While I absolutely LOVE my therapists and the care and treatment plans, so that I can continue at home, I've received - I am very frustrated with the admin staff - my appts have repeatedly been messed up. I've called for weeks now to reschedule and have not received a call back. My injury has worsened and my pain levels increased. I WISH there was a way I could call my PT directly as she was absolutely fantastic. read more

I see this is a reoccurring theme based on past reviews... they make it very difficult/impossible to make an appointment. They don't answer the phone and they don't return calls. Seems like they don't want any more business and new clients should go elsewhere. We will be going elsewhere. Total waste of time. If Alliance wants new clients they need a better system. Stop making people chase you! Especially when clients are injured and in pain, you could save us the wasted time and we could have moved onto another responsive business and get treatment sooner. read more

I had the strangest and most astounding experience here trying to make an appointment a few months back. I work with many doctors offices due to medical conditions and so when I called and pre-apologized that I didn't have a lot of availability, but that I'd love to book a whole plethora of appointments for both myself and my husband I love to if they could bare with me! The woman who returned my call *three days after I left an initial message* said they did not have any appointments for three weeks and that I would need an authorization from my doctor. I told her I had one ready from Stanford and could fax the one from my husbands doctor that same day as well. All of a sudden she said that they actually had a four openings that just came up that week and actually had a few openings each of the following weeks. Ok, surprising, but we'll take it! I told her that I would call her right back after I got her fax number to ensure that both doctors offices faxed them over. I called 10 minutes later (I think less, but we'll round it to 10) and I wanted to make sure that they got them so I could snag the appointments. She told me that they no longer had any appointments that week. "You filled all the appointments this week in the last ten minutes?" I asked. "yes" she said. Ok. Well can we book the appointments that were open the next week? "They are full". Wait, what? I asked if she was full the week after that and she said "yes, we are full for the next month". "You mean to tell me that you booked every single opening that you had for the next month in the last ten minutes, when you just finished telling me that there wouldn't be a problem. Her answer? "Yes". I don't think I have ever stared at the phone as stunned like I did. I seriously meant to call the owner the following week and tell him what happened (I own a business myself and would be horrified if someone treated someone who wanted to book up to 15 appointments with my company). I truly do not know what happened as I tried to be as thorough as possible and try supporting local! Oh well, been attending DeWitt Physical Therapy for the past 3 months and super happy with both their PTs and especially front office staff! read more

I have been going to Alliance PT for the last few weeks due to severe pain in my shoulder. My shoulder was in such agony with even the slightest movement. I was referred by my orthopedic surgeon in hopes this treatment would help and surgery would not be needed after all. What a difference in such a short time! I can move my arm and have almost full mobility all without any pin! The whole team at Alliance Physical Therapy were professional and very attentive. I have to thank EVERYONE at Alliance for working with me week after week. No one ever wants to have to go to physical therapy. That means we have been injured. Recovery is a long, hard road. I am a walking disaster and have injured myself constantly over the last many years. I've always gone to Alliance. I NEVER want to go anywhere else. I went there pre-Covid and now in this Covid world. I honestly like it better now. I liked it then, but I love it now. The manager, Chrissy, is PHENOMENAL and never makes me feel bad about asking questions. She's friendly, kind, supportive, and makes me feel like she is there for just me (I know I'm not her only patient, but she makes me feel like I am). The owner, Jenna, is also AMAZING. She's understanding, professional, and also a great singer. My personal PT is Camie. Camie is unreal. She really listens to me. I've injured myself in multiple ways since I started seeing her for my back. She always works around my injuries in a way to let me heal while focusing on what I can do at that moment. She's personable, friendly, funny, SO KIND, and the most important thing to me is that she REALLY listens to me. I adore her. My initial introduction (this time... I've been there a lot), was Amelia. She was so kind and I was so nervous to be there. She offered up great advice, spoke to me like a human should and even offered to let me borrow one of her books on nutrition. This review has been on my list for a while, and I am glad I am finally writing it. I had physical therapy here for my neck for 3 to 4 months, 2 sometimes 3 times a week. My experience with their staff and treatment plan was wonderful. I went from almost no mobility in my neck, making it difficult to drive, to almost complete range of motion again. My treatment consisted of heat pad in the beginning to warm the muscles up, sometimes massage if needed, then exercises, and cool down. My exercises started off with just a few stretches, and with each visit they saw how I was doing and either increased reps, or changed my exercises, or added new ones to the routine. They gave me the needed equipment to do the exercises at home between visits. They also did a wonderful job of accommodating my right arm in the exercises, which has multiple long term problems from a workman's comp injury in 2004. I have done lots of physical therapy in my life time, from knees, back, right arm, and now my neck. I have seen many different therapists, been to many different offices, and environments. Some of them have been wonderful, and some not so much. This office is at the TOP in the quality of the therapists, receptionist, office space and environment. If I need physical therapy again, this is were I will be going. Thank you to everyone at Alliance Physical Therapy for being so great, and making recovery so wonderful. If you need physical therapy this is the place to go. Remember doing your exercises regularly and consistence at home makes a world of difference in your recovery. When I first found out that my insurance would only cover me for this place (I live in SC) I was a bit upset because I was going for my Achilles tendon, and driving was uncomfortable. But, once I started going, that totally changed. The staff here are absolutely amazing. They were extremely helpful and they listened to me. They pushed me to some limits, but in a very good way. They taught me a lot of stuff I can do at home to keep up now that I am done. Leaving there on my last day felt a little like leaving family. I cannot recommend them highly enough! And Zoe, the owner's dog, is a wonderful therapy dog. A few times she came up and lay next to me on the table when I was getting a particularly painful massage and it made a world of difference. I love them and though I hope to not injure myself again, if I do, I would gladly go back there. read more

