I asked for dressing, I was asked if I wanted French or ranch. Pleasant diner-style family eatery. I like the gyro sandwiches and the BLTs. Service is prompt and you can also get food for takeout. A nice feature is that they have newspapers to read if you're eating at the counter by yourself or waiting to pick up takeout food. read more

You can smell pesticide as soon as you walk in the place, and you can taste it on the food. In the morning, they will often have the radio blaring in front (with endless ads) and hispanic music blasting in the back, so you get to listen to both at once. I would NOT bring my kids to this place. It's a shame, because we could really use a decent diner in the area. read more

The ac never works been going there for years and it never works properly. When its really hot and you want to eat nice and cool. This is not the place to do that. Took my wife for Pelham Cafe for Mother's Day. Ordered hot open sandwiched. Food served cold. We sent it back and asked for hot food. Came back cold again. Sent back again, came back cold a third time. Waitress never asked if we needed anything, like refill of drinks. Owner never though to adjust the check. Beware of this restaurant. read more
