She took the time to understand both my concerns and my daughter's fears. From the moment we walked in, she made my daughter feel comfortable and safe. Her calm, gentle approach put her at ease right away. Amazingly, she was able to fill two cavities in one visit--and my daughter left with nothing but positive things to say. The staff is friendly and wonderful. Kat, the dental assistant, is great with the kids. My toddler loves that he can watch his favorite cartoons upside down from the "green chair". Every station he gets a little something to positively reinforce his participation in the experience (stickers, little toy, and of course, he got to pick what kind of toothbrush he wanted). Doctor Allie and her team just know what they are doing. Even when making the appt, they are patient and flexible. My toddler (and I) actually enjoy going- and I don't know many that can say that about a dentist's appt.

Once you set an appointment they message you like everyday in a 10 day period to confirm the appointment. I understand the reason but annoying. When asked both times to have me taken off they had the same excuse of "our system was acting funny" so that's why. Keep in mind those appointments were 6 months apart. We'll see if it's fixed in the future. 2.) When I sat down in the receptionist chair. Lacey Satterfield cleaned my teeth per my invoice/receipt. She said my cleaning today would be $89. I said, nope that's wrong. It's $60 ish without fluoride and $110 with fluoride. I asked the receptionist so we'll have to verify that." She responded super sassy, "okay whatever we won't worry about it." The rest of the appointment you could tell she was irritated. All I could think was ma'am please get your hands out of my mouth with that attitude. Of course I just sat there. She won't be cleaning my teeth again. She's snarky, and has zero soft skills. 1 Star - Disorganized and Poor Communication…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Main Street Dentistry in Winter Park. I received a call today informing me that they no longer accept my dental insurance as of January 1, 2026--for an appointment scheduled on Monday, May 4th. What makes this unacceptable is that I made this appointment after January 1, specifically because that's when my insurance became active. This should have been identified and communicated long ago, not days before the appointment. To make matters worse, I was also told that my son is "too old" to be seen by a pediatric dentist. This was never explained to me at any point. I did not realize that dental pediatrics differ from medical pediatrics in age limits, especially since pediatric medical offices regularly see patients until 18 (and sometimes older). I have spoken with this office at least three separate times, and my son even had a birthday in April--yet no one mentioned this during any of those conversations. When I questioned why this wasn't addressed sooner, I was told they "neglected to inform me" because they didn't have Delta Dental's phone number. That explanation makes no sense, considering they were already on the phone with me multiple times and could have clarified this at any point. Overall, this experience reflects poor communication, lack of follow‑through, and disorganization. Unfortunately, this has been yet another disappointing experience with a dental office, and it's very frustrating to have things fall apart due to issues that should have been addressed from the beginning.
