They don't take appointments and it feels like it's really unorganized and not ran very well. The greeter does not feel kind and it's so awkward to walk into a room and be ignored! I hope another company opens up soon over here because this one quite frankly sucks. There are other companies in San Jose that treat you like a queen when you walk in. They also have private rooms AND snacks, AND they take appointments!!!!! ( this place doesn't even answer the phone ) And the owner is so uneducated in marketing she moved her location, but then didn't mention it on the phone's outgoing message. When I called to ask if they were open, they also didn't mention that they had recently moved so when they moved, it took me about 30 minutes to find their new location. The first two times I lost weight and kept it off as long as I followed their program. My experience this time was not as good. Jillian was the PA at the Capitola location from the time I started in October 2020 until a few months ago. She was an outstanding clinician and very helpful to me, as we navigated the changes to my thyroid levels. Since she left, there has been a revolving door of qualified and not-so-qualified people at this location. My weight loss has stalled. The person I most recently met with, who didn't even have the courtesy to introduce herself, told me that the laws of thermodynamics were causing me to not lose weight. At that point I knew that there was no talking to her and no point in continuing this program. What impressed me about JumpstartMD initially was that it was based on science. "Thermodynamics" has no place in the science of weight loss, nor does someone who is under-educated and smug about it. I met with Dr. Sean Burke as well a few weeks ago and he also insisted that the problem is that I need to cut calories. Blame the victim. It seems to me this program has lost its way.
