Absolutely the most disturbing and unprofessional experience I have ever had with a business. On August 16, 2025, my friends and I rented a bike from Pedal Hopper Denver for my husband's birthday. What should have been a fun evening turned into a frightening and unacceptable ordeal because of our assigned driver/guide, Curtis. Despite Pedal Hopper's written policy stating that alcohol is not permitted, Curtis texted me prior to the ride with ways to sneak alcohol on board, and even stopped at a liquor store at the start of the tour to encourage purchases. This disregard for company rules created a dangerous environment from the start. The situation escalated when Curtis verbally berated my husband in front of law enforcement, using profanity and shouting at us. By the end of the ride, Curtis became aggressive, stopping the tour and kicking us off. In the heated exchange that followed, he attempted to strike my husband and instead hit me on the arm. This constitutes physical assault. Afterward, Curtis sent me a string of harassing text messages, which included personal insults and discriminatory remarks. I had to block him because the messages would not stop. I documented all of this with photos and screenshots, which I still have. I reported this incident directly to Pedal Hopper Denver management immediately after, requesting a refund and disciplinary action. To date, I have received no response from the company. No customer should ever be physically assaulted, harassed, or put in danger by an employee of a business. This experience was not just unprofessional--it was deeply disturbing and unsafe. I am pursuing further action outside of this review, but I feel strongly that others should be aware before booking. read more

When I used to see these bikes out on the street, I was always a little bit annoyed at how slow they were driving, how much they were yelling, and how much they were trying to high-five randos, but that's probably because I was grumpy....until I got on one!!! SUPER fun activity with friends - we went on one for a friend group birthday celebration and we had a blast and a half. I was yelling and high-fiving strangers and singing along to rock ballads with the best of them. Would HIGHLY recommend this to let out your inner basic ho self. The driver was chill and it's fun that you can control the music and how often you stop, so our group ended up staying on the bike most of the time because of how fun it was. Definitely do this!!! read more

OMG this was so much fun! Our driver, Thomas, made the ride so enjoyable. He was so outgoing and knew how to enhance the experience. From the moment we met at the BOOZHall Rino, I knew it was going to be a good time. We rode around the city, saying hi to anyone and everyone. Don't be fooled, you will have to pedal and get a workout in but it isn't extensive. You can customize your experience; we didn't want to stop at a lot of bars because we were having too much fun on the bike so we asked to only stop at two bars. You can bring your own playlist but the Thomas knew exactly what we were in the mood for so we used his for the most part. Thomas was very accommodating to our group, I was craving a hot dog and he stopped at the best hot dog spot in Denver. He was full of facts and information about Denver and each area we stopped and rode by. He was very generous and gave cold waters to parking attendants who were working the Rockies game. Our experience exceeded my expectations and I was sad when we had to leave. You can bring your own drinks in any metal or plastic container with a lid as well as a cooler. Your group can also have someone stand in the middle of the bike and attend to the group for drinks and what not. This is definitely going to be a reoccurring trip for us girls! read more

We chose Pedal Hopper after looking into a few things to do for 3 birthdays we would be celebrating last weekend. Couldn't have made a better choice. Matt called me the day after i made the reservation and explained everything i needed to know as well as a answer a few questions I had. Eric, our kickass driver, texted me a few days before to review what Matt had already discussed with me, and answered a few new questions I had. The day of the event Eric was right on time and ready to get us started. He explained all the rules (common sense rules that a monkey could follow) and had us cruising around town shortly thereafter. We're a bit of a rowdy bunch and he did a great job keeping us on track... and out of trouble. Overall this was a great experience and we loved every minute of it. Definitely something we would suggest to others and do again. Thanks to everyone at Pedal Hopper for making this a great time!! Ryan Hopkins read more

I've done the pedal hopper twice and loved it both times! I HIGHLY recommend doing this for any event. We were able to drink the whole time, got an exercise in, and jammed out to our music while riding around lodo! Couldn't ask for a better time. Our driver both times was very fun and friendly. I think the price is very reasonable for what you get - we just split the price between everyone on the ride (we had the max amount of people on board each time). It's a little crowded but just adds to the fun, I think. read more

Had wanted to try one of these things for so long, but this company was a major letdown. Their hopper was pretty old and rickety, some turns felt like being on a wooden rollercoaster. Overall not a super attractive ride. BUT the real down side was that 1. there was no alcohol on the actual pedal hopper itself, 2. we stopped at bars but were limited to 20 minutes at each bar, and 3. when we wanted to stay at a bar we were told there was a $500 abandonment fee! There is some short-lived novelty of being on this contraption, riding through the streets, but it was quite short lived while sober and pissed off. read more

We had so much fun touring around RiNo with Hunter last weekend! Denver peeps put this on your must try list. I'm glad we went during the day because we had a chance to see all the street art and explore some unique stops without a ton of crowds. read more

