Ohhh Peets coffee you are quite delicious. From the coffee to pastry and breakfast sandwiches. Every time we travel I like to try coffee places we don't have where we live. And this coffee shop is definitely on my top 10. The velvety nutty coffee taste with milk in my latte was the perfect start on a cold winter morning here in California. I randomly decided to come to Peet's one day and since that day, I've been frequenting Peet's a lot more often. It's definitely a different crowd and vibe compared to your local Starbucks. The baristas here are great and I haven't had a bad experience with any one of them. All super kind, easy to talk to, and patient with everyone. I've only come by to do work on my laptop twice and never found a problem with finding a table to sit for hours. I genuinely think I'm starting to like the drinks here more to be honest, and I don't know why it took me so long to realize it. I ordered a black tie cold brew one day and then a london fog cold brew another day. Both were REALLY good and I appreciated the strong coffee taste that was still there. Starbucks egg bites are better in taste but price is pretty high too for a one bite food. -1 for the lady barista. I wish i got her name. she works the first shift perhaps she woke up at the wrong side of the bed. No personality and doesn't even know how to greet customers. I said thank you for my drink and no response. She just moved on making her next drink. It was not even busy since it's still very early on a Sunday morning. once i've been introduced to peet's, i never turned back. i LOVE peet's, definitely prefer it over starbucks any day. this location is the closest from where i live, which is about 20 ish minutes (without traffic of course). it's definitely a drive for a coffee shop but it's always worth it. peet's quality is unmatched! their drinks are always consistent, tasty, and never too watered down or such. the prices for their sizes are pretty good too, i have nothing to complain about it. staff is always customer friendly. they take their time with their customers and really engage with them. something i've noticed with the other peet's locations i've been to, they're all super friendly and patient which i've always appreciated. they have a mobile app where you can order ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line. not such a big fan of their rewards program though :/ in my opinion, it takes too long to accumulate enough points to get any reward (which is a free drink). they used to do a BOGO FREE drinks on Wednesdays but I haven't seen the offer in a while so hopefully they bring it back!! :) i normally get my regular: iced caramel latte. also tried their new holiday drink today, peppermint mocha and i definitely recommend it. especially with the weather getting colder and cozier, it's a must! cleanliness: 10/10 read more

I feel somewhat funny giving this spot a three-star review, but hey, I'm being completely honest about my experience and feelings about franchise cafes... I feel funny because there was nothing wrong with the location, service, and overall experience, but there was nothing that stood out or made it an exceptionally great tea or service. I don't drink coffee. I've established over the years that caffeine and I are not friends, but have mutual respect for each other at a distance. I just go overboard and end up not sleeping for a week and get anxious and wirey. Long story short: I come to cafes for the teas and sweet non-caffeinated drinks. When I do indulge in overpriced beverages, they better be good! That is why I give this place a 3. My chai tea latte was almost a bit bland as the tea may not have been allowed to steep for much time. There was not much spice or umph to the chai flavors, or the barrista didn't put the right ratio of chai tea to milk? I don't know. I was just a bit underwhelmed compared to wonderful chai tea lattes I have had from Peet's Hayward location. I posed somewhat of a unique question to the cashier, asking that he warm up my Trader Joe's black bean borrito as I was on my way to a conference in Sacramento in the early hours of the morning and needed a microwave. He asked his manager, and they graciously told me that they could not warm up outside food. Okay, corporate rules, I get it. I used the restroom while waiting for my drink, and unfortunately, their toilet lever was broken... Overall, my drink was ready fast and everyone was polite, but I would have appreciated my drink taking a little more time if it meant more time for the tea to steep to develop flavor, as described above. read more

I love coming to this place every morning! The staff is always so polite and friendly. The coffee is just the best you can find in town, the beans are always freshly roasted, the aroma of fresh ground coffee is irresistible. The Baristas know how to make the drinks the right way, the milk is steamed to the right temperature and their espresso shots are actually alive when you get them, I know because I always have 3 shots with steamed half and half, the quality of my drink is consistent which is why I keep coming back. read more

Love this place. This is my go-to for a lunchtime pick-me-up as I work just down the street! Love the coffee (OBVIOUSLY) but I'm a simple girl and usually just order a regular cup of Joe or a cold brew. The Black Tie is also very good or the cold brew London fog. Also, try the warm breakfast sandwiches! You can't go wrong with any of them, and I've tried them all! However, if you come later on in the day they may be out of certain ones. Nice atmosphere to meet up with a friend or study/get work done but the chairs get filled up quickly as this is not a huge establishment. I think the main issue is as if they don't ever have enough staff. At least for the most part they're friendly. The baristas are also hit and miss when it comes to making a good drink. So, even though Seattle's World-dominating coffee chain has a shop also near the mall, I'll drive out of my way, over to the other of the side of the freeway for my caffeine fix. This Peet's is like most others, but a bit more spacious. There's a decent amount of parking in the lot right in front of the store & service for me has been both friendly & efficient. + there's a bonus, there's a $1 off any beverage check-in offer on the Yelp app! I love how Peet's always has a Yelp check in offer. Peet's coffee really doesn't need any review, people will come here regardless if you rate it a 1 or a 5 star. What I do love about Peet's over the other chains (S'bux) is they provide vegan pastries. I've tried a variety of different drinks from Peet's from the standard coffee to the Raspberry Macha Freddo. I haven't really had any drink that was horrible. They still need to work on the Green Tea Match (hot version). It's not as good as S'bux but the new Raspberry Macha Freddo is off the chart. It's my new drink addiction. What I also love about Peet's is they don't charge extra for soy unlike other places. At least the ones I've encountered. As I'm writing this review, I just realized I did have one bad experience and that was my attempt in the fall to have a ginger latte with a ginger cookie....OMG bad mistake, wayyyyy too much ginger going on. The Keurig pods they offer now are really good if you want to make coffee at home. If your vegan, they offer the following pastries to accompany your drink...oatmeal, chocolate chip and Ginger Cookie. They also have a scone but, beware as it is very dry and without a cup of coffee it can get stuck in your throat, not a pleasant experience. read more

