Ever since Dr. Rios and Lindsey left this place has gone downhill. I feel like they just want to up-sale you every visit with something you don't need. Lindsey used to manage accounts thoughtfully and with your concerns in mind. Now the customer service is horrible. You feel like you are on the phone dumb and dumber with an attitude. You have to awkwardly sit in the same room with someone while getting an IV drip too. If you are going to offer IV services have nurses on hand that can do that effectively and quickly. read more

I went for my first B12 shot last week. I noticed a sign advertising B12 and was encouraged to purchase after seeing their Groupon. Of course I verified via yelp before purchasing! They offer $5 add-on's with B complex, Niacin, or other options. I opted to add Niacin. It was a super small needle and I felt that it was painless. The Dr. recommended to have the shots weekly for 4 weeks until the body's B vitamins are up to par. Then, come as needed. With the Group on for 4 sessions, this is a perfect match. I am excited to see how I feel after the 4th sesh. Tip: B12 Fridays are solid. From 3pm-6pm on Fridays they have a Happy Hour Special. read more

This office was bought by Dr Valencia and moved to Seascape. I've had amazing care and go regularly for vitamin shots. Dr Valencia found an issue all my other doctors had missed, and my health has improved greatly. She's also a warm and caring person who listens. This is a great place for the ones of us that don't fully believe in Western Medicine. Many times due to stress and mal absorbtion I ended up with B-12 vitamin deficiency. Here they offer this vitamin in injectable form which I was having a hard time finding in this area. They can also add other vitamins to your B-12 shot for an added boost. I tried the "mood" boost and truly felt great all day and all week to be honest. I am excited to come back and try their other homeopathic combos such as the "Skin Glow". After some conversations and recommendations on vitamins etc the final bill was $450!!! $150 new patient consultation (never asked for this or was told about this) which still leaves another $120 which was never explained. I visited thrive two months ago and was hoping for some help with my thyroid. I took a huge amount of labs and was told my thyroid was in horrible shape. She put me on thyroid nature pig thyroid and a lot of vitamins $650.00 dollars later I left with high hopes. Two weeks in I felt horrible so I called to see if this was indeed the right meds for me to be on ( strength) She said yes and to be tested in mid Jan. I decided to get tested towards the end of January even though she then suggested in the mid feb when I called in. Thank god I did as not only did this medicine hurt my thyroid even more it made me gain 20 pounds and I felt it. I suggest vitamins for this place but if you have a thyroid issue stick to a specialist who knows what thyroid is all about and how it affects your life. Dr. Carlos Rios is an amazing doctor. Recently I had COVID really bad and suffering from post covid syndrome for the last 5 months. His treatment plan has changed my life with all the vitamin shots + IV & peptide shots. He has also helped my with a treatment plan for an infectious disease that took about a year to get better. I went in for a consultation because I was (and am) experiencing digestive issues. I was diagnosed with Diagnosis A and told to purchase several supplements accordingly. Later in the week, I was able to receive a second opinion, and based on some blood, breath, etc. tests, Diagnosis A was cleared by the second practitioner (not at Thrive). I have been trying to contact Thrive about this, as two of the supplements prescribed could have had a very bad outcome if I had taken them. They have not answered any of my messages, through the website, email, or phone. The appointment cost ~$500 with the prescriptions. I was happy to pay it at the time but now that I know I was misdiagnosed it seems a gross mistake to have invested in Thrive. I will never recommend Thrive. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Dr. Rios and the staff at Thrive literally saved my life!!! (22F, no preexisting conditions) 2 years ago my mom passed away and it was very traumatic and unexpected. I saw my PCP and was put on a series of different antidepressants. After trying a sample pack of a new prescription drug, I woke up a few days into the treatment in EXTREME PAIN. My entire body was sore and I could not stand straight due to the stiffness in my legs. This ended up progressing to the point where I needed assistance bathing and had to use a cane due to constantly collapsing from the weakness in my body. My PCP said it "would go away on its own". I ended up visiting Dr. Rios for B12 Happy Hour (it's VERY easily accessible and affordable there!) after not being able to walk for 12 weeks. I did b12 shots weekly and noticed improvement, but I was still weak and in severe pain. Dr. Rios offers a FREE 15 minute consultation to anyone so I made an appointment and brought in a whole list of questions/concerns. He seemed concerned and asked for copies of my medical records to review. Dr. Rios reviewed my records for no additional cost and said he would contact me in a few days. I received a call from Dr. Rios later that week informing me of a treatment that could help me. He explained how certain prescription drugs could cause extra pyramidal symptoms and movement disorders! (Also guess what was one of the first severe side effects for Latuda? You guessed it! Movement Disorders!) At this point Dr. Rios had given me answers after 4 different doctors could not. He warned me that NAD is pricey and would take AT LEAST 10 sessions. He also did not charge me for any of this footwork he had done, besides my discounted happy hour b12 shot. On February 19th I paid $250 for 100mg of NAD to be infused into my blood via an IV Drip. I walked in that morning tired, exhausted and in intense pain. The girls up front, Clover and Alexa, immediately got me checked in and cozy in the IV lounge. You can choose to sit or stand and they have hot tea, water, heating packs, pillows and blankets! Dr. Rios got me hooked up and I started dripping. Some moments were uncomfortable but there was always someone to help me move around or even just chat with me! I knew the chances of seeing any improvement after 1 drip was slim and I most likely would not be running around anytime soon. But after that first treatment things improved significantly!!! Some milestones: Treatment #1 Stopped using a cane #2 Rode a bike #3 Go up 2 flights of stairs while carrying items #4 Drove a tractor all day and did work around the farm #7 Walk longer distances, return to work part time with accommodations #13 Able to jog short distances I have now done over 15 treatments and feel my body is almost back to its old state! Nov 2019 - March 2020 I could not walk or stand, could not bathe or even grip objects I now do all the cooking, cleaning and organizing in our household. I have begun to enjoy life again and enjoy going outdoors! I am becoming more comfortable in my body every single day and relearning how to balance, walk, run and be human! I highly recommend seeing what Dr. Rios could do for your health. I no longer see my old doctors and will be a very loyal patient to Dr. Rios for as long as possible! I have been going to Thrive for the past five years and I have been pretty happy with their service, as they have assisted me with my healing. Doctor Mazi is very kind, listens to ones concerns and goes above and beyond to meet your needs! However, on July 4th, I called to see if they were open so I could get my b12 shot. The message on the answering machine said the regular happy hour normal hours and on the website it said they were open. So I drove all the way from Santa Cruz, during traffic rush hour to find a sign on the door, saying they were closed. Today, I went back and the receptionist greeted me friendly, mentioning she had not seen me in a long time. I mentioned I had been there on the 4th and shared my experience, suggesting they could have changed the out going message letting patients know they were going to be closed. She replied by saying they had a sign on the door and moved on to the next patient. Her inability to apologize for the inconvenience, her laid back attitude and lack of professionalism to at least honor a customer's feed back and concerns is what turned me off! Sad to say this, but it's time for me to find a new clinic. read more

