This dentist office makes you fill out your patient paperwork every time you attend a cleaning appointment, just as you were a new patient. Also, it is required to include your social security number on their online form. It is a very redundant and inconvenient way to treat your customers/patients, especially when you are bringing multiple children. Front desk staff could use a serious customer service training. We will no longer use this dentist and already made arrangements for a new dentist. read more

BERNADETTE, who works the front desk, could not be more rude in person and by phone!! Due to her ignorance of their office policy, authorization, and scheduling, she caused a billing issue, which in return caused us to have to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Her lack of accountability/ owning up to her mistake would not allow her to assist with resolving the issue. Instead, she provided an inaccurate email for an office manager, she would not relay a message to the dentist, and she stated that until the bill is paid, our child can not be seen. There is no operational efficiency at this office, and they lack the quality of patient care any patient or parent would expect to receive. read more

After 10 years of going to this dentist office it all came an abrupt end. We have always been very good at keeping our appointments and filling out their extremely redundant time-consuming questionnaire for every single visit (very unnecessary). Especially when you have more than one child. We have 5 kids, and our home schedule can be very complicated at times. One of our kids' school schedule conflicted with an appointment which we found out last minute and had to cancel. I do realize they have a policy however we had never missed in the past 10 years prior. My son is now 17 and I figured it was time to move him on to non-pediatric dentist as I saw their fee of $50 plus a $5 cancellation fee excessive and kind of heartless given the track record. I was not able to reschedule him until I paid this fee. Ok fine. However, my other son who is in college was able to reschedule which gave me the impression the cancellation fee was on a case-by-case basis per child. I keep a scheduled appointment about 2 months later and was told there was a balance on the account of $55. Since I was able to reschedule my other son and was not told I had to first pay the $55 fee I was surprised and expressed that I thought it was only for the one child isolated from the others. I was told that they "kinda" group it as a family. I mean are you making this stuff up as you go or what...no consistency. If had known this, I would have cancelled this appointment as well. I asked to speak to the dentist to explain the situation and was told no. I asked if there was any way possible that I could speak to the dentist again and was told that they can leave a message but 9 times out of 10 I will not be called back by the dentist as they do not get involved in matters such as this. I then asked to please have the dentist call me back either way... crickets... I feel this was totally callus, and a heartless way to handle this situation especially after patronizing this office for 10 years with 5 children. I would also add that this office does not consider the customer's schedule. We have had at least 2 visits cancelled due to office limitations within the 24-hour cancellation time frame which would violate their policy, but when they need to cancel there is no consideration. Parents alter their schedules and at times take off from work to bring the child in. Last minute cancellations affect the customer just as well. After reading other complaints I see the pattern and totally agree with all to date. This is very upsetting and a very disappointing way to end. read more

I had been going to Dr Iannessa since my son was 1yrs old. He is now 12. All 3 of my kids have gone to her since they were 1. We will no longer be going there. I had arrived today for an appt I thought was at 1p which upon arriving had been informed the appt was actually at 10am. Obviously I made a mistake on the time and come at 1p instead of 10am. I showed up just wrong time. Things happen when you are a parent to 3 small kids. Well they do not care they then proceeded to tell me I will be charged $50 each for not showing up to our appointment. After I had asked the receptionist to please ask if the fee could be waived because obviously I showed up just the wrong time another women came out and told me to avoid the fee I had to wait an hour and half with 3 kids to be seen. If I didn't wait to be seen at 2:30p I will be charged $150. Needless to say I will never be taking my children there again. While I understand the fee it isn't like I did not show up at all and it was obviously a mistake. I have never not kept an appt and I have never cancelled one. I will be taking my kids elsewhere. Dr Iannessa is a wonderful dentist but if she wants to keep patients maybe her policies need to be a little understanding. read more

Their administrative procedures and paperwork are RIGOROUS and unnecessarily lengthy. For a busy mom I do NOT have time to fill out the EXACT same information every single visit. It's literally 20 minutes for two kids each time and they are mean about it. I don't really have any complaints about the actual dentistry. read more

We have been going here for years and have never had any complaints. The staff is friendly and Dr. Iannessa is kind and funny.

We have been very happy with Dr. Iannessa and her staff since moving back to the area. She is great with putting the kids at ease and explaining to them what needs to happen in an age appropriate context. It's clear she has passion for her profession. The office is always clean and extra points for style and the Wii in the waiting area :) The support staff is always smiling and helpful. I find the office runs very true or very near the appointment times. Yes there are strict policies in place, but this is a doctors office and should expect them to be. I have zero hesitation to recommend her and her staff for your child's dentistry needs. read more