Hands down!! Fairfield Peets customer service is the BOMB!! And guess what?!? I converted my boyfriend from a Starbucks fan to a Peets fan.. To celebrate, I bought him a $25 gift card and Peets gave me a complimentary drink for free.. I don't think Starbucks does that.. When I was here last, I heard that Peets will give you a complimentary brewed coffee, of your choice, when you buy a bag of their coffee.. WHAT?!?! At Starbucks, you had to be a GOLD star club card holder, but recently that has changed. They NO longer offer FREE soy or syrups.. They will charge!!! Ugh, in this economy, you have to keep your dedicated clients happy or else, they will leave.. and in this case.. that's what my boyfriend and I did.. LEAVE.. Their pastry choices are delicious too! When I asked at 5am if my 7 year old could use the bathroom, staff told me that I could try Raley's (not open at that time) or "the gas station across the street". It's a shame I spent money here. The Fairfield (Travis blvd.) location has 2 bathrooms and they couldn't help a healthy customer with a child that needed a restroom. read more

Pete's coffee has always been better than Starbucks. Thankfully they dont have a drivethorugh so I dont have to wait 30 minutes to get served sub-par coffee. Peets coffee is a great place to get yourself a delicious coffee and some tasty food. Most Peets coffee locations have highly trained baristas that know how to make a proper espresso and turn that into a hand crafted treat. The location here in Fairfield seems to always have newer employees...they are always very nice and do make good drinks, but it can take 20-25 min to get a drink if they are busy. Even when it's just a steady trickle of customers coming in the wait times are higher than many other Peets locations. I would like to see more experienced baristas working here but I also feel lucky to even have a Peets here in Fairfield. read more

I usually stop here on my way to snowboard in Tahoe but I stopped here last Saturday around 6:30 am on the way to a backpacking trip. I always love it. I've never had a bad latte. It's super easy to get to from hwy 80. One thing I hate about Peet's is that if you want whip cream on your latte they charge you 35 cents and then they only give you a tiny little squirt about a dime size. So, if your drink doesn't come with it, I wouldn't order it. At least here, they warn you about the extra charge. read more

There's also an employee named Pete that works there that is hands down one of the funniest people I've ever heard in a public setting. I'm not the type of person who orders food or drinks and sends them back because of stupid little things. But this weekend this mother fucker barista pushed me off. Here is the deal: my wife and I went to Peet's, which by the way, we have gone to the same location for quite some time. We ordered our lattes but after trying them, it turned out they were warm and not hot as we normally get them. ok no problem, no big deal I told myself. I can just ask the barista to put it in the microwave for 30 seconds, right??? Well you can not be anymore wrong !!! Barista told me he would re-do the drinks. fuck, ok whatever just get me hot drinks. The barista called out the drinks once again for pick up and I get them but as I was walking out I tried them and to my surprise the drinks were barely warm, WTF, again ? The barista had one job, one job only. I went back to the counter and gave the drinks back. I told the barista the drinks were not hot for the second time and told him Thanks for nothing I will go somewhere else since it is obvious This location can not make a hot coffee anymore.. Too bad the ownership has had to change employees and the new employees are there just to collect a paycheck. Attention to the ownership: replace your employees, teach them, train them, empower them. You are in customer service and your real "boss" is the person walking in and placing an order. Whenever the boss gets fed up of the BS you have going on behind the curtains the Boss will fire you and you will not have a business no more. To my barista dude I asked twice for a hot coffee, you could not deliver. get another job, find something you enjoy doing. Please stop ruining people's experience and running this business down. No one in line was acknowledged, thanked for waiting, or otherwise greeted with any decent customer service contact. They appeared to be solely focused on on-line orders. The COVID restricted capacity of 11 persons was up to 14 when I left without any coffee. I stop here at least 2-3 times per month when driving up to Sacramento to see my parents. It's a pretty convenient place to grab some coffee and/or a treat mid-way through the drive between Sac and SF. Always plenty of parking and in spite of the sometimes intimidating line at the counter, it moves pretty quickly and I've never spent more than five minutes waiting. read more
