My husband and I go here often. You walk in the door and immediately waitstaff walks up to you and seats you depending on availability. Everyone is so nice, food is always hot (we go at 5pm), and waitstaff is extremely attentive. Please do not listen to reviews of people who go to buffet at close, of course they are not going to have fresh food right at close. I have always been met with kindness and wonderful hospitality. When you leave, you pay at the counter near the door. You will be greater by a wonderful woman who displays pictures of her family behind the counter. She is the most professional and lovely person. This place is a joke. The food is good even you order to go but definitely not worth the trouble it takes to get it. I've ordered from here 4 times and have eaten buffet twice. I say I have given it every chance. My family loves Chinese food and we like eat it once a week but I will no longer patron here. The prices online and on the menu are incorrect every time I order. They change it at a whim and it's different per person it seems. If I call they quote one price over the phone and call back my order to me and then it's another In person and they don't get the order correct and things are left off that you order and you spend at least 20 mins at the counter trying to get it straight and when you leave your frustrated hungry and spent more out of pocket then it's all worth. You try to talk over the phone to get things correct and it's more frustrating than in person. The buffet is always low and the food is cold and the tea hot and served with no ice. So the food quality is what you would expect for Chinese buffet. Unfortunately, everything is loaded in sugar. Not the normal amount of sugar for Chinese food, but things that are too sweet. Crab Rangoon, beef and broccoli, and even the chicken was just way too sweet tasting. All of the food was just "okay" and sweet. General Tso's chicken was just breading. Now cleanliness... that's another thing. While they did keep up with cleaning the food surfaces, the ceiling is just covered in dust. The ice cream machine looks like it's never been cleaned and dried ice cream is all over the machine. Legs of the booths looked nasty and under the hot bars themselves were dusty and filthy. It also smells like cigarettes, which is unappealing. It costs 11.00 per person, which is just 50 cent less than the cost of Asian King Buffet in Franklin. So I would say that you're paying too much for the quality and cleanliness if you compare it to the restaurant in Franklin. Asian King Buffet quality and cleanliness is so much better than this place, so if you don't mind the drive I highly recommend them over Peking Gourmet II. I'm giving this two stars because the service was really nice, the food hasn't made me sick, they kept up with cleaning the hot bar, and it's reasonably priced for the options that are available to you. read more

I called to make a complaint and the lady I spoke with was rude and was blaming the food on us. She didn't speak well English. Went into the Lunch buffet and some of the food was not under hot lamps and all of it was cold. The entire place was empty, except for the severs and management. We barely got through a couple bites of each of the things we got before deciding to leave and go upfront. We explained we took a few bites but it was cold, and the man at the front desk told us it had been sitting out for two hours, and if we wanted it fresh we should have ordered ahead. He grabs his spoons and started to sing, the lady that runs the restaurant grabbed his arm and took the spoons away from his hands. She walked away so of course I calmed down a bit, confronted her. She told me to make sure I watch my child, I'm not sorry that I didn't stop him. If she didn't want him to "hit her table" she should have asked me to grab them from him. I had a bad experience today. I was embarrassed and was highly offended by the woman at the front. My mother and I went to have lunch. We both got a plate from the buffet and did not like the food. We tried our best to try and stomach it. I new my mother was just disgusted and I did not want to make eat it. So we went to the front to pay for the little chicken I ate and for the drinks. I told the lady quietly and politely we didn't like the food. She got very loud and told us we still had to pay for the food we didn't eat. She said it was policy. I ask her to show me the policy she did not. I asked to talk to a supervisor or a manager. She said no manager no supervisor. I asked to talk to someone. She gave me a number that was not the manager or owner. She was yelling to everyone leaving and coming in "THEY DONT PAY FOR THIER FOOD"!!! It was so embarrassing and she would not let my mother step in the foyer to sit down. She demanded she stay! I told her I just want to pay for only what I ate and my drinks. We just moved into the area and were really hoping for a good or at least decent Chinese take-out place but this is very bad. It's the only Chinese restaurant for miles so that's even worse. Buffet is pretty good...everything was fresh. Restaurant is clean. Curry noodles are tasty. Mongolian grill in back will season spiciness to taste choice of chicken or pork (or beef for dinner) and lo mein noodle, and 5-6 veggies. Owner has been at same location for 20 years. read more

We had the buffet which was low on many items, however they did refill at our request. That took time. So we ate what we thought we'd like but never had one complete meal. The rangoons were filled with some sticky substance, certainly NOT cream cheese. The crispy noodles were cooked then sugar added! Yuck. Those and rangoons are actually two of my favorite things, but not here!!! The rice was dry, we scraped the bottom of their gigantic pot at the end of one buffet line. It seemed like everything they do there is cutting corners rather than producing good, quality, fresh food. We even had stir fry cooked for us and it was soaked in soy sauce and the veggies barely cooked, not even al dente. I wouldn't go here again if I were paid to go. The one star is for the staff. It's not that I have anything against the Peking Gourmet, per se. I'll certainly eat whatever you bring me from the place. It's just that it doesn't make my list of favorites. Lately, I've found myself more and more disillusioned with the "Chinese buffet." I can never find anything I care about, so I usually stick to sushi and bypass all other opportunities. Peking does not offer sushi (they offer a very dry and sad imitation of a California roll), and therefore doesn't really have any redeeming qualities. It isn't especially cheap, either. There just really isn't any particular reason to visit Peking when there are two other Chinese buffets and one Japanese/sushi place (albeit with terrible service) in the same town. read more