Don't waste yore time! 2 times we went here 1st visit took almost an hour for 15 min appointment that wasn't even what we were there for. 2nd appointment (Drove 1/2 hour each way to get there 2 and from) confirmed with receptionist the day before, get there and they " can't help us til 1:30. I was in a car accident last October and broke both legs. I was in a wheelchair for months. I have never had a broken bone, other than a finger. The experience was traumatic and I was very scared about the future, and how I would get "back to normal". I really did not feel like I was actually getting better until I came to Alliance PT. I was nervous to start, but they made me feel so comfortable because the staff is so caring and kind. The receptionists are sweet, the physical therapy aides are awesome and you can really tell they care about their jobs. As for the physical therapists...they are so passionate and incredible at helping people get better that you just feel like you're in the best hands. I love this place. It's fun to be there, and it gives me a rejuvenated feeling when I leave. It's been over a month and I have made A LOT of progress. I CAN WALK! I suffered a bad ankle sprain at work, on the ankle that had a serious surgical complication in the past (CRPS aka RSD). The idea of pursuing workman's comp made me nervous, but I had two options, Kaiser or Alliance. No one even picked up the phone at Kaiser, so that made the choice easy. After reading the reviews here, I hesitated to pursue the claim. But everyone was friendly at Alliance and helpful. Sure, there was a bit of a wait, but not bad. The x-ray technician was kind, and sensitive to my pain. The doctor took my past history seriously so I felt validated. (The mostly seated/elevated foot work restriction my company was not able to accommodate so I was unable to come in to work for a week). I was fortunate to have Freddy Sanchez for a rehab specialist. While he was working out of 2 locations, and filling in, he was worth waiting for. I was so grateful he was aware of the nerve disorder I have. And of the many PTs I have seen over the years, he was the first to discover I have a vestibular dysfunction. I spent a lot of money with a neurologist to learn the same thing, but Freddy saw that in 5 minutes. What he lacked in advanced PT degrees, he more than made up for in experience. He is very knowledgeable and as a past athletic trainer with the 49rs and pro women's soccer team, he is familiar with the mentality of athletes who want to get back in the game before they are ready. Sprained ankles are such a common occurrence, but can give you problems for life if not treated seriously, and I'm glad Freddy did. I was determined to follow the exercise protocol, because if he was that concerned over my foot, then I would trust his judgement. I'm glad I did not rush the healing process. read more

