A turkey day miracle story...it's Thanksgiving eve and we got a nail through our tire. 6 hrs from home and 6 hrs to our destination. A travelers worst nightmare at 6pm. We were grateful to find a place open that could help get us back on the road. We knew we would be arriving via tow with a small window before they closed and they waited around to help us. They had our tire changed in no time like a professional pit crew! Without their help, we surely would have been stranded and missed our Thanksgiving with family. I will be filing an ice complaint against the "Boss" man the moment I get a chance on 11/20/2022. I am 28 weeks pregnant for other women who have had children and who are currently pregnant you understand how emotional stressful situations can be so let me explain how disgusting and disrespectful the "Boss" was during my experience. My husband and I are leaving very soon so I went in to get an oil change and break pads done. The man who I spoke with when I walked in said they don't just change the break pads but he still would get me an estimate on the breaks and oil. I waited for more than an hour and a half possibly 2 hours and a half JUST for an estimate. I spoke to another young man and asked him how much longer it would be and he was very respectful and understanding when I had asked him. I also asked him if I was still waiting for an Estimateand he said that is correct. He let me know the breaks weren't bad that they were a 6 overall. Whatever that means, and let me just say when I walked in I let the man I spoke to know I knew absolutely nothing about vehicles. Then the "Boss" which I might add after the whole situation i messaged someone who used to work there and he told me a little bit about him and none of which happened to be very pleasant. The boss calls me up as "Phillip". At first the other men and I were kind of looked around to see who that was and who was next. Then he proceeded to say F-150 and I asked him if it was the one lifted in the shop and he said yes. I let him know politely that the name was incorrect and he asked for my last name. He then showed me the estimate which was for the Front breaks $569 and for the back $559 and for the total including the oil change $1,345. Now as I stated from the very beginning I know absolutely nothing about vehicles so I told the man I was going to call my husband before making a decision on proceeding. I had walked out, called my husband and told him about the estimate and he said no. I walk back in and told the man that my husband would just come back himself or he would just go get an estimate else where. The boss, then said they already started working on the oil. I'm sorry? what. I was told by him and the other gentleman that I was waiting for the ESTIMATE the entire time that I was there and by my understanding waiting for the estimate is letting the customer know what the outcoming price is and before touching anything getting their permission to see if that is okay with them or not. Regardless if I didn't want the breaks done, don't touch anything unless they say that it's okay. I asked him why he chose to do so and I am not kidding when I say how nasty he immediately got with me With his responses. I was taken back a little bit and was telling him that maybe he should calm down, explain and educate me on what he was trying to get me to understand instead of getting so defensive and disgusting for absolutely no reason with me, I was trying to tell him that him and the other gentleman told me I was waiting for an estimate but clearly to him that meant start working on the vehicle immediately which to me wasn't okay. He then said he would give me the truck keys WITHOUT oil!! Again I was like you are out of your mind and after standing there arguing with him in front of other men and feeling so embarrassed and humiliated because I still had not said anything disrespectful to him I just was kind of like what is happening right now, like is this really happening. I am pregnant, stressing out, shaking and being talked down to like I am a huge idiot because I don't know anything. He then hands me my truck keys without saying they were done with the oil and I lose my cool, start crying and I walk out of the building. I called my father who is another mechanic and asked if he could come talk to the man and see what the whole issue was. But this is because I was unaware they pulled the truck up into the parking lot across the street From The shop. My father walked in and asked him what was going on and he said he gave me a free oil change. Of course I was like I wasn't trying to rob anybody from a damn oil change but he said they pulled the truck up already so my father and I just chose to leave it at that and walk out. I sat in the truck for 30 minutes in tears because of how horrible of an experience I had with them and how embarrassed I was that the other men in the shop basically got a free show because we argued for a little bit before I finally left crying. I will never come back to Firestone In junction city again And I'm sure that losing a customer means crap and they could care less that I will not be returning but that was absolutely ridiculous And I hope no one else has to deal with such an awful attitude the way that I did. read more

On the way from Kansas City to Colorado, we had a overheating issue. I must say Firestone would not have been my first choice based on previous experiences at my local one. However this Firestone was great! On a SATURDAY they took care of my vehicle issues and got us on the way. While we were waiting, they welcomed my dogs to wait in the waiting area with us, this was very helpful- it was a hot day. Thanks for being a good business! read more

Same experience as previous reviewers . Poor attention to details. Lack of customer service skills. Treating customers harshly. Treat others like you would want to be treated is a good rule. I don't need to email with details. Those are them. And it seems that others before me have expressed the same issues but nothing has improved. read more

