I called and canceled my appointment and received confirmation. The next day, they call to ask if I'm coming to my appointment. I explained that I called and cancelled the appointment the day prior. She said okay and apologized and hung up. Weeks later I receive a bill for $50 due to missing my appointment. I called and explained that I canceled. She said no problem they will take care of it. A few weeks later I receive another bill. I go in and show them my call log and that I called and canceled the appointment. They said okay and that it would be handled. A few weeks later I receive a bill for $50 again. I finally just decided to pay the money rather than this poorly run dental office send something to collections and ruin my credit due to them trying to scam patients who have cancer. 1 Star - Disorganized and Poor Communication…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Main Street Dentistry in Winter Park. I received a call today informing me that they no longer accept my dental insurance as of January 1, 2026--for an appointment scheduled on Monday, May 4th. What makes this unacceptable is that I made this appointment after January 1, specifically because that's when my insurance became active. This should have been identified and communicated long ago, not days before the appointment. To make matters worse, I was also told that my son is "too old" to be seen by a pediatric dentist. This was never explained to me at any point. I did not realize that dental pediatrics differ from medical pediatrics in age limits, especially since pediatric medical offices regularly see patients until 18 (and sometimes older). I have spoken with this office at least three separate times, and my son even had a birthday in April--yet no one mentioned this during any of those conversations. When I questioned why this wasn't addressed sooner, I was told they "neglected to inform me" because they didn't have Delta Dental's phone number. That explanation makes no sense, considering they were already on the phone with me multiple times and could have clarified this at any point. Overall, this experience reflects poor communication, lack of follow‑through, and disorganization. Unfortunately, this has been yet another disappointing experience with a dental office, and it's very frustrating to have things fall apart due to issues that should have been addressed from the beginning.
