During her stay, she lost a considerable amount of weight, and although her surgical wound had healed, she developed bed sores on the bottoms of her feet and lower back that were not properly communicated to us (the family.) We witnessed isolation, rough handling, poor hygiene, poor communication, and lack of compassion. The food was poor, and staff often took a very long time to respond, sometimes hours. She was also frequently in a very deep sleep during the day, which raised concerns about possible overmedication. Her clothes went missing, staff would turn off her cell phone, and with her TV not working, she was left even more isolated. Vulnerable patients deserve dignity, attentive care, hygiene, and transparency with family. That was not our experience. Sally

Then in early 2024, I needed hip replacement surgery. My wife has dementia, so I hired CFTH to take care of my wife, expecting to be able to come back home after 4 days in a skilled nursing facility. I had major setbacks and spent 2 full months in the hospital. Thankfully, I returned home to a wife that had been extraordinarily well cared for during my unexpected absence. At that point, I also needed a lot of care. It's two years later, and the team from CFTH is still taking excellent care of my wife and me. I am very grateful for Jackie and her team.

It proved to be very difficult giving myself these shots. My daughter suggested I find an at-home nursing service that could help give me the shots. Fortunately, I discovered Care From the Heart, and Nurse Jackie. She was available on very short notice to come to my home and help. What a relief. From her first visit she was professional, caring, sympathetic, and efficient. She came everyday to administer my shot, in the arm and leg. She was very good and administered my daily shots almost painlessly. Such a relief. I would recommend Care from the Heart for any in-home nursing needs.

They don't give meds properly or in a timely manner they falsify MAR's they give insulin without even checking blood sugars on patients that are diabetic! She was trained by different people and not one of them trained her the same! There is no consistency amongst the nurses at this facility They claim they give their patients meds and they don't! My colleague was let go because she questioned these practices! She has been a RN for 40 plus years and has never seen a facility ran as poorly as this one! Do Not send your loved ones here even if it's the last place on this earth! She has turned them into the State Board for unprofessionalism and falsified documentation! So unfortunately a very good nurse was let go because she refused to follow their guidelines of poor practice!

In addition to feeling good about their care--it's a nice place to be, it really does have an at-home family feel. After my first visit I had some tears in my eyes on my way out and I could see a lot of care in the faces of everyone I passed who worked there, which was really nice to experience as I feel a lot of care facilities I've visited lack that down-to-earth humanitarian feel.
