So I've always had an average review for Peet's Coffee. The shirlington location always made my coffee so bitter but Vienna/Tyson's Peet is on point! I ordered a tall iced chai and it was everything you could imagine. Cold with ice but not watered down. Option to self add cinnamon, and tasted amazing with oatmilk. Service is fast. People were inside chatting or doing work on their laptop. It was a nice atmosphere and I was very pleased. read more

This is an awesome location, nearish to the airport so it's a good place to hang if you arrive early, and goodness knows their coffee is 8xs better than Sbux. They have lots of outlets for working. My complaint is that my cup was literally leaking out the side and as it dribbled out the cup all the way back to the counter, the barista stuck the leaky cup into a second cup (seriously couldn't you have poured it into the second cup?) and went back to work without ever looking me in the eye or saying a word. The coffee shop was nearly empty at the time, or I would have just thought they were busy and stressed. But no, they were acting irritated because I wanted a cup that wasn't leaking. Good coffee, good service, good location - what's not to enjoy about this Peet's coffee location. I've never sat down to enjoy my beverage but often have come in and out for a quick coffee or a pastry while running errands in the Tysons area. Outside of a semi tight parking lot I've got nothing but good things to say about Peet's. Outside of a "fancy" milk choice I keep my coffee orders rather simple and am limit any added sugars or flavors. Peet's is one of my favorite blends and I consistently get a good cup. Plus it's always pretty crowded whenever I stop in so I'd say many others feel the same! read more

You can improve the noise by the employees. My first time here trying to work and the employees are scramming to one another to talk about their weekend and eyebrow waxing slamming things around and telling customers names out very aggressively not necessarily the area is very small.... . Then the trash was being cleaned and not sure if they think this is their home but they are other people here trying to have a drink or work or chat with a friend. The garbage bags being waived around and the bucket slammed around at least 4 times very. I looked at the girl and she asked what??? I told her it's way too much noise behind me and not necessary she smirks. Please train them to be considered to others and their space. read more

This is a friendly little Peet's shop in a convenient location in Tysons. I enjoy using the app to order. Bonus: periodically, I earn free drinks! The patio is perfect for social distancing in nice weather. My only complaint is that I want more prices (or signs with prices) on coffee pods and other merchandise. Still the best place for coffee in Tysons Corner! This Peet's location added more outdoor dining tables immediately in front of the entrance with bright red chairs and restored some indoor tables. As of August 2021, masks are still required when going indoors (for safety due to the delta variant). While vaccination rates are higher than 77% in Fairfax County, this area gets a lot of out of town visitors for vacation, business, reunions, etc. On the plus side, the service is friendly and prompt whether you're getting a dark-roast coffee, cappuccino, or breakfast chorizo sandwich. I like the interior space, which is kept clean and provides a welcoming atmosphere. On the minus side, parking can still be a challenge during rush hour. But additional spaces are available on the side lot next to the Silver Diner on International Drive, or you can drive into the parking garage (and walk a short distance to the Peet's entrance). With the Peet's Reward app, you can earn points and free drinks if you're a frequent visitor. read more

We stopped in for coffee while waiting for Tysons corner to open this morning (a Sunday). There was plenty of open seating and not much of a line. I got the horchata oat milk cold brew and my fiance went with a cappuccino. Both drinks were ready for pickup in no time. I love, love, loved my beverage. It had a bit of cinnamon and wasn't too sweet. I had a sip of the cappuccino which I was tempted to make claim to, too. Usually I give Peet's 4 stars, so to be upfront this isn't personal. Rather it's based on what I go to Peet's for. Some people drink, smoke who knows what, or go gambling. None of these activities interest me, but I like a book and cup of coffee to relax with. This store is in busy Vienna/Tyson's Corner. They do their best to maintain an excellent store, but it's so busy you can't really unwind here. I do like the comfortable seating, although that's detracted by route 7 and large crowds. To the employees I thank them. The men and women who work here are awesome. Props to them having to deal with entitled masses. You couldn't pay me enough. They are fast along with the crazy crowds, and always very polite. These folks keep this location clean and functioning quite well. To them my deepest of respect. Peet's offers seasonal beverages (such as the Golden Caffe Latte), coffee & espresso, blended drinks, tea, and various food items (such as baked goods, grab & go meals, and breakfast sammies). I ordered my usual, the Chai Latte, with light ice, half and half, and with extra chai - MAN! This place knocked the drink out of the ballpark! The drink was creamy and had the perfect amount of spiciness from the chai! The staff members were all so friendly and welcoming. Came here in June when I visited DC. I have seen Pete's coffee in supermarkets but never knew that there was an actual store. Apparently, this is a fast growing chain in that area. I didn't expect much but the décor was brighter and more welcoming than a typical Starbucks. Not stuffy, not over crowded. Plenty of iced drink selections and you can also opt for real mugs for hot coffee concoctions. The baristas also take their time to craft the perfect latte art. This place also offers the usual pre-packed coffees, teas, merchandise, decent selection of pastries, prepped sandwiches and warm breakfast selections. I got the mocha and coffee cake and they were good. Service was laid back but also professional. read more

