bus was supposed to depart from fire on the mountain at 6:45 pm but we didn't even get picked up until a few minutes after 7. i tried to call customer service and they were rude and wouldn't give me any updates besides "the bus is on the way". they claimed the start time for the show changed and that's why they were late but the start time had been the same since the show was announced months ago. for $35 a person i was expecting an actual party bus or at the least a coach type bus, not a f***ing school bus with a giant speaker inside where all they played was shitty rave music. waste of time and money, we were late to the show and then he waited an extra 15 minutes for people who were late coming out of the show so we didn't get back to three dogs tavern until 1:45 in the morning. absolutely ridiculous experience, will never be using this service again i'll just pay the extra money for an uber read more

Scheduled bus to show for my wife and I. We were headed to Red Rocks. We were at a cheeba hut for our pick up. Not Bus to Shows fault but holy moly were the cheeba hut workers rude. They must hate the Bus to Show people. I don't know what's wrong with buying lunch and a couple beers. Long story short - Bus to Show never Showed. They left like 20 people without a ride to the show. We called them and they never turned around to get us. Then we all called and they didn't pick up until the 10th person called them. They said they would refund our Uber but they never did. Don't waste your money with these fools. read more

Bus to show was a cheaper option to get to Red Rocks and came recommended by a lot of people. It was pretty easy finding it at the pick up (though they didn't communicate where/when the bus would show up and park). Once we arrived at Red Rocks we were told the bus would be in the same spot if anyone needed to return early. We left as the show was ending and couldn't find the bus anywhere, tried calling the company, and it ended up picking us up right as it was exiting the parking lot because they happened to see us standing there. I'm pretty sure we would've just been left there had they not seen us. I feel like this service could be really great with just a little more communication like getting everyone's cell numbers in a group text and send updates on bus location and last call departures. read more

I must begin this review by stating that I have had a good experience using the BTS from Boulder to Red Rocks for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes last summer (07/11/13). Unfortunately the unpleasant experience far outweighed and overshadowed my first experience. As I was aware of construction up on the hill, particularly in the vicinity of where the BTS bus picks up I posted to the BTS Facebook wall to confirm where the pick up was (within a day or 2 of the event). I never received or noted a response. The day of 08/04/13 I reported up to the hill for a quick bite to eat and to meet up with the friend I was attending the show with (Steve Miller & The Doobie Brothers). Though there was no bus in site we soon found others also excitedly awaiting the bus (outside the 711). As the time ticked by we became more and more nervous that either we were at the wrong pick up spot, or worse the bus was not coming. Several of the others with tickets for Bus to Show (BTS) began calling the BTS headquarters. Finally someone was able to get through. Come to find out the bus was not coming and we would be refunded. So here we all are standing on the street corner excited and ready for the show. To drive to the show at that point in 5 or so cars would be near impossible with the traffic, not to mention we were already in danger of missing the opening acts. Thankfully someone was able to book us a van (about $40/pp) & we made it to Red Rocks in time to catch some of the show. 303LimoVan.com was fantastic! The driver was very courteous, the van was stocked with brewskis, and there was a bathroom on board (303LimoVan.com) Following the show I did indeed receive a refund but no apology & no offer for a complimentary ride. For myself and the others a complimentary ride and apology email would have made all the difference. When I saw a BTS booth on CU campus I approached and talked through my experience. They were not particularly apologetic or concerned. Hopefully there will be a turn over in management as the customer service is inadequate particularly for this kind of service. As the service is inconsistent and unreliable I do not recommend booking transportation through Bust to Show. **updated review 08/07/14** After receiving a last minute invite to Foster the People I decided to give BTS another go. It was my friend's first experience going to Red Rocks and I wanted the stress of driving to/from to not counter in on his first adventure. We reported to Cheba Hut about 15-20 minutes before bus departure and there was no bus in sight. I naturally became nervous that again the bus would not show. The folks at Cheba Hut were super comforting and offered to text the driver if he/she didn't arrive soon. Thankfully the bus arrived just before my friend's sandwich was ready. Our driver was very personable, and approachable. I really appreciated that he played us some music before take off and then allowed us to DJ on the ride to Red Rocks. There were only about 15 passengers so the ride was relaxing yet fun. I really appreciated the bus stopping at Will Call so we could get our tickets before proceeding to the parking area. The bus was right where we left it following the show. My friend and I felt very safe driving with Matty and hope that if I use this service again he will be or driver. I've increased my ratings by 2 stars for an awesome driver and for the bus not being cancelled with so few passengers. read more

