I took my daughter here for her first dentist visit, and it was an amazing experience. She has autism, and the staff was incredibly patient, gentle, and kind. They took time to explain everything and made her feel comfortable with the tools before using them. This is definitely our new dentist. Such horrible customer service. The front desk denied my kids to be seen even if I was the only client at 8:50 in the morning. Instead of accommodating she told me to leave. I told her there was alot of traffic and instead of working with the both my kids she just told me to leave. I do not recommend this location to anyone. staff is horrible. read more

Everything prior uses stated about Mendez is true and my daughters filling also FELL OUT! when I called to tell them I was told we were let go as a patient - likely because when they put in the filling 2 years prior we had to go back 2x because the occlusion was trash and the filing was too high. Poor service and then "fired" as a patient for calling them out. She is rude, more concerned about her appearance then doing good work and is just unskilled PERIOD. From the moment we walked in the experience has been nothing but beautiful. My kids are not big fans of the dentist and they make it so easy coming to the dentist the dental assistants Yicsia and Taylor were so kind and gentle with my children! They went above and beyond. As well as the doctor. She always gets at eye level and truly communicates with my littles. I call this our dentist home. I am forever grateful for this office and the entire staff. The front desk to back office, everyone is pleasant and kind! Also special thank you to Taylor. I was feeling low on sugar and she ran and got me apple juice and continued to make sure I was ok. I have two children 13 and 6. My 13 year has always been a smooth and easy dental patient, he was fine at a general dentist. My 6 year old has a different temperament, she is sensitive and emotional in general, I chose this dentist based on reviews and location. Both children had what felt like very rushed procedures. 13 y/o had sealants put on new molars, procedure was started by assistants only for the dentist to come in and have to correct the work. My 6 y/o had to have cavities filled and a tooth pulled/spacer added. For the fillings she was given laughing gas, she was given a shot and then they started to work immediately. My daughter stated several times that she could still feel it. They ended up not completing work & recommending sedation. (Which I might add was not covered by my insurance which is a personal problem, but it was $250 just fyi) So we made an appointment for sedation to complete fillings and pull tooth and add spacer. It was very traumatic, again she was given the sedation medicine, then laughing gas and numbing shot and work was started immediately. Like I said she is sensitive and emotional, both times the Novocain shot upset her and she wasn't given even a moment to calm down. Due to sedation she doesn't remember the experience, but I was there and it was traumatic. We switched dentists, to my surprise when I was shown that neither child had sealants on their teeth and my daughter's fillings fell out. My 13 y/o apparently has a cavity which the new dentist indicated is not a newly developed one. They had been to this dentist within 6 months of us switching. This was all within 2022. read more

When you call you are speaking to someone in a call center, not in the office. So they naturally aren't going to be as empathetic or knowledgeable as office personnel would be. I called to make an appointment for my son's broken tooth. Since it's an emergency (happened last night), I wanted to see if they can squeeze him in. The lady on the line asked about my insurance etc. then said she had to put me on hold "to better assist" me (call center, I work in one). She comes back on about 5 minutes later asking about my insurance again and if I had the card on me. We had just gotten home at that point and in a rush to get in the house because my husband needed to go to work etc. I was explaining this to the lady, and then stated I need to get my insurance card from my purse in a second. The lady said it's fine, then asked about the appointment. I explained that it had happened last night so I need him to be seen today. She acts dumbfounded by what I'm saying and asks me to repeat myself. I explain again, and she's like "what is IT, I'm not understanding". I had just told her what it was for...again, it's a call center, so they aren't going to really care or listen like office personnel would. She says they don't have any appointments available for today but can schedule one for another day. I explained we'll check around for another dentist because he needs to be seen today. I don't review places often, but this just made me so frustrated. IMO it's a red flag when a practice outsources to a call center for inbound calls. Today I took my daughter in for a procedure, it was suppose to be a pretty fast task but my daughter was complaining of pain and discomfort which slowed down the process of the task at hand . Dr. Mendez and Assistant Mical worked together and talked my daughter through every step to endure that both my daughter and myself were comfortable. Dr. Mendez was able to complete the procedure and treated my daughter with respect, and compassion. Mendez's incompetence is staggering!!! Her baseless assumptions accuse us of parental neglect just because she's too lazy to ask and assuming that our kid does not have past dental care because SHE CANT SIT STILL. When she has dental records in other states. Assuming that she does not have ABA and other incompetent behavior. Our daughter has AUTISM, and her inability to sit still isn't a character flaw--it's a medical CONDITION!!!!. Despite her Unprofessional Assumptions, we've diligently taken her to the dentist at ages 4, 6, 7, and now 9. Mendez's Unprofessionalism and discrimination about autism is not just uninformed; it's dangerous discriminatory. COMPARING AUTISTIC children who can sit still REVEALED A lack of PROFESSION AND INABILITY TO BE SO IGNORANT of autism's DIVERSITY . This isn't just bad medicine; it's a disgrace to the profession OF A DENTAL GROUP. We'll never return, and I'll make sure this review is plastered on every platform I can find. If there were an option for a negative 100 rating, I'd use it. The office and staff were very nice. Chairs each had tvs playing kid friendly movies. Hygienists and dentists were very informative and great with my little ones. The only thing I found odd was the appt time was changed In increments of 10 mins about 4 times in the month prior. Overall, happy with this office and will return. read more