We ventured out on the Pedal Hopper on Cinco de Drunko for my sister's 29th birthday and everyone had so much fun. The bike was a blast. The built in speakers are a HUGE plus. If you don't have your own music, no worries, you can listen to the PH 80's/90's mix which was a hit! Be prepared to burn off most of the calories you are drinking as you ride the PH. It's not a breeze through the park....you have to actually pedal (or you'll piss off everyone else that is making up for your lack of pedaling). Umm, bring liquor on the bike (just discreetly). It gives you something to do while pedaling. Also - girls, a dress or a skirt may not be the greatest idea, trust me. And, wear spandex bike shorts if you can (totally kidding), your butt will be sore the following day (totally serious). Our driver, Mike, was amazing. Cool dude - very funny - and makes sure to accommodate whatever it is that you may need. Do this, unless you're lame and don't like to have fun. If that's you, then stay home. PH is only for fun people. read more

Seriously one of the best random things I've done in Denver. I got together a group of friends, stashed away some drinks, and hopped on. The contraption is hilarious, and it's a bit terrifying (in the best of ways) to fly through intersections or around corners. They have a very nice (and patient...who would want to corral 16 drunk people?) driver on board who guides the bike, keeps you on schedule, and provides entertainment. We made a playlist and plugged in an iPod and blasted some great tunes on the built-in speakers. To the reviewer who expected more excitement, I'd suggest that the excitement is in the people you're with. Get a crowd! We went out near Colfax and stopped at the Tavern, The Irish Snug, and The Thin Man. We would pop in for a quick drink before heading on to our next destination. I think we had more fun pedaling than actually in the bars, but we were nice and liquored up so it made for general hilarity. Do this. Seriously. read more

We had a blast!!!! We went on a Saturday night from 8-10. The waiver and check in process was simple. They had the hopper waiting for us. It would be fun for any occasion... birthday, bachelorette party, bachelor party, friend reunion... whatever the occasion!! Kris was our driver and he was awesome!! We were able to play our own music and pick which bars we wanted to go to. We did it around the rino area. I will be doing this again!! read more

The instant I heard about this party on wheels, I knew it was a perfect fit for my friends. I mean, come on, if you're anything like me, the opportunity to get sauced on at a bar while pedaling around the streets of Denver doesn't present itself everyday so when my buddy tossed out the idea of renting the Pedal Hopper for a bachelor party, I was the first to RSVP. As reviewer, Lauren M, mentioned before, the driver whose name escapes me, was really fun and nice considering our state of, ahem, excitement. Half of the fun of the Pedal Hopper was partying with my friends. The other half was trying to get everyone to pedal as fast as we could to get this thing up to top speed. The third half of the fun was watching people drive by and seeing their dumbfounded faces while thinking to themselves, "Did I seriously just see 15 people pedaling a bar down the street, listening to 'The Final Countdown'?" Oh yeah, don't forget to bring a cooler, ice, and a bunch of plastic cups or nalgenes. read more

This was such an amazing night! The pilots we had were awesome! Molly made sure we had a plan, she kept us on track, and she kept us having fun! The music on the bike adds a special element too! We did this for a birthday party and it was a blast! This is a great event for all!! We will have to make this an annual summer tradition!! Thanks for making our night so special, fun and filled with laughs!! read more

Get a group of friends together for a fun time crawling thru downtown. 16 people (not everyone pedals) plus 2 hours equals a load of laughs. We did the LoDo district. Caution: not every bar stop will provide vendor discounts. Mile Hi Spirits is the only business that had specials. It was a great event and our driver Tim was just awesome! read more

We had a blast on this thing!! Our driver, Captain Dean, was so much fun and recommended some great places to stop! He also knew the perfect place to park the pedal hopper so we could get a group pic with a cute background (props to you Dean!!!) You get three stops and two of our favorites were The Refinery where they had pickle shots and other infused vodkas and Swanky's where they had these incredible alcoholic slushees! You can bring your own alcohol onboard, it just has to be in a water bottle (no beer cans allowed). It has an aux cord where you can hook up your own music too. The only damper on this day was it started to rain and the wind got our backs a bit wet, but we still stayed fairly dry while on the pedal hopper. Overall, this was a 5 star experience and we will definitely do it again if we are ever back in town! read more