I decided to try Bus To Show to take my friend to her first Red Rocks concert. Sadly, it was more like "Bus No Show" - we waiting over 45 minutes at the Capitol Hill Cheba Hut and the bus never arrived. We had to take a pricey Uber to make the show. I received an email much later that night announcing that the bus actually never showed up. They were very apologetic and did offer to take people home from the concert which was nice. Still waiting on word of a refund. Seems like this is an outlier situation but I'm not sure I'd take the risk in the future. read more

Was excited to find affordable transportation to Red Rocks for a concert when I was staying in Denver. Please note that this is basically a party bus - bring drinks if you want! The bus dropped us off in a lower lot and that is also where it waited to pick us back up. The bus will leave without you if you don't come back to it within a certain amount of time of the show ending, which is reasonable. But this also means that you will be one of the last ones out of Red Rocks - so be patient! My only complaint is that some of the bus windows would not stay shut. This was problematic because it was 50 degrees outside and we were driving down the expressway with cold wind blasting at us. It really made for a miserable ride home. Otherwise, I would recommend Bus to Show as a convenient way to get to and from Red Rocks! read more

Bus To Show - Community Service/Non-Profit Near Me

I've ridden with them three times now and for the most part the service is a good one (keeps those of us who should not be driving off the road, picks up in a reasonable place, and the drivers seem easygoing and responsible). I have only one complaint, and that is that they don't seem to check who should or should not be on the bus on the way back from Red Rocks. Either that or they don't give any real thought to the total number of people they need to deliver back. I and at least 10 other people had to stand in the aisle for the entire ride back (school buses were not designed for this!) last weekend because (as far as I could tell) only two buses were scheduled to return to Boulder. There were multiple rows in which three people were crammed onto a two-person seat. If you pay for a seat, I think you should be provided with one. read more

Just got in from Austin for Euphoria Music Festival, and had a blast!! Bus to Show was amazing, and incredibly cheap! We had a pick-up time of 10am at Cheba Hut on Champa, and everything went off without a hitch. The bus pulled up directly in front of Cheba Hut, and the driver got off to help us load our bags. Even dropping us each off at our respective homes on the trip back! Nice!! The drive to Austin was relaxing; we each got to plug our phones into the auxiliary port on the huge speaker mounted near the front of the bus and be our own DJs, and there was even a charging strip for our phones! The drivers also made it a point to stop often enough for everyone's comfort (bathroom breaks, meals, etc.) Everything from the service to the cost of the trip was 5 stars! The reason for the subtraction of a star is because one of the drivers was smoking cigarettes on the bus, even after I made mention that I am allergic. I also didn't want myself and all of my things to smell like smoke. That's really the only thing I feel could use improvement :) read more

So I'm in my mid 30s- I was recommended this trip by another tour company. I didn't like it but you need to know what to expect to appreciate it. This is definitely a party bus for teens to early 20s. You will never feel older if you are beyond that age group. It's straight up school bus, no A.C, windows down, loud party music all the way to Red Rocks. If I were 18- 20, I'd probably love it! If you are on the party train, you will love this. The kids are friendly and fun! But if you are sober and looking for A.C and an organized event, move along. The person scanning tickets was one poor woman and all the people just circled her and whoever came first got a wrist band. It was a free for all and I can say this was the most frustrating part beyond waiting 30-60 minutes before the scheduled time at a sandwich shop because the email said you should show up early just in case they decided to leave and you would miss the bus. Bottom line- if you are looking to party and get basic- this is fun- I have stories to tell! But if you are looking for an organized event that shows up on time and you know exact details- just get an Uber/lyft because you will dislike this and the cost differential is not worth it. I decided to leave the concert early and get a lyft/Uber because I didn't want to ride back with drunk/high 'youths' just to save a few bucks. I would not do this again. EVER. This review could have gone very differently here is the story of my first experience with Bus To Show. The friendship and I all got tickets for the bus to show for Bassnecter at Red Rocks ($27 round trip - hell yeah!). The instructions are to meet at the parking lot across from Tom's Diner around 4:30 so they can leave at 5, this is close to my apartment so we can cheaply pregame-hell yeah. We show up around 4:45..no bus..no one waiting..we had been left - hell no! We jump on their website to try and get to the bottom of what had happened. The bus left early and it seemed we were SOL. That means 9 people (all had been drinking) all had paid for the service were now going to need to find another way to and from Red Rocks? Quite a stiff favor to ask on Saturday night and a hefty taxi bill if not. We continue to call the service and then the clouds broke (literally too it was supposed to rain all night). After the bus dropped off the initial group he came all the way back and picked us up and took us to Red Rocks! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This service is quite cool and quite simple. You take an old school bus, throw excited drunk bass heads and a stereo on board. Take them to the show. Everyone giggles and no one gets DUIs. I am still so surprised they came back for us and I hope they know how grateful we all were. Definitely will use this service again! read more

