I am pleased to have found Polished Dental Group. I actually really liked my other dentist so was apprehensive about going somewhere else, but I didn't want to wait because I thought I had a cavity. Well, unfortunately I was correct about the cavity. But fortunately I was really happy with the service I received. I'm a nervous dental patient with a small mouth. I'm sure I'm not a joy to work on. But both the hygienist and the dentist were patient and pleasant with me. When we first started the hygienist said I had to have full X-rays done but insurance only covers every three years. Immediately I figured I was going to have to pay a ton. But she explained if insurance didn't cover, it was only $10. This set me at ease immediately that they wouldn't nickel and dime me. My insurance covered anyway, but still. Additionally, all costs were upfront for everything. I opted for fluoride which my insurance doesn't cover. Was told cost before proceeding. When I checked out, I was also told how much my filling would be at next visit. It was all very reasonable. Like I said I'm a very nervous dental patient. During my cleaning and inspection, both the hygienist and dentist were vocal about what they were doing and that they would be gentle around my sensitive tooth (yes, the cavity!). Usually I feel like I am pulling away and wincing and generally freaking out. But their reassurances relaxed me, and I could calm down. And they were very gentle around the area so as not to cause me pain. I am so glad I found this office and so grateful for their excellent chair side manner. I can't say I'm looking forward to coming back (did I mention the cavity?), but at least I can be much less nervous about the upcoming filling.

One of the worst situations happened when I went in to have a painful tooth looked at and was told I urgently needed a root canal on my molar. I was already in the chair, in severe pain and literally in tears, while Dr. McNeil spent about 45 minutes discussing the situation before eventually telling me she could not perform the procedure because it was the end of the day. It was a Friday, and despite calling it an emergency, the earliest they could get me back in was the following week. Thankfully, another dentist was able to squeeze me in the very next day and completed the root canal without issue. What has been even more upsetting is what I later discovered about the crowns I had done there. I'm young, have always maintained excellent dental hygiene, and noticed that ever since getting two upper crowns done, both sides of my mouth would bleed heavily. I brought up my concerns and was repeatedly told everything looked normal on X-rays. A year later, I saw a new dentist who immediately identified major problems with the crown work. I was told there were gaps around the crowns that allowed bacteria and infection to form underneath. I now have two infected crowns and have been informed that every crown done at this office needs to be redone -- only about a year after having them placed. I specifically invested in getting extensive dental work completed while I had good insurance because I believed this office was reputable. Looking back now, I feel extremely let down by the level of care, attention, and quality of work I received.

She cancelled my routine dental cleaning twice and refused to schedule a dental treatment which was recommended by dr McNeil. I've called 4 times in the past month trying to get it scheduled and even asked that front desk lady to have dr McNeil call me to figure out why it's been so challenging just to be scheduled for a simple procedure. Today when I called again, she laughed at me and was rather disrespectful. I've never experienced such a bad customer service before.

The front desk person always remembers me and I get to go back usually less than five minutes after being checked in. I like that they have a texting system for reminders about appointments. They texted us all today mentioned that their parking situation is valet only right now which didn't affect me because I walked but I can see how that can be annoying to others. Their waiting area is small with three chairs but they have things like a cell phone cleaner and bottled water while you're waiting. I had my six month check up today. I had X-rays done, my next appointment scheduled, cleaning, flossing, polishing, and fluoride done. A dentist also came in after the hygienist and checked my teeth. All of this was done in about 40 minutes. They usually give you a small goody bag with a toothbrush, a small thing of floss, and a travel toothpaste tube but they didn't this time for me which isn't a big deal. My fluoride treatment was $20 and I paid with my FSA card.

After my second visit, earlier this month, I am never returning and am switching dentists immediately. I filled out an online form for Jeffries exactly a week before my appointment to provide them with my dental insurance. I was proactive by informing them of my dental insurance and providing ample time (a week) for them to review it in advance before my appointment, so - in the case it wasn't covered - they could informed me in advance. I even reached out via email prior to filling out the online form to ask for the best way to provide it to them - via photos of my card or via a form or what - and they directed me to the form on their site, which I filled out the next day. FYI, I never heard back from them at all after providing them my insurance information. This was filled out on the Sunday prior to my Saturday appointment, about 6 days later. They only just reviewed my dental insurance AFTER my routine teeth cleaning appointment and informed me then that they don't accept my coverage, so I was charged the full upfront price for the appointment. This is totally unfair. If I give you ample time to review my insurance information, quickly submit it via the means you requested, and never heard back between a week timeframe of it not being acceptable, it is your job as an business team to follow up with me accordingly. They, however, clearly didn't and just wanted my business and money.

Dr. Hall was recommended by a co-worker, so when I had a broken molar with a filling, I called and got an appointment with no problem. The office is always calm and neat, a plus if you're anxious about these kinds of appointments. Dr. Hall has taken care of my emergency dental issues, a wisdom tooth extraction, and cleanings. The location is convenient, the staff friendly and helpful, and I've never had bad results.
