The Pork fried rice brings a smile to my face every time. The only negative thing I have to say is that the eggrolls have changed in the past year or so. They used to be perfect. I would order only egg rolls at times as a snack if I was in the plaza. Honestly, egg rolls are how I define how good a Chinese food place is. A year and a half ago, I would have given Golden Star 5 stars, but the egg rolls have changed. Not sure if they started using a different vendor or what. They used to be flaky and full of fresh goodness that made my heart sing in Chinese. I had no clue what my heart was singing because I don't speak Chinese, but it was lovely. Now, the egg rolls are mushy on the inside and it makes me sad. This is not based on one or two visits. We eat from here at least once per month and the last year has been disappointing when it comes to the egg rolls. The rest of the food is delicious, which is why we keep coming back. But I must admit that if we find a place with better egg rolls, there is no telling what might happen. But if you don't like egg rolls, this place would be 5 stars for you! P.S. Bring back your old egg rolls.

Incredibly flavorful, warm, comforting, not too greasy. Just amazing. If I could give this a 6 out of 5 I would. The employees I spoke with, one of whom I presume was the owner, were delightful to talk to while I was picking up. They've been in business about 10 years. Which is something to be proud of in the hospitality industry. Was ready on time, piping hot, just excellent all around. They know what they are doing. The fried chicken container had vents to make sure it stayed crispy... and it did. I got green beans (which were practically addictive), veg lo mein, shrimp fried rice, soup dumplings, and sweet and sour chicken. All were just so so so good. Thanks Judy's for an amazing meal. For the last ten to fifteen minutes of our drive, I had noticed a restaurant called Mongolian Warrior, so I suggested we stop there. When we walked inside, we were offered drinks and some soup with sesame seed bread, which was delicious. We watched other customers go to the bar to select their raw ingredients, adding vegetables, shaved meats, and sauces. After assembling your bowl, you give it to the cook, who places it on a very large, hot flat-top grill. I noticed the cooks moving in circles, skillfully tossing the food across the heated surface. The restaurant allows you to go back for as many servings as you want, though they ask that you do not waste food or take any home. This seemed very fair, especially since I enjoyed three bowls of the delicious food. The atmosphere was laid-back, with a charming "mom and pop" feel. The food was great; my wife was so ecstatic that she couldn't believe how wonderful it was, and she already wants to return.

The restaurant was decorated cute but many tables needed to be cleaned so it didn't look very tidy upon entering the restaurant. Neither of us have been before so we needed explanations on how to order. I was very turned off because there was 1 iPad to order from and so we ordered one at a time. Keep in mind it was our first time and we really didn't get a clear explanation of what to do.. thank God we are actually tech literate so we figured it out on our own. It literally took seconds to get the food brought out to us which was good because it was about 10-15 minutes difference between our food coming out. Everything was okay. Just okay. They have a lot of toppings and sauce at the condiments bar up front but it was a bit disorganized and each person in front of us took a while before the person behind them. You end up paying like $36 a person for all you can eat but there's a lot more meats and add ons that cost extra so I'm not sure what they call it that. I will have to stick with my first impression of Hot Pots and stay away. I'm glad I tried them out but will probably not be coming back.
