I want to give this place one star for the horrific treatment my special needs son received here. But the extra star is because Dr. Morgan Sr. did skillfully save my daughter's molar when no other family dentist knew what to do.
However, when I brought my 10 year old son in who has special needs, they treated him like an animal. Actually we have gotten more humane and understanding care for our labrador retriever at the vet. In my son's therapy program we had worked so hard for 6 months on getting him desensitized to going to the dentist- the tools, the chair leaned back, the noises, etc. My son is non-speaking but he does understand and he tries so very hard. Dr. Morgan and his asst didn't ease him in or explain anything they were very matter of fact and cold (do they work with children all day?) My son got anxious and fussed a little and Dr. Morgan firmly told him "NO" about 1 foot from his face, while my son was reclined in the chair. My son became a little more agitated and I tried to calm him by holding his arms down.... I was 8 months pregnant at the time. I regret not ending the dental exam (BTW- this was just an exam and cleaning) at that point. Somehow we got through it- though there were tears and sweating from both my son and me. I was thinking... we are NEVER coming back here. I quickly paid my bill and left. When I got home I realized that they had charged us $120 for "behavior management". My husband was flabbergasted, I was so upset and my son was traumatized and I wasn't sure how I'd ever get him back to a dentist. My husband stopped by there the next day to demand our money back.
This place is terrible. Another time I saw Dr Morgan Jr speak so condescendingly to a Spanish-speaking mother, through her 10ish yr old son who was interpreting, and the little girl patient was right there crying. He spoke to this mother like she was a child. Completely disgusting.
My other kids were thrilled to move to a different dentist. Dr. Morgan would ask them weird questions and make them feel uncomfortable. He asked my 12 year old daughter "would you ever marry a red-head?" WHAT? What creep does that?
Do NOT take your kids to this dentist. We now go to Ped dentistry of Noblesville and they have gone out of their way to make my kids feel comfortable. My son was a wreck when he first started going there due to the trauma from Dr. Morgan. But the new dentist took things very slowly and explained everything to my son. And miracle of miracles my son now has braces and goes to an ortho every month like a champion! read more
