I found one solid review for Extreme, and it was the first recommendation an O'Reilly Auto Parts employee had for me. If you find yourself in need of repair in Junction City, I can't recommend these folks enough. They managed to squeeze in an out of towner in dire need of help as quickly as they could, and were amazingly friendly in the process. I dealt with four different employees and each was just as friendly and helpful as the last. Knowing I was on a rushed schedule, they did what they could to get me back in the road, and went so far as to give me the exact part number I'd need when I had time to get to a dealership. Seems like a fairly small detail, but it's those little touches that make the extra difference. They brought me in to visually show me exactly what was wrong, give a detailed breakdown of what was happening, and had me take off to test drive it and make sure I was comfortable with it before continuing on my journey. I have terrible luck with automobiles, so I've spent my fair share of time in shops. I can say with 100% accuracy that this was the most pleasant experience I've had in a shop, which is extra impressive considering the nerve-racking circumstances I found myself in.

My wife, broke down in Durango Colorado due to a deer collision and Willie T and team coordinated the whole effort to get my wife in some temporary wheels and got the truck back to the body shop in Kansas. So important to my wife and to me as all my work tools were in that truck. Just last week, they bent over backwards to help me out on my 2021 High County. My trailer broke down near this business, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing…read more I was charged approximately $2,000 just for them to bring their equipment out roughly 12 miles, and the invoice listed 21 miles. The repair also took nearly three times longer than the timeframe I was originally given. I was billed for 10 hours of labor, even though the work performed should not have taken that long. If I had access to my tools (which were buried in the trailer), I estimate I could have completed the repair in about five hours myself. Additionally, I was billed for labor related to items that were damaged during the repair process. I had purchased several parts and specifically requested that they be replaced on both sides. Not all parts were replaced as requested, and the unused parts were not returned to me. I picked the trailer up at 10:00 PM, and due to the late hour it was difficult to fully inspect the work at that time. In total, I was charged close to $4,000 for a tire, rim, and hub replacement. Based on the scope of work, I believe the cost was excessive for what was completed. I would not recommend this business based on my experience.

Yesterday evening we were pulled off in Chapman Kansas to let the kids potty and stretch when my husband decided to check all the tires on our truck and travel trailer. He noticed a large bald patch with material starting to show on one of our trailer tires. He said it could have been bad and may have even caused us a blowout had we not seen it. So i grabbed my phone and Googled a tire shop. Your Firestone location in Junction City came up, which was 11 miles from where we were. I called and spoke to Nicole, the manager at the store. She said they would be closing in less than 10 minutes but to come down and she would take care if us! We got our twins back in their car seats and drove straight to the shop. When we pulled up it was a little after their closing time but both Nicole and Dylan(the awesome technician) were waiting for us! They got the tire changed and us back on the road within minutes! We had an emergency while traveling from Colorado to Arkansas on I-70. I called ahead and was told…read morethey could see us, so we drove our vehicle several miles off the highway in an already dangerous condition to get to them. When we showed up, the front desk acted like they had no clue what I was talking about. The guy checked with the manager, who said we'd have to come back the next day for an appointment. When I pushed back and said I'd just spoken with someone, the desk employee pulled up the call record on the computer and showed it to the manager. Instead of owning the mistake, the manager got irritated and put out, told us "it's going to be a while" (refused to give an estimated time) and then said the appointment alone would run $150. So we took a real risk driving out of our way on their word, only to be turned away once we got there... and the manager was annoyed at us when their own records proved we'd been told to come. If you're stranded and counting on them, look elsewhere. Rude and unprofessional.
