Saw a super tall young farmer like 6'7" hop out of his pick up to do something by the stand then zip back to the field. hahaha. Farmers are all so cool. Young ones even nicer to see. When we entered the air conditioned space, we were warmly greeted by Lauren. The aesthetically pleasing inside has seating and cute wine themed trinkets for sale. We chose to sit outside on the patio and joined other couples already there. Eli came over and took out wine flights and charcuterie board order. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We sipped and ate our bites while listening to the eclectic playlist streaming over the speakers. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The wine boutique is a hidden gem where you can enjoy flights and bites. We look forward to our next outing here where we'll visit the nursery. And definitely, definitely....more wine!

BUT---the woman at the check-out counter was very rude and couldn't figure out how to ring up our purchases. She yelled at my husband because she didn't like the way he placed our bags of potatoes on the counter. Her blue nails were so long that it took her forever to use the register. Entrance was $4 per person, but you the first $4 worth of peaches back. And it was only $2/Lb thereafter. A bargain. Even with the loss of much fruit and some trees from the storm, we were able to find about 80 pounds of peaches after an hour. Most needed a few more days to soften. But, some of us enjoy their tartness and crunchiness anyway. And despite having large sections of the farm roped off, due to fallen trees, there was plenty of space for our family to roam without bumping into other people. There was also a stand selling grilled corn. And, there were plenty of portopotties, with anti bac available. Our family had a nice time and took home enough peaches to spread around a few families. And it was a bargain compared to other farms we've been to. Sweet! Made the hour drive from Queens worth it.

Delalio or Delaio? Two huge sod farms with vast acreage are on the east end and their names are…read morealmost identical. Both have gorgeous acres of sod ready to create an instant perfect lawn. I've only used Delalio so far over the years so just rating Delalio on Edwards Ave. in Calverton. King of the Sod Farms on Long Island they can handle any order with 24-48 hour notice. There are bigger sod farms but not better. Builder / Contractor/ Property management pricing so may need to have your contractor, home improvement person or property manager set up or access an account. Half the price of Home Depot. A roll of sod will run you 4.5 not $9. So for full lawns or even partial it's the best grass you can have instantly and for half the price. Delivery is available for a slight bump on price or have your pro pick it up. They have huge farms on the east ends North Fork. Calverton is their main Farm. Not sure of their policy on the public buying grass seed in Calverton but they have the best sun and shade combo also. Grass seed is top notch so expect to pay a bit more. It will grow amazing sod like grass. Needs to have over at least an inch or ideally two inches of soft topsoil. They have an office in Deer Park to handle big orders. For pick up or delivery from either location. East end or western Suffolk They take a year and a half for grass to be cut. Others rip sod up in a year and some use horrible plastic that will be hard to get up. Not here. The next time you need perfect grass for something have your contractor order from here. It's top notch. No weird plastic as another bigger company is using. This is the best looking grass and will live on forever if planted properly.
