I have come here for a few different injurys I have had over the past couple years. One was and forearm muscle which I couldn't get to heal for months and after a few short weeks with Jessica the pain was reduced and I started to get stronger. The injury is completely healed now. Great service and clinical staff but ONE of the receptionist absolutely kills the experience for me. Difficult to understand, very rude, exasperates when you call to schedule an appointment, plays loud music in the lobby. absolutely terrible customer service skills. On the way to every appointment, I cringe and hope that said receptionist isn't working the front desk that day. Lest I wait in the lobby for my appointment to start while listening to spicegirls at volume 11 as she makes boomingly loud personal calls and ignores customers. The other older lady who plays Hawaiian music and remember's everyone's name when they walk in the door is stellar. I haven't seen her in a while and sincerely hope she still works there. I hate to be that person who complains but it really is that bad. read more

My Kaiser doctor referred me to Solis for neck pain, and other stress-related imbalances. Though I'm familiar with most wellness modalities, I was actually new to acupuncture, and even a tad nervous. Yet, from the moment I walked in, I was put at ease by the positive vibe and welcoming staff. The treatment itself was not only comfortable, but I felt very pampered. I was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases over a year and a half ago. I did not see taking medication for the rest of my life. So I starting educating myself and questioning our health care system. Which lead me to following my gut and dove into the integrated, intergative, functional medicine route because I wanted to get to the ROOT of my symptoms, not simply mask them. First time acupuncture, first time to People's. This used to be a day spa type place. So, last I was here I had my brow's down and it still looked nearly the same. They have you fill out an approx. 5 page survey with your health history. It is very thorough; but, feels a tad lengthy. Especially when you realize how many things are "wrong" with you. I bought the groupon for a consultation, 4 acupuncture and a massage. I made sure before checking yelp and People's was legit. With the Groupon you get a 15 min consultation, a massage and then 4 sessions in the community room. As a newbie to all this I wasn't sure about the "community room." But all it is, is a quiet space with 4 beds and they only apply pins to hands, feet and head exposed areas. It's extra for private room. With some pain in my shoulder the Doc recommended Gua Sha or after some research I found that it's called scraping as well. It causes crazy bruises in areas that your body will help heal. Then, you wait a week for the bruises to heal and do it again until the injury is healed. All in all I have my next appointment booked. And I am excited for my new journey with Eastern Medicine. read more

I read about microneedling in People's newsletter. I was intrigued, but nervous given I've never experienced it before. I checked in with a few friends who raved about the benefits of the treatment. I researched the dos & don'ts pre-treatment & made my appointment. It was nothing like I expected. Corey was AMAZING. Super personalable & explained everything with great care. Loved the spa-like experience & acupuncture treatment. Never experienced any kind of pain during the actual micro-needling - it only felt like a vibration & tickling, especially over the sinuses. Lishanna is my newest obsession. I've been struggling with an ailment that was deemed "chronic" but also the my dr didn't seem to concerned to identify the root issue. Not only did I feel calm and cared for, lishanna brought up secondary tests I didn't even know existed. And omg . Dr. Emmert has gone above and beyond to help me uncover some underlying issues with my health and digestive system. I'm so grateful to have found her, especially because my general doctor was reluctant to do a deeper dive due to "standard procedure," which only treats symptoms, not causes. If I hadn't come across Dr. Emmert and her center, I would still be undiagnosed. In addition, Dr. Emmert was able to identify and treat me for adrenal fatigue that was causing low blood pressure, when my general doctor told me there was nothing they could do for me and I should just rest. No matter what my story she is all wisdom, exudes contagious happiness, and very creatively helps guide me to a better attitude, joy, and confidence. She's way moire effective than any Western or Eastern doctor/practitioner. Shauna Taylor is an excellent massage therapist. As if water witching she immediately finds those tight tense spots that need her magic. Daniel is a good and compassionate Qi Gong therapist as well. I LOVE People's Integrative Medicine. I met Danielle a little over 6 months ago and we've worked on a number of trouble spots on my body with trigger point acupuncture. I have been astonished by the incredible results, my body seems to respond wonderfully to this type of needling. However it wasn't until a recent series of unfortunate happenings with some serious back to back dental problems which threw off my entire bone structure in my jaw. This happened back in March 2020 and left my in agonizing jaw pain accompanied by almost daily migraines. I was beside myself and it made performing routine life tasks unbearable. It became about surviving the day with horrendous jaw, face pain sand serious headaches/migraines. Danielle and I started working together weekly on my jaw with trigger point acupuncture. Danielle is AMAZING! Each week we tackled little by little to keep the severity of my symptoms at bay and in just a matter of several weeks she was able to almost completely eliminate all of my jaw/head pain and discomfort. Sitting here now writing this I sincerely cannot even believe how phenomenal I feel. For the first few weeks I felt pretty hopeless, I was doing jaw exercises, intraoral massage on myself, acupressure points. All of which helped a little but I thought this was something I was going to have to live with for at least the next several years, if not for the rest of my life.
