First let me state I use to be a regular customer. The noodle dishes get dryer and dryer every time and most taste the same. The pad see ewe use to have broad noodles and now just the small rice noodles. The basil is too chewy to eat and we found hard parts in the food which was odd. This very tiny restaurant is next to the Food Lion...had no idea that grocery store still existed. I got their Beef Pad Thai. Although the flavors are simple, it's not traditional. It had carrots and because we got our 3 meals To Go, the noodles did become mushy after arriving home to eat it. The quantity of noodles was a very, very generous serving! My parents got Soft Tofu Kung Pao. They can make modifications with the proteins easily & especially helpful since my parents are Vegan. They finally opened after being closed for several months. They were vacationing/remodeling. They new look is much nicer, cleaner, and more inviting. Almost nobody would eat in and only take out their food. They appear to have expanded their kitchen as well. The food is just as good as it always has been. They have traditional Chinese, Thai, as well as Sushi. The Sushi is a little better than the grocery store Sushi, but not as good as a real Sushi restaurant. However, their dumplings and Crab Rangoon are out of this world. The portions are HUGE! We split a meal (stir fry or Kung Pao chicken and still bring home enough for two more meals. For take-out, you never have to wait more than 15 minutes to get your food, which is incredible. They do such a robust business. But with 8 or 9 people in their kitchen, they can get a lot done in a short period of time. This is the go to place for most everyone wanting Chinese food in Haywood County. These guys don't mess around. Quick, clean, and yummy. You get a huge portion and it's fast but delicious. No complaints from me. You can see right into the kitchen. They're efficient so it's a great idea if you're pressed for time on your lunch break. There were quite a few customers here in their work uniforms. All the meals came out in 5 minutes or less. Our new Japanese favorite! Fresh, tasty, fair priced, and excellent service. You can usually tell the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by visiting the restroom and I can tell you that it's as clean as it possibly could be. This comes from experience as I've owned 12 Little Caesars Pizza restaurants. The atmosphere is basic but plenty of room. I was so disappointed when Ganko Express close down, but thrilled when I found out the owners reopened at a new location and under a new name Da Asian Kitchen. The menu is exactly the same as the old place, but the new place is a big improvement. (I do miss the drive thru window.) It's not the most amazing Asian food, but for the price, it's a good deal. I'm curious if this restaurant has changed owners or cooks. The meat used to be marinated and tasty. You used to get a mountain of veggies along with a meat and rice. The fried chicken and veggies was NOT the same as past visits. The breading was not good and the meat not marinated. About 10 vegetable pieces, 8 chunks of crummy chicken and 3 cups of rice were in the take out box. The sauces, if any, used in cooking were not so good either. Sooooo disappointed. read more

The crab rangoons were sweet and I am not a fan of this. This is the second chinese place I have come across since moving to this area with sweet rangoons. It is just plain weird. They should be on the dessert menu LOL. The moo goo gai pan did not taste right. I tasted a lot of sesame seed oil which is strange for this dish. The lo mein was made with spaghetti noodles eeeek! If you like PORK DUMPLINGS then this the place for you. As far as I know the only place to get REAL pork dumplings in Haywood county, they are some of the best dumplings I've had ANYWHERE. I'm not able to walk at this time so my wife went in and got our order, at the time I did not know the size of the servings so I got pork dumplings, crab rangoon and shrimp fried rice, clearly enough for two big meals. My wife also got shrimp fried rice the total for all of this feast was $21 we love and have had shrimp fried rice in every Asian restaurant in Haywood and this was the VERY BEST but far. My wife said it was REALLY clean and the service was SUPER. We will be going back and if I try other things I will critique them also. I have gotten take-out from Da Asian several times now and have been very happy with the quality, taste, and friendliness of the staff. And I am a big fan of 20% off sushi Tuesdays. A critique, however: yesterday I asked for broccoli only and no spice on my Mongolian Beef. I had previously asked how it was served and she said with onions, peppers, and hot chili. Well, that is NOT Mongolian Beef to begin with (should be: garlic, ginger, green onions, a little sugar, cornstarch, spy sauce), so I especially asked for broccoli only and no chili. When I went to pick it up, the ticket even said "broccoli only; no spice." I get home... open the take-out box, and there were the green peppers, onions, and chili flakes so I had to make trip # 2 and back again.... It was made as I ordered that time, but again - it was beef and broccoli at that point, not Mongolian Beef, but all in all the mistake was corrected and I will remember to check my orders in the future for accuracy. read more