This review is for the service I received trying to book two pedal bars for a corp event, I didn't actually make it far enough to book the actual rides. I called and spoke with Matt Rubin the general manager who seemed really nice and helpful on the phone. I asked if I could get a run down/ proposal via email based on everything we talked about as I needed to get it approved by management. I didn't need anything too complicated, just the cost breakdown, pricing options for setting up a personal pick up and added gratuity. I followed up our conversation with an email, as I know people are busy and I wanted to make sure he had everything we spoke about in an email. A few days went by and I did not get a response, so I followed up again. Matt responded and said he would get it to me that day. No proposal was sent. A couple more days went by and I sent another follow up email, Matt responded and again said he would have it to me that day.... but again nothing was sent. Thirteen days from my original email go by and still no proposal, so I send yet again another email Matt responds again.... that he will send it today. What do you think happened next? You guessed it... no proposal. We are now going on 21 days since I initially spoke to Matt and sent my first follow up email and 5 emails re-requesting a proposal and 2 voicemails and I still have not gotten the requested proposal. Pretty bummed about the service I received, that is not the way to treat potential customers. read more

Team Day Outing with Pedal Hopper!! Our Guide/ Driver, Diana, was fantastic! She was fun and kept our group entertained. This was a work event so our ride included lunch and axe throwing at Daggar. I have been on the pedal hopper uptown route twice! The first super fun birthday party sparked me to plan the second time for a bachelorette party! We decorated the whole hopper with underwear and were off! Our driver was very patient with 16 drunk ladies! The bride even accidentally left her phone on the hopper and it was found later by the guys and returned to us. I would definitely recommend the pedal hopper to ANYONE for ANY occasion! It is so much fun! read more

We partied on the pedal hopper for a friend's bachelorette party. Every single girl in the group had a wonderful time!! We cannot wait to bring along our husbands and do another group event with Pedal Hopper. I organized the event about 2 months in advance. Matt was very professional and communicated with me the entire time. He called me a week in advance to confirm as well as discuss possible bars for our group to visit. Once we met up for the party, Matt remembered exactly what we were looking for and knew all the great places for our group to visit. As the night went on, our group changed their minds and he was able to go with the flow and suggest new bars for us. I cannot recommend this enough! If you want a fun time, Pedal Hopper will not disappoint! read more

We had a blast with Eric! He kept the energy high and sang along to all of the bachelorette tunes we were playing. I believe the whole bike can hold 16 (with some people not pedaling). I would recommend picking up some gas stations slushies and making your own drinks to take on the bike. They really promote no alcohol containers with labels. (Eric mentioned to us that the Denver police have been known to enforce this.) You spend about 5 minutes pedaling between each bar. Prepare for a sore bottom the next morning though! Also, the drivers work on tips, so bring extra cash with you. ONLY downside and fair warning ... arrive to the LoDo garage with a friend if this is where your tour begins. There are homeless shelters right next to their garage and you may get hassled if you're there waiting alone. One of the guys that was in charge of bringing out the bikes didn't offer to stay with me while I waited for friends. As a female, I was hoping he would offer from a security safety standpoint. Luckily my friends showed up within 10 minutes and I was fine. read more

Had the best time on the Pedal Hopper for my husband's 30th Birthday this past weekend. Tim was our driver and he was punctual, professional but mostly just plain fun! He blasted the playlist we had made, sang along and helped us pick some really fun stops in the RiNo area. I could not recommend the Pedal Hopper more! read more

This was our first time using this company to do a bike booze cruise, last year we used Denver Booze Cruise. We were told to arrive at Stem Cider between 10:30/10:40, so we could meet our host/driver & sign waivers before the adventure began at 11:00am. We arrived on time, but no bike was in sight. Everyone asked I text the host to see what was up, so I did & Chadwick said he would be there in 15 mins (this was at 10:42) and that we should get a drink from Stem Cider while we waited. Well, they were closed, no big deal. We brought Jell-O shots of our own & began to indulge. Shortly thereafter a woman came out of the entrance from Stem Cider and in a very rude tone said "I'm going to need for you guys to take your Jell-O shots off of our property. If you're waiting for a Pedal hopper then you can wait by the curb". This is supposed to be the place where the adventure began & ended. Needless to say when we got off the bike a few hours later none of the 25 people I was with wanted to spend any money there. Anyway, Chadwick arrive right at 11am, we signed the waivers & shoved off. It was a bit annoying that he wasn't there when he was supposed to be, so we could leave on time. Even if we only left a few minutes late that still ate into our time with the bike, as the tour is only two hours long. Based on the website, I was under the impression we would be going to "The Refinery, The ViewHouse, The Gin Mill, 1up and the Matchbox". I guess I misread it though because we ended up at Improper City (this place has an awesome outdoor area), Retro Room (always a favorite) & Mile High Spirits (another favorite of mine) then headed back to Stem Cider. We were all encouraged to tip, which we did, we took a few pictures in front of the bike then that was that. read more

This is one of the newer traveling bike "bars" in Denver. Only problem is they do not yet have an open container license which means you can not have any adult beverages on board. The seats are not adjustable so if you are short like me a lot of chafing can occur. You basically start peddling on 29th between Larimer and Lawrence and head for downtown. You can stop at bars along the way. The bike itself draws a lot of attention and there is a sound system on board so you can blast some obnoxious tunes if you so please. It seats 20 and you get a sober driver. I expected a little more excitement for the price. read more

