Her holistic approach encompassed many areas that guided me through my healing journey and her empathetic patient style provided a safe space to experiment and find a plan that worked for my specific needs. I had my gaul bladder removed at the age of 38 because "it had quit functioning." I was first told back in 2005 that I "probably had leaky gut," a term I came to know long before most doctors ever heard of it. I went to a gastroenterologist with a full page of history, circumstances and symptoms, and was told it was all in my head and that I needed to just relax. Between the lack of support and my denial of the seriousness of the condition, I went on living another 20 years with the discomfort of (POSSIBLE TMI ALERT!!!) bloating, gas and diarrhea, but what really got my attention was the fact that one morning, the magnesium capsule I'd taken the night before made it all the way through my system and out to see the light of day, UNDIGESTED!!! Wow, I wasn't even digesting and metabolizing the foods I'm taking in. Eventually I was diagnosed with SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) and treated that condition. I'd had all the food sensitivities tests, and stool tests, saliva, test. I was trying to do my best but was really overwhelmed with so much information while at the same time a lack of direction and support. Then the 20 years of ignoring my prediabetes diagnosis kicked over into diabetes. OK, sh*t's getting real, I can't keep ignoring my health! Then one day Cordelia appeared in my Facebook thread, I sat in on her free introductory webinar and was very impressed with her knowledge and passion to help others heal themselves. I scheduled a 45 minute consultation with her which turned into double that. I knew that if I could follow Cordelia's guidance, I would see improvements. At least I could put it to the test because I had to do something. At the time, Cordelia offered a shorter group program focused on eliminating foods and reintroducing them (that's a very simplified description) OR a longer, one on one program that involved fasting protocols rather than the elimination. I chose the second option, which turned out to be such a better approach for me. And, since Cordelia is so awesome, she also threw in the other group option as well so I was able to benefit from that group's WhatsAp chats, and weekly Zoom classes. After 5 month of working with Cordelia, my symptoms have improved at least 80%, improvements equal to my efforts to follow the instructions. That % rate is just a number. It doesn't speak to all of the many take aways I got from Cordelia's coaching. Because Cordelia was always committed to meeting me where I was at in this process, she saw that I could benefit from coaching beyond dietary and supplement instructions. And she saw that I was willing to be vulnerable and really do the hard work. The one on one, 5 months of coaching by Cordelia taught me to: Trust the process...This is invaluable as I'm applying it to so many things in life. After eliminating the foods that were causing symptoms, and adding in several good supplements, with Cordelia's support, I found myself "stacking" one little hack on top of another, as many as I could each day and before I knew it, I was feeling better than I had ever felt in my entire life. And it was showing too because I was beginning to get compliments from friends. I was experiencing a success in my health and healing journey that I had never experienced before. A new bar had been set. For the first time ever, I was seeing results from my efforts, and seeing that I could do far more than I knew, thanks to the guidance and support of Cordelia. I appreciated what a great listener Cordelia was, always reflecting back to me, both verbally then followed up in writing a summary of each session. I was always impressed with Cordelia's organization of her coaching business. She was great at challenging me to set goals and then she'd follow up and hold me accountable with just the right amount of toughness and/or slack. Cordelia was the greatest cheerleader always recognizing every "win" and lavishing praise for the progress. Cordelia is continually furthering her education and learning the latest research available to help her help her clients heal themselves. Thanks to Cordelia's help, I have stepped back into my power, and am using my voice to advocate for myself. I have stopped being a people pleaser. I have cleaned up my sleep hygiene and am feeling more rested each day. Those "wins" all factor into healing my gut, and improving my digestion, but mostly, they have enriched my life immeasurably as I venture on into the best days of health and wholeness ahead. I will always carry the wisdom and experience of Cordelia with me in all my days. When we know better, we do better!

So, I went to different kinds of therapy for many years, learning new strategies and practicing mindfulness. I learned so much; I was able to come up with my own strategies that helped bring me toward balance. I found that I loved this process as I began to heal and enjoy my life. Maureen's therapy gets at the WHOLE picture, bringing the body into balance from the inside out. I've tried many alternative and conventional therapies over the years and I've gotten the best results from Maureen's therapy. After an unsuccessful brain surgery, bad reactions to countless prescription drugs & many limiting food allergies. Maureen's caring listening ear and insight into the complex inner workings of the human body is helping me make the changes I need to be back to health. Many times when I was at my worst points towards the last 2-3 years of the 15 year journey to wellness. Maureen kept telling me I had a leaky gut & I was in denial thinking it couldn't be the cause of such a serious medical problem like a brain tumor!! How could fixing my digestive tract health cure my pituitary brain tumor? But it is! I finally gave in when both my digestive & hormonal symptoms were limiting my enjoyment of life on a daily basis. I was no longer able to exercise with ease (I am very athletic), all of my body ached, I had multiple injuries, fatigue, mental fogginess & weight gain (among many other frustrating symptoms) from lack of proper vitamins and correct hormonal balance in my body. My life was affected negatively every day in my both my personal & professional life. I was depressed. I felt like my life force had been ripped out of me. My once vivacious and positive spirit was just hanging in there to make it through every day....wondering when and how I could ever feel healthy again. I'm not kidding- It was that bad! I had tried homeopathy, naturalistic, acupuncture, energy work & cranial sacral from some of the most well known practitioners in their field. My GP and specialist doctors never had even close to the knowledge of nutrition and in depth blood work results that Maureen did. When they told me my blood work was good, Maureen always had a different take on the blood work I had done and often was able to pick out some minute detail that clued her off that I was deficient in some nutrient or vitamin that the other doctors just weren't clue into. In this sense Maureen is an incredible valuable resource. When I started taking the supplements Maureen recommended me (based off blood work deficiencies she noticed) in conjunction with my other naturalistic medicine I started to notice a drastic change in my health and vitality. Maureen is helping me to rebuild my body and give it what it needs. She sees how everything is interconnected- rather than treating the symptoms, she gets to the route of the cause and offers me practical ways to fix it in a way that fits with my lifestyle. I am beyond grateful for what Maureen is guiding me through & I highly recommend her as the most talented, smart, trustworthy and intuitive health care worker you could find! Maureen has also been very supportive of combining her treatments with that of other therapies and offering advice as to which treatments would be helpful (if I am in doubt). I trust Maureen more than any health care practitioner I work with now, and I run everything buy her from my other doctors before I do it. She brought enthusiasm and a real sense of curiosity to our meetings. Maureen dons the inspector hat when exploring a client's issues - because that's what a good nutritional practitioner does! Maureen recently helped me investigate my food intake and led me through my first ever sugar detox & elimination diet. She was a constant & great coach, consistently supporting me and her other clients in the group. When I was having the toughest of days and wanted to quit Maureen stayed strong for me; she would challenge me in constructive ways to remember my goals and my 'why' behind what I was doing. I needed that support and it worked! I successfully completed the detox and learned so much about sugar intake and how that was affecting my gut, my skin, even my attitude and my energy levels! If Maureen doesn't know the answer to something she'll tell you that straight up then eagerly put in the time to research the answer and follow up with you. Maureen practices what she preaches in her own life and is so down to earth. She will empathize and does not take a directive or dogmatic approach to nutrition. Maureen will treat you as the unique, amazing individual you are; she will NOT cast judgement and she WILL actively care about helping you to reach your health goals. I highly recommend Maureen and Flourish to support you through your health journey!
