When Downtown in Dallas, there is a plaza that is a must see for me. It is not Cowboys or cattle drives. Not related to infamous moments in Dallas or great moments or fame. It is unique, mind stretching, cool to look at and a great place to just sit and watch the world go by. Pegasus Plaza has a really fascinating fountain and water feature. The rose quartz is really cool to see. The carved stones are interesting to look at and read. I love doing all of that! But be careful and not get up on the fountain as the security will run you off! (I'm a bad boy and well, tend to get run off every time I'm there.) Grab a lunch and eat there. Enjoy a soft drink or coffee. Bottom line, enjoy the beauty of the buildings, the park and the people walking by. It will help reset your mind and make your life more successful. Then you will be ready to soar like Pegasus!

Cute simple park right on Main Street. Clean and lots of pretty things to look at. There's a fountain, little streams with beautiful rocks, a swirly fountain thing, trees and shrubs. I liked the giant pink crystal in the water. Kids would enjoy visiting and walking around on some of the bigger rocks. I visited on a slow Sunday morning. I saw several families walking around and people with dogs. Lots going on around the park and plenty of tables and chairs, or rocks to sit on, so it'd be the perfect place to grab a coffee and people watch. I saw several families here and people walking their dogs. Great place to take a break or visit with friends!

Tables and benches that sit and people watch while eating lunch, etc. has a small water garden, too.

It's close to where I live, and I love having such a beautifully maintained green space nearby. There's lots of open lawn that would be perfect for a picnic or just soaking up some sunshine. It's dog-friendly (major points for that!), and I've consistently seen pet parents doing a great job cleaning up after their pups. Personally, I prefer this kind of open space over a traditional dog park--as long as your pup has excellent recall and listens well. Just a heads-up: Turtle Creek Blvd runs alongside the park and it's a busy street, so keep that in mind. One of my favorite things about this park is how it feels like a little escape from the hustle of the city. Maybe I've been lucky, but's it's never gotten overly busy during my visits. Whether you're walking your dog, taking a quiet stroll, or reading under a tree, it's just a nice vibe. Pro Tip: There is some street parking available, but only on certain sides depending on signage--so double-check before leaving your car. All in all, a relaxing and scenic spot in the heart of Dallas. Happy Exploring!

Though very small and delicate, this would the perfect place for photography, read a book, even perhaps some meditation. There is unique stones statues placed here from, Dragons, to gargoyles, angels. The trees are delicately placed, some I have never seen before with many beautiful colors and foliage. I loved it when I came to check it out, many much parking so you may get luck if there is not many people there, which usually there are for taking pictures. It is not a big place, it is very small, but enough to take a nice little stroll and enjoy for whomever made this place available to the public. Note - When we arrived there are sign's at the entrances that say, in order to enter this property you had to call a number that was on the sign and ask for permission first before entering. I did not call, and just walked around admiring the garden as many others did. Though, if you do plan on going, enter at your own risk ( You prob should call and ask for permission first). Sadly I did not take a picture of the sign. I was probably only there 15 minutes at the most to enjoy the whole garden. I'd love to go back with my camera to take some nice pictures sometime. Totally a nice little place to check out if you happen to be in this area.

The views of downtown and all the bridges is something else. You can feel like you're all alone out there, but so close to the action too. As a woman, we always have to be viligant about our surroundings, and I would not come here at night. I've been early in the mornings, when it's still a little dark out, so I usually walk up on the levees. You can see people coming from far away. I ran into an after-hours party one early Saturday, but since a flock camera was installed, I have not seen the kids out there - just people getting their fitness on, or the occasional hobo. I believe the entire trail goes about 4+ miles. When the weather cools off a little, I'll tackle the entire thing. Right now, I am enjoying the solitude and pumping up my music and dancing a little down the trail. If you hear cats screaming - it's just me singing along to Chappel Roan, so don't fear.
