I made an appointment 2 days later for the extraction (they could have even done next day, but I was unavailable). As soon as I sat down in the chair, I was a jittery little ball of anxiety. It was my first time having anything more than a filling. The assistants were amazing! Explained everything in the post-op instructions, answered any questions I had, and numbed my mouth up. But I'm still nervous. Then the dentist comes in: "Ready? If you ever need me to stop for any reason, just raise your hand." He grabs a little tool from the tray. I clench my fists. I curl my toes. And I open my mouth. "Before we get started," he says, as he reaches in, "I'll tell you this. The one thing you can do to help me is to not open your mouth fully.. close it a little and it'll be easier for me and more comfortable for you. Yeah, like that. You see how it doesn't hurt when I push on the inside of your cheek now?" He does that a couple times to show me, and he's right. "And the other thing you can do to help is fight against me when I push on your tooth. Like this. When I push like this, you push back. Yep, just like that. And we're done. If you want to see your tooth, it's right here on the table." This master of distraction did the whole dang procedure while he was giving me the instructions! It honestly felt like magic. This dentist office is not the best I've experienced. I went for a few visits in 2017, once for a…read morecleaning, and several times for fillings. I had quite a few cavities "in between my teeth" despite the fact that i don't drink coffee or soda ever, I eat pretty well, and floss everyday. I decided to get 4 of the 18 they said I had filled. After my cleaning, I made an appointment for the fillings. I ended up having to work that day, so I rescheduled about a month or two later. When I came in for that new appointment, the technician cleaned my teeth again and tried to let me go! I informed her I was there to get fillings done, and the woman at the front desk was very confused until she saw that I was right as I had just had a cleaning about two months prior. They told me I couldn't get my fillings done that day, even though they messed up so I'd have to come back. I went and got the fillings done and all seemed fine. I was quoted $106 for all four fillings after my insurance was taken into account. However when I received my bill, it's was over $250. That's a big discrepancy. I called to ask why that estimate was so off and I was told that the amount they estimate isn't always accurate. After doing my own investigating, I found that they charged my insurance way more per tooth than they told me they would in the estimate. I was then told that if I wanted to see what the actual amount was per tooth, I had to request that information myself and it would not be provided to me voluntarily by North College Dental. If I went into Walmart and wanted to purchase a gallon of milk, I shouldn't have to ask the cashier how much the milk actually is if the price tag they provided said $1.99! I have a coworker who I recommended to visit this dentist that had a similar subpar experience with billing. Not long after I got the teeth filled, I was in excruciating pain because the fillings were not shaved down properly, so I had to come in again to get that fixed. I was told it would take up to 6 months to lose sensitivity in a new filling, but here I am almost a a year later and it doesn't feel much better than it did when I went in. I can say that they provided me a $5 Starbucks gift card for recommending a friend so that's a nice gesture, and slightly ironic. Way to encourage bad eating habits by providing me free coffee and sugary drinks. I'll be seeking a new dentist.

The care quality from Dr. Hiple is unsurpassed (I had an injury on vacation that led to an abscess. Dr. Hiple also was on vacation... He and Molly came in off vacation to meet me. The relief from the pain was so immediate I fell asleep in the chair and they allowed me to nap knowing I hadn't slept in days). The location, equipment and convenience is outstanding (right near the Palladium but with their own plentiful parking). There is nothing negative about this place. They see every member of my family, nearly every one of my friends, and a ton of other people who've thanked me for the recommendation. If you want a seriously nice dentist who will actually truly care about your dental health, you'll find it here. If you want staff who will really get to know you versus just making you feel guilty about flossing daily, you'll find it here (Brenda even demo'ed how I could help my autistic/sensory son to brush closer to his gum line without him freaking out). The front desk staff are very friendly. The hygienist that I had was the nicest hygienist I've ever had. She was so friendly and explained a lot of things to me about dentistry and good dental hygiene that I did not know. Dr. Hiple is also very nice and friendly. He didn't act rushed when he came in to see me and sat and talked with me for several minutes. I had to get some fillings as well and my regular cleaning visit so I have been twice now. The staff was really great and eased my anxiety during my filling appointment as well.

Despite the fact that the office is always busy and they have lots of patients, the hygienists and Dr. Bozic always remember me and what I was studying in school or later working at as an adult. The few times I had to go to other dentists, when I lived in other states, the difference was night and day - Dr. Bozic and his staff are far and away the gentlest and quickest dentists around. A children's dentist *should* have been calm and caring, should have explained what he was doing and understood the fear and pain of having a mouthful of fillings done at such a young age. He was none of those things. He was rough, harsh, and downright cruel during the several days of my multiple appointments. He poked, stretched, and pulled without trying to be careful. When I sniffled, he told me I was a nasty little girl. When I cried because it hurt, he clamped his hand down over my mouth and snarled, "If you don't shut up I will tell your mommy and she'll come in and spank you." I was terrified, and never told my mother, who thought that my increasing reluctance to go to my appointments was just normal for a 2-year-old child having to have so much dental work on her baby teeth. Several years ago I confessed all this to my mom, who was horrified that she never knew. She remembered that Dr Bozic never addressed her by the proper last name, even after she corrected him repeatedly. To this day I clearly remember Dr Bozic's face and the smell of his hands, and the feel of his palm covering my face in anger. I can't believe the man is still in practice, and I would never, ever recommend him as a dentist for anyone, much less a child.