Wow. I was directed to this office as a last resort on my journey to find an office that could handle my two boys who are on the autism spectrum. I had never been able to get my 11 year old a cleaning or x-ray and it was the five year old's first time. Let me just praise them for their attentiveness and their compassion and patience. I absolutely recommend Dr. Aina and her team, for anyone looking for a pediatric dentist. I brought my 4 year old in for dental work, and everyone was so friendly and patient. Really a wonderful experience. Took my 5 year old for five fillings and I was very worried. But they eased our fears and provided a calm and easy experience. My daughter was not in any pain. I thought it was such an awesome experience that I chose a new insurance for my 2 year old son so he can be seen here. When we went in, the staff was nice and did the cleaning very quickly! I have taken my daughters here twice now and just can't say enough about how wonderful this office. Their last experience at a pediatric dentist was traumatic to say the least. Our first appointment was such a redeeming experience and both of my girls left saying how nice the dentist was. Today they both had treatment including an extraction. They are so sweet and empathetic to the kids' needs. I have 3 kiddos and 1 of them had to have teeth extracted and it was such a traumatic experience with every dentist we went to. Even though it was not a pleasant experience period, the ladies here were so gentle and kind to my sweet girl. They make the kids feel special and make a bid deal when they don't have cavities and have been taking care of their teeth, which makes my kids want to take care of them even more. Our daughter went from having quite a few cavities to 0 with this dental office. We've been to both offices and love ALL the staff. You don't regret it. read more

I had a great experience from the beginning to end. Check in was prompt with very courteous staff. They had a children's movie playing, perfect for distracting the little ones. They had success with the x-rays! (My child has never been able to have them done due to crying) and with the examination, the staff explained everything step by step with no hesitation or rush. The staff member Gloria that assisted with all of the billing and different options had patience out of this world! I definitely recommend this pediatric dental office! I've taken my 9 year old son to this office three times and he has been treated by Dr. Sainvil (including a cleaning, sealants, fillings, and one extraction). Prior to finding this dental office, my son really disliked going to the dentist. He still isn't too fond of it but he no longer is scared or worried about going because of how well his experiences has been here. Dr. Sainvil does a great job of explaining in detail the treatment plan & the reasoning behind the decided treatment. She also made my son feel as comfortable as possible during the treatment. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because at my son's last appointment he wasn't seen until almost a hour after his scheduled appointment time and while we were waiting I wasn't provided the courtesy by the front office staff of being informed that appointments were running behind. read more

Today we brought our 5 year old very apprehensive daughter in to get her 1st cleaning and to have her big girl molars checked. She was so nervous leading up to the appointment and even got fussy in the lobby but as soon as she was brought back with the dental technician she was soon comforted and shown that they are very caring and nice. The staff from the receptionist, to the technician, to the doctor that checked her over were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and answered all the questions we had. They were very patient and gentle with her and her nerves were no longer there. They explained to her what would happen on her next appointment and reassured her that she will not feel any pain from the filling that is needed. This appointment was so humbling! This is our forth dentist since moving to Florida in 2006 and it's by far the best. I was able to make an appt quickly within the week, the staff was super friendly and we were able to schedule another appt for my son just 2 days later for a minor operation.
