I do have one daughter that is now 28 years old and has multiple special needs that has had outstanding care along with my other two children that have been coming here. When my daughter began her care she was extremely orally defensive from many years of being on a ventilator and having a feeding tube as well as many other aggressive steps to save her life early on. One of the many things she struggled with was getting her teeth cleaned but I am so happy to report that with the dedication and patience of the staff at FPD she remains cavity free at 28 yrs old and now gets her routine cleanings and X-rays without incident. Dr. Kugar's practice feels so much more personal--she actually knows the names of my 2 kids. We've already seen her for 2 cleanings and a cavity fill, which was a first for us. She was so gentle, kind and warm. My kids had no hesitation having her inspect their teeth and I felt 100% confident in her recommendations for dental care. The reception area is really cute, with a little house inside with a play kitchen. In the patient area she has a great set up that offers a tad more privacy compared to the more open-concept areas, which I REALLY appreciate. All in all, we LOVE it. My daughter was born with a lip and tongue tie and after a few…read moreweeks of being home I noticed a major change with bad latching, pulling on and off and being extra fussiness during feeding sessions. I sought out the support of a lactation consultant, she was great and offered ideas on oral exercises to prevent the need for clipping. Although I tried those recommendations, my daughter still continued to struggle. I located the Indiana Professional Lip and Tongue Tie list and contacted Dr. Dan's office as it was about 45 minutes from my home. His office was extremely easy to reach, I communicated the need for the consult on lip and tongue tie clipping and was able to schedule the following business day. My husband and I both went to the appointment to ensure we were making the right decision. Dr. Dan spent easily 45 minutes to an hour with us prior to the procedure answering questions, reviewing our concerns and possible reasons for the concerns. He has the BEST bedside manner and truly understands the bond that a mother and child have during breastfeeding. I have never met a professional aside from OB that truly can understand the connection between mother and baby during the feeding. I felt at ease with him and his desire to help us along our journey with our daughter. The procedure was extremely quick but handled with the utmost respect to my tiny infant. The level of patience and ability to keep my infant comfortable during his initial exam was outstanding. His assistant was helpful and used a calm voice when speaking to us. The procedure was not rushed nor was the support in understanding how to do the after care routine. I was able to glove up and practice the exercises with the doctor to ensure I had them down pat before leaving. There is a list of instructions that is provided to you prior to entering the procedure room and although it looks intimidating, it's pretty easy and gone over in great detail. There is also a few videos emailed to you for extra support during the following weeks after you leave the office. Dr. Dan provided his contact number for direct questions or support needed during recovery and encouraged us to contact with any concerns day or night. Following the procedure he continued to wow me by offering a boppy pillow to assist with nursing my baby. This is unheard of from any professional even at an OB office! I can't say enough positive things about Dr.Dan!! We followed up a week later and I continued to see the same genuine concern for my daughter and how she was recovering. When we have other children, I will be sure to return to see him and know that the procedure is done correctly the first time around and by someone who truly wants to make a difference.

I thought we'd be lucky if he allowed them to even take a peek inside his mouth... Dr. Sukhi and her hygienist worked their magic and were able to do a full cleaning! No detail is overlooked at Bumble Kids. They started the appointment by encouraging our son to brush a stuffed doggie's teeth and allowing plenty of time for him to have fun with it. Next, they introduced him to each piece of equipment before they used it. They did a full cleaning (with the professional electric toothbrush) AND flossed his teeth. He loved watching Daniel Tiger on the t.v. positioned on the ceiling that encouraged him to look up while they worked. The appointment was finished with lots of praise and allowing him to choose a fun prize. I'd also like to add that the office is very clean and styled beautifully. As the son of a dentist I have found the quality of care to be top notch and I trust Dr. Juntgen to care for my kids oral health. The waiting room is clean and modern and kids are entertained through movies that play in one corner. One of the practices I really appreciate occurs at the end of each office visit. Dr. Juntgen and her staff provide a consultation that summarizes the visit and point out areas to watch and tips to help the kids keep their gums and teeth healthy. These meetings involve the kids so they can hear first-hand how to take care of themselves and see the images that reveal the health of their teeth and gums on a computer monitor.

I made an appointment 2 days later for the extraction (they could have even done next day, but I was unavailable). As soon as I sat down in the chair, I was a jittery little ball of anxiety. It was my first time having anything more than a filling. The assistants were amazing! Explained everything in the post-op instructions, answered any questions I had, and numbed my mouth up. But I'm still nervous. Then the dentist comes in: "Ready? If you ever need me to stop for any reason, just raise your hand." He grabs a little tool from the tray. I clench my fists. I curl my toes. And I open my mouth. "Before we get started," he says, as he reaches in, "I'll tell you this. The one thing you can do to help me is to not open your mouth fully.. close it a little and it'll be easier for me and more comfortable for you. Yeah, like that. You see how it doesn't hurt when I push on the inside of your cheek now?" He does that a couple times to show me, and he's right. "And the other thing you can do to help is fight against me when I push on your tooth. Like this. When I push like this, you push back. Yep, just like that. And we're done. If you want to see your tooth, it's right here on the table." This master of distraction did the whole dang procedure while he was giving me the instructions! It honestly felt like magic. This dentist office is not the best I've experienced. I went for a few visits in 2017, once for a…read morecleaning, and several times for fillings. I had quite a few cavities "in between my teeth" despite the fact that i don't drink coffee or soda ever, I eat pretty well, and floss everyday. I decided to get 4 of the 18 they said I had filled. After my cleaning, I made an appointment for the fillings. I ended up having to work that day, so I rescheduled about a month or two later. When I came in for that new appointment, the technician cleaned my teeth again and tried to let me go! I informed her I was there to get fillings done, and the woman at the front desk was very confused until she saw that I was right as I had just had a cleaning about two months prior. They told me I couldn't get my fillings done that day, even though they messed up so I'd have to come back. I went and got the fillings done and all seemed fine. I was quoted $106 for all four fillings after my insurance was taken into account. However when I received my bill, it's was over $250. That's a big discrepancy. I called to ask why that estimate was so off and I was told that the amount they estimate isn't always accurate. After doing my own investigating, I found that they charged my insurance way more per tooth than they told me they would in the estimate. I was then told that if I wanted to see what the actual amount was per tooth, I had to request that information myself and it would not be provided to me voluntarily by North College Dental. If I went into Walmart and wanted to purchase a gallon of milk, I shouldn't have to ask the cashier how much the milk actually is if the price tag they provided said $1.99! I have a coworker who I recommended to visit this dentist that had a similar subpar experience with billing. Not long after I got the teeth filled, I was in excruciating pain because the fillings were not shaved down properly, so I had to come in again to get that fixed. I was told it would take up to 6 months to lose sensitivity in a new filling, but here I am almost a a year later and it doesn't feel much better than it did when I went in. I can say that they provided me a $5 Starbucks gift card for recommending a friend so that's a nice gesture, and slightly ironic. Way to encourage bad eating habits by providing me free coffee and sugary drinks. I'll be seeking a new dentist.