I called and set up an appointment well over a week in advance and had them confirm the appointment date and time when I called. I set up the appointment for tie rod and ball joint inspection and to get an alignment done since I already knew that the tie rods were needing replaced and an alignment would be needed and I already had the lifetime alignment plan for my truck. Get to the store to check in for my appointment time at 9:00 a.m. yesterday and they didn't have me in their appointment system. Fast forward to today, over 30 hours of them having my truck, called to check on the status and they said they completed the inspection yesterday and that they were waiting for me to approve repairs. No one called me yesterday or today to say that the inspection was completed and what repairs were suggested. It took me calling them to check on the status, for things to get moving forward. This isn't the first time having an appointment issue either. My suggestion is to go in there and babysit them setting up your appointment so that there is no excuse for this. Also call them if you feel an unreasonable amount of time has passed for what work is to be done. My final suggestion is to find somewhere else to do business. The service and staff here used to be great, until the last couple of years. After this debacle, it's highly unlikely that I'll be going back there anytime soon. read more

I've been using Firestone for years and haven't really had an issue. Last year I took my Yaris in because it was making a loud screeching sound when I would start it. I figured it was a belt or something was wrong with the pulleys. The first time I brought it in they changed the belt. I spent 150 bucks for the problem to persist the next day. I brought it back in and they said they would keep it over night. The next day I came to get it and they said they couldn't figure it out. I will not go there again as a result of their incompetence. read more

I was on a long distance trip and my truck broke down on I-70 in Junction City. I called AAA and they had me towed to Firestone. I explained to them that the engine clunked and then shut off and wouldn't start back up. They called me the next day and told me that it was just a loose battery cable. I asked why that would make the engine clunk and he responded "I don't know but that's all it was." When I went to pick it up I asked the guy checking me out about it only being a battery cable and he said he had no idea what had been done to my vehicle but the technician who had worked on it was a master technician who had been there for 26 years so he was sure whatever he had done to it was correct. When I looked at the notes it said that the battery cable "needs" tightened but did not say that it was. When I asked the guy checking me out if it had actually been tightened he said "I don't know but probably." I made him go back and ask the technician, which he said he did, to confirm The work has actually been done. I paid and left. I only made it about 5 blocks away when it did the exact same thing. I paid AAA to tow me to a different location. When I went back to get a refund I asked for the manager. The same guy who had checked me out (Sean), and clearly had no idea about my vehicle or what had been done to it, told me that he was the manager. He tried giving me a partial refund and when I asked what the remaining money had gone to he again told me he didn't know. I asked him how he was the manager if he didn't know what I was being charged for. He replied " I don't know, service fees and stuff." He then told me it didn't matter what it was for. I made him pull up my charges and show me what all I had been charged for and it turned out that the remaining balance was taxes. We argued over it and he finally refunded me the remaining balance. This guy was either stupid or playing stupid because he didn't want to deal with a customer or give me a refund. Either way, he shouldn't be an employee let alone the manager. Terrible all around service at this location and they charged me over $100, basically to keep my vehicle overnight and not do anything to it. read more

I was driving down this lonely stretch of I-70 when I came across a guy stranded with no spare tire. We pulled in at 6:30 knowing that they close in 30 minutes and could likely do nothing, but we were hoping they could point us in the right direction. These guys were so great. They waited for us to drive down to get the rim, and then let us back in the store after close, and never once made me feel like they had better things to be doing with their night. Me and my family are on a cross country trip from California.  We are headed towards home from leaving Ohio. Yesterday evening we were pulled off in Chapman Kansas to let the kids potty and stretch when my husband decided to check all the tires on our truck and travel trailer. He noticed a large bald patch with material starting to show on one of our trailer tires. He said it could have been bad and may have even caused us a blowout had we not seen it. So i grabbed my phone and Googled a tire shop. Your Firestone location in Junction City came up, which was 11 miles from where we were. I called and spoke to Nicole, the manager at the store. She said they would be closing in less than 10 minutes but to come down and she would take care if us! We got our twins back in their car seats and drove straight to the shop. When we pulled up it was a little after their closing time but both Nicole and Dylan(the awesome technician) were waiting for us! They got the tire changed and us back on the road within minutes! For this being our first big adventure this far from home we are truly grateful for the help of your awesome employees Nicole and Dylan! Thank you again Nicole for your outstanding customer service!! Took my vehicle in to get an ABS light removed. Went to pick it up an hour or so later they said they test drove it and it was good. As soon as I left the parking lot my ABS light came back on , my brakes weren't catching & my car had a "engine power reducing " notification pop up and pretty much shut my car down. Came in on Monday for a tire rotation, balance and alignment, and was told that they were booked. Normally I wait but decided to make an appointment for today Friday. Done, set in stone. Called later ONLY to ask how much to replace a CV axel. Well they took it soon themselves to replace my appointment for the original service to the CV replacement. Well it's Friday and come to find out they changed my appointment to the CV axel which requires only a regular tech from the other one which requires a special tech. Was then told she (the manager) changed it back and it would only be 1.5hrs. I came in early, walked around town, ate, came back and my car is still sitting outside untouched. If I could put zero stars I would. HORRIBLE service, takes me complaining to get them to work on my car. If I didn't have the lifetime alignment I wouldn't come here. And as I sit here typing the manager is telling another costumer that his will be a little longer because of my car(in a nice way) but I can read between the lines. Great job! Waiting to get the corporate office on the line. Which is automated. Seriously what do we have to do to talk to a real person that can actually help!? read more