The staff here are great! I started going there upon the recommendation of my doctor because I was having trouble walking. They gave me a lot of exercises to help me get better. This review is looong overdue. I was referred to Alliance Physical Therapy for some back pain that I was experiencing last year. The team was able to quickly diagnose the problem and they quickly put together a recovery program for me (with at home Homework as well). During my time at APT, I was able to work with most of the staff. They all bring a different flare to your sessions but they were all super fun and inviting to work with. They are one big happy family and I felt so at home picking up conversation most of the time where we left off during the previous session. I felt better with every session and looked forward to it every week! APT did wonders for my back and I can't thank them enough. They also gave me tips and tricks to incorporate into my daily routine to make sure my back pain doesn't come back. Their level of professionalism and care for their clients is something that everyone experiences whether it's your first session or your last. Alliance Physical Therapy has become my second home. If I'm not there for PT you'll likely find me next door taking one of their astounding yoga classes. I for once actually enjoy going to physical therapy. Everyone I work with at both the PT office and yoga studio are always on top of modifying things for me. I've learned a great deal on body mechanics and how to successfully apply this new found knowledge to everyday life. I'm showing great results in a very small amount of time considering my injury. Alliance has brought a lot of awareness into my life, both physically and mentally. The best part is... I can actually do yoga while recovering from a significant back injury! The yoga instructors are highly trained in working with those who are recovering from physical trauma. You have got to give the yoga studio a visit and see it with your own eyes. I didn't expect such an alluring and peaceful space to practice in, overlooking heaps of redwoods, it is BEAUTIFUL! I am grateful to have found this gem in Aptos. read more

The first one or two visits they will give you more attention, after that your sessions are more or less on autopilot as you're instructed to do different stretches or exercises while barely monitored. They often have half a dozen other patients in the office at the same time and the physical therapists will go around the room back and forth between them all, not putting complete one-on-attention with their patients. They also are kind of lazy when it comes to doing actual hands-on physical therapy like soft tissue work, adjustments/manipulations, ultrasound/muscle-stim, etc... you'll maybe have to 'ask them' to do it as they don't seem to want to go the extra mile. BUT, they accept low-income health insurance, so if you can't afford a better place, at least you can go to Alliance. read more

I felt stronger and more educated about how to move my body and improve my overall posture for injury prevention in the future. This place is more like a gym. The therapists constantly change and there's no continuity. They have strict 24 hour policy, which is unrealistic. I don't think there's alot of professionalism here. Really small facility too. read more

I feel so fortunate to have discovered Alliance Physical Therapy. By far the best experience I've ever had at a physical therapy office. They're responsive to phone calls for scheduling, and are super friendly and professional and always on time for my appointments. I've gone to them for 3 different issues (foot, back, knees), so a total of 36 sessions and actually look forward to my appointments. They're super thorough and spend a full hour with you each session, and they're attentive and incredibly knowledgeable. After seeing them, my foot pain decreased significantly for the first time in 3 years! Same with my lower back pain, and my knee pain. They take you through stretching, then exercises and give you a comprehensive, relevant series of home exercises, that evolve over time. There's beautiful local art on the walls that changes regularly and space has a really nice, holistic feel to it - not coldly clinical like some offices. I've had a particularly good experience with Tyler as my therapist - I highly recommend him! The receptionist is really friendly, and the aides are attentive. I feel SO fortunate that my insurance covers them and grateful that they've helped me greatly with some really frustrating, long-lasting chronic pain issues. I'm a fan! read more

Great place, Great people. My experience was great. Having issues with my feet. Went to my appts. Did the program they gave me, also did what I was asked at home. The individual attention and encouragement I recived was nice. I showed up with pain, left with strenght in my ankles, feet, legs. I now walk for an hour. They guided me I did the work. When I had any issues they addressed it. They listen and talk to you, not at you. Seen my doctor dont go back for a year. Before I visited this facility Was looking at operation. Much graditude! i had a bad experience the first time i came in i have back problems they called me and made an appointment when i showed up after a 45 min drive they told me i did not have an appointment.so i made another appointment.I didn't like that it is one big room no privacy with P.T. different P.T everytime.So the last time i was in i was hooked to a tens unit and was trying to relax and enjoy my therapy and the dog starts barking owner did nothing but another P.T told it to stop it didn't.the new paint job looks like a 6 year old did it horrible drips all over .The receptionist is a dingbat so ill end on a high note the music ROCKED!! read more
