I rolled in around 4pm and although this location was busy and short-staffed, they assured me they could/would take care of me. I had to have it towed from the Toyota dealership adjacent to Midas to a shop in Junction City (The Station / 10/10 would recommend. They fixed the damage done to my truck for roughly a quarter of what Midas tried to charge me) to have it fixed. I had noticed some of the sounds and feelings of thinning brake pads a few days prior and when they brought the truck out they effectively held me hostage with a quote well over 1k dollars. When I attempted to express my confusion and frustration with the turn of events the tech and supervisor both became very difficult, condescending and accusatory. I eventually moved my truck off their lot because I did not trust anyone there and I'm glad I did. The tow truck operator called me and said that when he was hooking up the truck some Midas employees attempted to stop him by saying I had an unpaid bill. None of this was true and that kind of behavior is beyond unprofessional and very suspect. My parting advice to anyone thinking of using their "services" is to GO ELSEWHERE. There are so many other options where you can go and be assured that you won't be taken advantage of. I am a 41 year old man who had my 8 year old daughter with me and they tried to take advantage of me. I can only imagine if you are a young student, spouse of a deployed Soldier or anyone with minimal automotive knowledge how they could attempt to fleece you. Hope this was helpful!