I had high hopes for Thrive. Didn't work out. Way too expensive and their approach and policies are too dogmatic. I can't recommend them.

I found the place frenetic, disorganized and extremely busy. It really worked more as a B12 body mill. On top of that, the naturopathic doctor visits were extremely expensive and the supplements pricey. The lab work is not recognized by most insurances. On top of that, after bleeding a lot of money on visits, supplements and lab tests, nothing really worked for me. read more

I went here at the request of my chiropractor, Dr. Griffin. I was hesitant as I didn't want to spend more money on my back issues. I am so glad I listened! The office is right off the freeway and easy to get to. The office staff is very friendly and directs you if you don't know what you are doing. Dr. Mazi is very down-to-earth and attentive. She recommended several supplements for my back and anti-inflammatories. The price was high, but I did it anyways. After weeks of using the supplements, my back pain went way down. With continued use, my back pain is next to nothing! I noticed that when I stop (or forget) to take them, I feel my back becoming inflamed again. Even my chiropractor was stunned by the great shape my back was in! I also saw Dr. Mazi for sleepless nights. She recommended Melatonin as well as a couple of other supplements and they have been amazing. I also saw her for an ear infection. She took the time to look into my ears (something the Dr-On-Duty doctor didn't do,) and explained to me that there was an infection and what I could do to fight it. Dr. Holly's demeanor and and approach towards health is gentle and effective. I've been going to see Dr. Juli Mazi for a series of B12 shots. At first I wasn't sure if the shots would help me, and I'm pleasantly surprised that I was wrong. I feel great, I no longer have fatigue in the morning, which probably is due to the B12 helping me get better sleep. I came here on a referral from an old friend who is a ND in Los Gatos. After reading reviews, I used my own judgement and started seeing Dr. Mazi. She has helped me with my low thyroid issues and adrenals, tremendously. I cant' recommend her enough.. She listens and understands and guides you to a better health.
