Great for a conversation piece to bring up at any cocktail hour. We booked the oyster tour as part of a bachelorette party. We came prepared with sneakers and hat. Dave and Ben greeted us at the entrance as we drove in. It was our private and another couple. It was very informative tour as they discussed the species of oysters found in different parts and took us through the algae growing greenhouse and oyster spawning area and discussed how they select oysters. Then they took us to the waterfront where they showed the process of farming the oysters in "bags" or large metal baskets and then eventually sort them. Afterwards Ben shucked lots of oysters for us and paired it with different local wines and sauces for the oysters. Delicious! There was also non-alcoholic beverages available too. Everything was very picturesque and great for photos with the dock and the waterfront. Ben and Dave were so friendly and great at making the whole tour entertaining and educational and answered all our questions. We also left with a goody bag :) Thanks so much for an awesome time!

The bartender knew everything about the wines we sampled, and about the history of the Harbes family farm. After enjoying the wine, we headed out to pet the farm animals. Harbes Family Farm is exactly as described, there's a farm to feed animals, a stand to shop for fresh veggies as well as unique ice cream flavors. My favorite was the Apple Cider Doughnut Ice Cream. Soooooo good! I also had to try the corn ice cream. I mean, I love local corn from our Long Island. If they can make vodka from Long Island potatoes, corn ice cream isn't a big stretch. There were some very fun tables, with jewelry, perfume, and crafts, also a bookstore and a tee shirt stand. The "metaphysical" bookstore was adorable, with a fun "Blind Date with a Book" selection. There were some oracle cards and a couple of decks of tarot cards. As someone who has been to many metaphysical bookstores, and owns a decent collection of books, I wouldn't say that this store qualifies. But it's fun, and the proprietor was wearing a witch hat. I think that it was appropriate for the venue. Not for serious searchers. I browsed all the booths. There was the usual selection of stone bead bracelets. These used to be $5-7, but are now $28. H'mmm. There were craft booths, and a chain bracelet/ankle bracelet/necklace that were finished as you sat. The chains (sterling, gold, or other) were very, very, very thin and quite expensive. The people running the booths were generally very friendly. There were a couple of exceptions. The perfume lady did not have prices posted, and ignored the woman next to me, who asked for the price three times before she and her daughter left without buying anything. They had picked out two fragrances each. The perfumes were beautifully packaged, but the two that I tried on sample paper seemed to lack the notes referenced on the cards. The tee shirt guy didn't greet anyone who walked in. This was my first "fall festival" experience. While the venue is beautiful, and the vendors varied, I found the available merchandise to be extremely overpriced IMO. Granted, tariffs, inflation, etc, but prices were very high for what was offered. There were also gorgeous candles and soaps. Beautiful, and would be very nice for gifts, but IMO quite expensive for what they were. Very nicely packaged, which definitely contributed to the cost. Maybe it's just me. I had a reseller license in CO, and plan to get one in NY to sell my jewelry. So I know what stones, packaging, etc, cost wholesale. To be fair, though, that was pre-tariff.
