But Dr. Cynthia Mack at DeWitt PT was so effective helping me recover fully from a broken foot that I asked if she could help with my sacroileac/sciatic pain. She taught me simple exercises to do myself that solved the problem. I realize that this sounds too good to be true, but it is. Anyway, I decided to then tackle a decades-old problem of stiffness, pain, and limited mobility in my neck and shoulders due to a yoga injury. I've been working with Sara for five months to treat a birth injury. After the birth of my second…read morechild, I was really sad to learn that I had a grade 2 prolapse. My OB-GYN gave me a couple of referrals for pelvic floor physical therapists, but she said that Sara was the best around. After five months of physical therapy, my symptoms are almost completely resolved, and I'm so glad that I've been able to work with her. I started seeing Sara when I was two months post-partum. In our 7 sessions together, she's helped me address key postural changes, pelvic floor exercises, and other strengthening exercises. Sara is an upbeat, positive person, and I leave our sessions feeling energized and optimistic. She's easy to understand and a great listener. She listens carefully to my goals and concerns. Best of all, she's helped me integrate movement and exercise into my daily life of caring for a toddler and a baby. I honestly think that I'm in better shape for having had the prolapse because of my sessions with Sara. My Achilles tendon had shortened and the range of motion was at barely 30% with constant swelling and lymphatic edema. Aunika offered immediate manual therapy with specific home exercises to address these issues. Andrew has worked wonders with his deep tissue release and joint mobilization. Today, at the end of the session with Andrew, I actual saw venous flow moving into the top of my foot for the first time since the surgery. Too bad no one from Precision seems to read the complaints and resolve them. I will never go back to Precision in Scotts Valley. I will be calling my health insurance to ask them to intervene in my being overcharged.

Christopher has done body work and manipulations to help with my neck and back and gave me exercises to help with a shoulder injury caused by surfing. Adriana did an extremely thorough assessment in order to identify the source of my knee pain, and gave me exercises to address muscle issues in my feet, glutes and hips to correct the "mechanical issues" causing pain in my knees. Each and every question was answered easily and I found myself able to relax and just focus on healing from the minute I walked in the door. Chris Vafiades was my therapist and he knows his stuff. He has a gentle way of guiding you through exercises and stretches and he took the time to sit and talk with me about my specific injury and pain level. I've never experienced that type of focus and dedication from any other medical professional and I work at a hospital! Chris allowed me to push myself when I could and go easy when I felt I needed to hold back. I consider myself a massage therapist expert, and Erin is the best one I have ever had. Period…read more I am a long-distance runner who runs an insane amount of miles a year. I average 5-6 marathon races a year plus a couple of ultras. Of course, that takes a toll and I need my "fix" every now and then. I had seen dozens of therapists before I came across Erin in Los Gatos 3 years ago and I became hooked to her massage. She takes the time to listen and understand what's wrong, and then she works her magic. She's the only therapist that has been able to work on some of my issues around the psoas muscle or hip flexors. During the sessions, not only she works on problematic areas, but also helps train stretches and movements that can help if continued at home. The only downside of her becoming so popular when she was in the Los Gatos studio was that it soon became very hard to get an appointment with her given how busy she was. I am happy to see that she has now started her own practice and I don't mind driving 30 minutes to get my favorite massage. I am sure she will become highly popular as soon as more people in Santa Cruz find out about her. It will make my scheduling a bit more tricky, but I am more than happy to pay that price.