Covid or not. This place has a very rude staff! If you don't like your job, then find something else, but don't talk down to me in front of my children and then sarcastically tell my child "You have a nice father" after I leave! Did they not think my kid would tell me this?! There's way better options out there. Do yourself and your kids a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Was told my son needed a "simple" filling, but the soonest I could get him scheduled was 3 months later (by then that simple filling may not have been so simple anymore). My daughter also needed a filling and three baby teeth extractions, which required sedation (over $800 out-of-pocket). She has terrible terrible anxiety, but their policy was that the older kids are seen for their sedation appts in the afternoon (torture for her to have to wait all morning). Had enough....went to Dentistry for Kids in Beaver...extremely happy. No waiting. They filled my son's tooth during his first visit, and scheduled my daughter for ONE extraction, filling, and molar sealant (no sedation...just laughing gas) within 2 weeks. She just had the appt, and the staff was AMAZING with her (and it only cost me $19)! Like a previous poster, I also had trouble with Iannessa's records policy. Ridiculously expensive, although I ended up never getting them, anyway....they were supposed to call when they were ready, but they never did. Plus, they do make you wait a while before you are seen. read more

Based on past visits and my knowledge of how my child reacts to medical procedures, I asked that Dr. Iannessa NOT explain each step in detail to my daughter. The long, while child friendly explanations, only get my daughter more tense to the point of rigid fear. Dr. Iannessa began the procedure, a routine cavity filling, following my wishes. During the second portion of the procedure she began to over-explain and I watched as my daughter became increasingly agitated. I tried, in the least over bearing protective mama bear way possible, to indicate that we stick to more "distracting" conversation. Then, in front of my daughter, the doctor looks at me and says "i'm not just going to pin her back to the chair, that would be inhumane." She did not say this in a gentle way. I sat and quietly seethed the rest of the appointment as I didn't want to upset my daughter further. I have the highest respect for those in the medical profession. The respect that I expect in return, is that they trust that I know my child and what they need. On another note, if you have children that respond poorly to over stimulation, this also may not be the best venue for your family. in the waiting room, at all times, is piped in music, a large tv, and two wii consoles. I get the appeal, but when you're sitting and waiting for you very young child to come through their first experience with anesthesia, it can become over whelming. The cleaning technicians were all awesome. We'll miss them. read more

Be aware that pediatric dentists do not like to drill teeth and even though I was advised "we are watching these" actually means there are cavities and we should fix them. And ones that are supposedly fixed have cavities under the fillings. Not sure how that happens. Unfortunately now both of my kids have to go through extensive dental work. Just be ware the words "we are going to watch these" - which seems to be a very common saying in this practice. read more

But when we consulted another dentist that we were told my son' s pain due to the growth of the molars.There was nothing wrong with my son's teeth.I told everyone I know don't go there! read more

Arrived 8 minutes late to my 8am cleaning appointment due to morning traffic and was told we could not be seen. My daughter is 3 and actually loves going to the dentist and cried when I told her we had to leave. We were the very first appointment with no one else waiting. The receptionist embellished our lateness by adding time to the clock and informed us that our visit was already 1/2 way over. She asked us to come back at 10:30am with no concern to a busy parent's schedule. I also had our newborn with us. Any time I have visited prior, we have waited far longer than 8 minutes in the waiting room with no complaints on my end. I will be taking both of my kids elsewhere from now on. Update: After booking an appointment with another dentist and calling to retrieve my daughter's dental records, they informed me that I needed to come sign for them in person. I have 2 kids who have seen multiple doctors and sent multiple records to daycares, other doctors, etc. This is the first time I was told this needed to be taken care of in person. Upon returning to the office, they then told me that they would provide printed records with a $10 fee for the first page and $2 for every page after that and I would need to come BACK to retrieve them at a later date because they take between 72 hours and 30 days to pull the file. They would not email or fax anything to me or directly to the dentist and blamed this on HIPA regulations. Funny how ALL other doctors I have used have found a way to email and fax this information. Most archaic & pathetic nickel and dime way to operate a professional medial office I have ever encountered. read more

I had to bring in my 11 month old for a concern that I had. The waiting room was very child friendly. I had no issues being able to put him down and let him crawl around. The staff was also extremely friendly. They got to us as soon as they could. My son was actually very well behaved and I believe it was because of the child friendly atmosphere of the facility. I took my child here for a teeth cleaning and it was a horrible experience. My child came out crying. They don't let the parents into the exam room at all. It is one big exam room where all the kids are put together. He was in and out in less than ten minutes which made me question how well they actually cleaned his teeth. Too bad the wait time in the office was over an hour. I will NEVER take my child back to this place, it is awful. read more

My daughters have been patients here for about 5 years. Loved the atmosphere until one time when my daughter who was 4 at the time and tired from being in daycare all day wasn't cooperating. I was scolded by the dentist that I should force her to sit and go through with the exam because what would it be teaching her if I left (I'm sure this was because they couldn't bill for services not rendered). I was appalled but continued bringing my daughters to this dentist. However just last month received a bill for $85.00, I had some phone calls back and forth with the insurance company, and just called the dentist to make payment. They told me my balance was $90.00 (+$5.00) late fee, I kindly asked if it could be waived. I was told flat out no, they don't waive late fees (policy). I politely gave them my credit card info and told them I would find another dentist. Can you believe they said ok? What kind of business treats their customers that way. I could see if I was a habitual late payer or if the bill was several months past due. DO NOT GO HERE! They run this like a business not a dentist office that cares about their patients and families. read more
