Also, they sell honey where you check in. I love seeing all the animals up close and personal. It was hilarious watching them rushing toward us when they saw the seeds bag. I have to warn you, this farm is huge. It's easy to get lost. For example, one of my friends was distracted. Thus, she was separated from us. We were lucky that we had our cellphones. We found each other.

We found ourselves in between tall weeds trying to pick some berries. It seemed as though there were not as many strawberries to be picked either. I hope these are just growing pains and will be cleaned up and expanded for next year. The swings on the tree and the little market were kept nice. I also loved the addition of the chairs and tables outside.

Mid season, the familiar faces were gone and so did the great service and produce. My gripe is with their cases of tomatoes. For years we were able to adjust boxes (meaning swap out bad tomatoes) or "top off" the case. This year however, there was a $5 upcharge (anytime they felt like charging it, depending on who was working that day) which is fine because I get it, prices change but be consistent. Also the case is "as is" which means I now have to wonder how many rotten tomatoes I'm gifted with. Only to be told quite rudely "if you don't like it, don't buy it" Where are the sisters who ran this farm exceptionally?? So disappointing. Do yourself a favor and drive a bit up in either direction to Latham's or Farmer Joe on Albertson.

I hope that I am not bombarded with emails, since you are forced to supply an email address. The grounds are beautiful. You can walk among some hops. There were also two food trucks, and a bar. I wasn't hungry, but the menus did sound great! There was a live band that was pretty good, and plenty of seating. The admission charge was $5. The market ran from 5-9 pm. I signed up for a tarot card reading, but alas it was VERY popular. It was a 3-card reading for $25. Readings took about 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, by the time that I wanted to leave (before it got dark), he was still on the first page. So I crossed out my name. There were some very fun tables, with jewelry, perfume, and crafts, also a bookstore and a tee shirt stand. The "metaphysical" bookstore was adorable, with a fun "Blind Date with a Book" selection. There were some oracle cards and a couple of decks of tarot cards. As someone who has been to many metaphysical bookstores, and owns a decent collection of books, I wouldn't say that this store qualifies. But it's fun, and the proprietor was wearing a witch hat. I think that it was appropriate for the venue. Not for serious searchers. I browsed all the booths. There was the usual selection of stone bead bracelets. These used to be $5-7, but are now $28. H'mmm. There were craft booths, and a chain bracelet/ankle bracelet/necklace that were finished as you sat. The chains (sterling, gold, or other) were very, very, very thin and quite expensive. The people running the booths were generally very friendly. There were a couple of exceptions. The perfume lady did not have prices posted, and ignored the woman next to me, who asked for the price three times before she and her daughter left without buying anything. They had picked out two fragrances each. The perfumes were beautifully packaged, but the two that I tried on sample paper seemed to lack the notes referenced on the cards. The tee shirt guy didn't greet anyone who walked in. This was my first "fall festival" experience. While the venue is beautiful, and the vendors varied, I found the available merchandise to be extremely overpriced IMO. Granted, tariffs, inflation, etc, but prices were very high for what was offered. There were also gorgeous candles and soaps. Beautiful, and would be very nice for gifts, but IMO quite expensive for what they were. Very nicely packaged, which definitely contributed to the cost. Maybe it's just me. I had a reseller license in CO, and plan to get one in NY to sell my jewelry. So I know what stones, packaging, etc, cost wholesale. To be fair, though, that was pre-tariff. Anyway, it was a pleasant hour. I'm sorry that I wasn't hungry, because the food truck offerings were probably delicious.

It includes admission and all the activities inside except the gem mining and rock climbing which costs extra. Upon walking in, you see the little shop and grill for food with a covered bar and food truck further down. My friends and I went to the restrooms first which are portably pottys behind the food truck. Then, we visited the animals. They have llamas, sheeps, goats, rabbits and highland cows!!! I don't think I've been one before so it was fascinating to watch them. Although be careful of their horns as they are not the most friendly. While walking to the pumpkin patch which there's not much left probably because it's the end of the season, we passed by activities like football throwing through tires, walking in a rolling tube, and playground with slides with monkey bars. Took some pictures at the pumpkin patch with my friends before we headed into the corn maze. It is definitely easy to get lost in there even for someone like me who is good with directions. Fortunately, they have a QR code for you to scan for the virtual map. After the corn maze, we rode the small racing karts a few laps, swung ferret balls at minions displays, shot some basketball hoops, ankered water for ducky races, and threw bean bags into holes. My favorite activity of all was the food and drinks! It was a very cold day and all my friends got hot cider or hot chocolate from the bar. I got the cider flight which surprisingly ALL tasted very good - regular apple flavor, pumpkin flavor, and black cherry flavor. These are the flavors available on tap, but they have other cider flavors in cans also such as blood orange! We ordered from Dusty's the food truck. My friend and my boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich which was good but I dont really like hamburger buns nor barbeque flavor. The pulled pork could've been more shredded. It came with pickles and cole slaw sides which I'm allergic to. Another friend ordered a pastrami sandwich which came on a panini bread and she said it was good. And another friend ordered chicken tender and fries which was not your average chicken tenders and fries. It was crispy without being too dry and seasoned well. I stole a fry to try! I ordered the dry rub chicken wings which took awhile but it was worth it. Seasoned with old bay flavor it was just what I needed. Their "cook tomorrow" chickens were slaughtered same day, so recommend to eat at least 24hrs later. Well, we ate them same day. Not too though and very tasty (they were smaller birds).