I would recommend this company based on customer service alone. Pedal Hopper upholds a level of not only professionalism but personal investment in the best customer experience. I had a booking glitch and it could not have been handled better by this company. I will ALWAYS recommend Pedal Hopper to all of my visitors because of the great people they hire! read more

My first experience with the pedal hopper was when they first did their pilot in Denver. It was a crazy blizzard out, and was a total blast. I knew then that they were on to something! My second time, I had reservations scheduled for around my birthday. Due to some last minute, serious health issues with one of my friends who planned to come, I had to cancel. I received a full refund and they were nice enough to give me some swag to take to my friend in the hospital. THAT is GREAT customer service. I'm excited to reschedule and give the festivities another go on the pedal hopper. Thank you for being considerate and so wonderful to work with. read more

Right up front, let me admit I never actually got to ride the party bike with my friends. The forecast in Denver is calling for a high of 5 degrees (!) today and we decided that is just too frikkin' cold to be outdoors for any extended period of time. I just wanted to write a review and thank Matt for showing me great customer service! read more

Our group took the S. Broadway/West Wash Park route for my best friend's going away party. I was a little apprehensive about the pedal hopper, but decided to go anyway. I'm so glad I did! This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had and I can't wait to do it again! We chose to rent it for two hours, which was plenty of time for drinking, making new friends and fun! We all shared a shot at the candlelight tavern, a cozy dive that the pedal hopper picks you up at. We then signed waivers and one person plugged their phone in. If you don't have tunes, no worries because the driver has music (he was amazing by the way!). There are seats with pedals, two seats under the tires without pedals, a drunk person bench in the back, and one person stands. Our group made a rule that whoever was the standee had to dance the whole ride to the next bar, which was a hit! The pedaling was a bit challenging yet lots of fun! Every bar we hit was a blast and had great deals. The hardest part of the night is climbing back onto the bike! Overall an amazing experience and I am sure the reactions from onlookers made their night too! read more

This was so fun! We had a big group of women and had so much fun. It was better then expected. Our tour guide was so nice and fun. They hold everything for you like purses, water, ect in the bar bike so you don't loose anything. They also have a hook up to plug your phone in to put your own music on. The only bad thing about this place was it was in a hard place to find and its by a homeless shelter that is kinda scary when your walking around finding this place. They need a big sign!! For our company party we decided to do the Pedal Hopper. We were not disappointed! We needed two for our group size of 18 people. Booking was simple. Michael, one of our Pilots contacted me by phone and text to keep me updated of all we needed to know, and to get any questions answered. Ted was our other Pilot. We got there and we were warmly welcomed. We peddled to 3 bars, and were surprised with discounts because we were with the Pedal Hoppers. Awesome! Pedaling was not as easy as I thought it would be! But it was very fun! I would do it again! read more

Terrible experience! I was wasted and fell off the bike, pretty funny though! When we got back to the ally where we started it was dark, in 5 points. But it worked out ok because I could pee in the ally. Smells like a urinal in the ally where you meet, make sure to hold your breath! read more

We all had an amazing experience with pedal Hopper for my friends birthday after checking out a few different experiences and tours for the night in Denver. The man seriously loves his tequila and we did a tequila and Margarita tour of Lodo for his big day. The experience was super fun and unique. The tunes we're rocking all night with the AUX and our pilot did a wonderful job of keeping us safe on a busy rainy night in the downtown. Our pilot was super helpful friendly and the customer service was on point for the whole experience. We had way more fun than if we had just gone to one place and spent a more traditional birthday. A few of our team had a little trouble pedaling but we swapped them out for the reserves and peddled our way back into the night. Just make sure you try and book early to get the right night you want for the party on wheels. Overall it was one of the best nights and funnest birthdays I've attended downtown since living in Colorado! Cheers and thanks for making the night a real blast we won't forget. read more

We did this for a friend's birthday and it was a blast!! We had a great time Pedal Hopping in Wash Park. It was a rolling party. We took out the pedal hopper yesterday for our semi-annual group trip and it was a complete blast. Our driver was friendly, fun and was more than helpful to pick out some bars for us since we did not select any prior. Our driver also helped out with some ridiculously fun pictures. We pedaled through Wash Park which was a bit more relaxed than the downtown route, but still just as fun and maybe a little safer without all the traffic. Some reviewers on Yelp are not thrilled about the Pedal Hopper restricting alcohol, but that really is an issue with the city and not the bike. Other party bikes have the same restrictions. What separates the Pedal Hopper from other party bike companies is the quality of equipment (no broken seats, chains) and the friendly staff. Some recommendations for any future groups: - Dress up in some costumes - it's something we forgot about and will be doing in the future. It adds to the fun. - Make a playlist - Bring a good crew of people! read more