There's a couple Peet's in the vicinity of a couple miles, but this one is definitely our favorite. Best in terms of service, and drinks taste pretty consistent. They always greet you warmly, and drinks always come out with a little latte art on top. The cafe is also set up so you can work or chit-chat effectively. There are 3-4 tables of seating outdoors. Favorite cold drink: black tie (coffee or tea) Favorite hot drink: havana cappuccino The summer Friday afternoon BOGO promo they offered this year was awesome. Made Fridays that much sweeter! Thumbs up on the coffee, with Peet's being amongst the best of the mass-market brands, but thumbs down on the breakfast offerings. My last couple of visits were uninspiring in the breakfast department, and today's maple chicken sausage sandwich further solidified that in my mind. Besides being served all which way and that (requiring re-assembly), it was way too sweet, tasting more like a breakfast pastry than a savory breakfast sandwich - a total miss. How did this ever get out of their test kitchens? I tossed mine out after a few bites. A net three stars for a great dark roast and a wonderfully friendly staff, with points off for forgettable (and sometimes unpalatable) food. Spend your carb calories elsewhere. read more

I would only suggest that in this automobile-driven landscape, you should try to park behind the building, and walk up to the store-front facing Route 7. I stopped into Peet's on the way to Reston Town Center to meet a friend for lunch. He was running late so I decided to pop in for a black tie (sweetened condensed milk, cold brew, topped with half & half) because I had the biggest craving for a cafe sua da aka Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. The black tie is a strong contender. It's not cloyingly sweet or overpoweringly rich like the Vietnamese iced coffee and very similar to my Starbucks go-to drink. Though the taste of the drink is great for daily consumption, it was lacking the strong caffeine kick, even in a 16 oz. I can definitely see why people like this place more than sbux. There is plenty of seating and the place is kept very clean. Parking can be tight at this location but it wasn't too hard for me to manage in the afternoon. What makes a great coffee shop takes more than a coffee bean. It takes comfortable ambience, friendliness of the staff, quality of service, and freshness of coffee. And I can confidently say that this place has it all. It's a corporate coffee shop without the feeling of it. All staff members are full of smile, beautiful personality of their own, and skillful at what they do. I was a frequent customer of the Caribou coffee before Peets acquired them and I can honest say that I am glad. I recently got hooked on their Americano which I cannot seem to stop thinking about. Becca, one of the manager is always super friendly and very knowledgeable about every product. Alex, seems to have a great sense of pride in his product and trickles down to my confidence in what I buying. I work nearby so I frequent this place and I can't remember them ever being dirty. It has been nothing but spotless. I will continue to support Peet's coffee and I am glad that they are neat me. Bravo! read more

I liked this location a lot. It's not too busy and there is an average amount of seating of different types so that I could sit down and get some work done. I was impressed that they have outlets with built-in USB ports, something I'm kind of surprised that "other coffee chain" has not thought of yet. I also like the coffee here better because it is less burnt. This is a nice location to meet somebody for a chat or get some work done for a couple hours. There's music in the background so it's not completely quiet but I still enjoyed it and it's a good location in Tysons. read more

I ordered the Black Tie iced coffee and it was delicious. It has sweetened condensed milk so you don't have to request sugar to be added. I was disappointed that I didn't see the ombré effect that others have posted, but I really like the coffee. When I usually order ice coffee I never finish it all the way cause there is so much ice that it just gets too watery. But I finished this one! Lol I will definitely order other drinks next time. But for anyone who does like coffee without getting the bitter coffee taste, I would recommend getting the black tie. Customer service was great. Peet's is A-OK. I LOVE their coffee and will go out of my way past other coffee shops to go to a Peet's if there's one nearby. I think I've given other Peet's 4-stars, but this one is just 3 stars for two reasons. First, the parking is limited. If you go mid-day, it might be easier to park around the corner in the diner parking lot. Second, I've been here several times now, and the staff just never seems happy to be here. They're very straight-faced and stoic and don't seem happy to have you as a customer. They're not rude by any means. They're prompt and professional. They just lack energy... sort of like me before I've had my morning coffee... did the manager cut back on freebies for the employees? read more

Big fan of this place and have been a number of times now. A few things to mention: 1. The coffee tastes less burnt that Starbucks, which is a huge plus, although it may provide slightly less of a caffeine rush 2. The staff is great. They are laid back, ready to answer questions, and even let me stay past closing a recent night so I could finish something I was working on 3. It's never been super crowded - if you're looking for a good place to post up and work, it's rare you'll have trouble finding a seat. The matcha wasn't my cup of tea (personal taste) but everything else I've gotten there has been spot on, especially the mocha. Will certainly be back! read more