Awesome service and by far the most convenient way to get to Red Rocks! I love that they are a nonprofit just to help people get to and from shows safely. We left downtown at 5 on the dot and were standing in line at the venue by 5:30, so we got right in when the gates opened and were able to grab seats down front. Our drivers Drake and Conrad were both great and made the ride enjoyable. Good vibes from all the passengers too. The bus left 30 minutes after the music ended, which was a comfortable amount of time to walk out and get down to the lot where it was parked. They had the wrong time posted on their website, and the bus was packed, way over capacity. People were standing in the aisles and falling on each other. It didn't feel safe at all. Besides that, the crowd on the bus just wasn't my scene. On the way home it wasn't just a boisterous group, it felt like every single person (besides us) was completely wasted, yelling, and being ridiculous. I watched a girl pour beer into her boyfriend's mouth; he appeared to be already passed out. There's basically not a way to get to Red Rocks that is inexpensive, convenient, and fast. Took bus to show for the One Republic concert. Toni was an awesome driver letting my daughter play her music playlist and we were able to have a few beverages on the way to concert. Made new friends ion the bus from other states and arrived in plenty of time for the show . Don't be afraid of other negative reviews. We used Bus To Show to get to the Disco Biscuit show in Broomfield. It was pretty cheap - $20 round trip. The only complaint we had is that the bus left waaayyy too early to get to the show. The bus was leaving at 6pm, and we didn't want to get there until at least 9pm. So we wound up ordering separate transportation to get to the show later, but took the bus home. We understand that some people want to get there early for the openers, but it would have been nice if there were multiple departure times. After the show, we did get a bit lost looking for the bus, but our friend had the driver's cell phone and just kept calling the driver for directions until we found the bus. He even came walking towards us to find us which was helpful. As far as the bus goes, it's basically anything goes. Plus the driver was super friendly and happy to be driving a bunch of drunk people around, which I find unusual. Haha. He even offered to drop us off at our hotel which was a few blocks away from Tom's Diner so we didn't have to worry about catching a cab for the 8 of us that were in our group. Definitely a great service and would recommend to use it in the Denver area. I would suggest saving the driver's cell phone in case there are any issues finding the bus, etc. read more

I called to see if i could still purchase a last minute ticket to a show and that I would be a few minutes late which they said i could. I scrambled to get there and the bus had left, I had just spent $50 for nothing in 10 minutes. No refund because it was after the bus left, could have told me that you know 10 minutes before when he told me to buy them. Never again. read more

Bus to Show is an outstanding service. Keep in mind they generally cater to a younger audience, so expect some parting on the bus (which is why its so fun). My Gf and I left from Boulder,Co @ the Cheba Hut pickup. We were on the 2nd to last bus to leave. We walked all the way to the back and sat on the right. We put our black cooler with 8 Stellas, 2 RedBulls, and some snacks behind the back right seat. Before we left the Boulder, CO driver said we will be picking you up in the Lower South Lot, Same Place Same Bus. When we got to Red Rocks for Griz Night 2, we parked next to the another bus2show. Everything was great, people off boarded, we finished our beer, and decided we needed to use the restroom real quick before the show. My GF and I stood in line for the bathroom, which took approximately 20 minutes and went to return to the bus to have another beer / snacks before the concert. The bus was no where to be found...we walked around looking where we thought the bus to be for about 10 minutes before one of your representatives from bus2show tried to help us find our bus. After trying for a few minutes, he stated that there was some sort of emergency happened and they needed to take the bus somewhere. We went into the concert and came out...we had to ride an alternate bus home w/o our personal belongings that we had planned on having on the way home. The main issue that we had was that it was simply 20 minutes of us being gone, there was no courtesy as far as letting us know the bus was going to be leaving, and the driver didn't even check his vehicle / plan with another Boulder bound driver to move our stuff. I feel like a simple moving of the personal property or taking the numbers of people to inform them they would be moving would have been the professional thing to do. When we first got on the bus the driver quieted everyone down, introduced himself, and said we will be meeting in the same bus @ the lower south lot. So we obviously were confused when we came back a mere 20 minutes later to our stuff being gone. I took the bus2show the night before and had a much better experience. I WILL NEVER BE TAKING BUS2SHOW to ANOTHER event again. I wouldn't recommend taking one with their current practices, they either took the alcohol inside it or someone else did. Either way there needs to be a better foundation of rules in place as when I take bus2show I am doing so for the ability to have an enjoyable time on the way, find my bus home, and have my personal belongings on the way home. My boyfriend and I recently visited Denver for our first time. In this visit, was an Old Crow Medicine Show concert at Red Rocks. We bought our tickets to the concert very last minute. We then found out that there are no public transportation options to Red Rocks which was a problem as we did not have access to a vehicle during our visit and especially did not want to drive to the show as we intended on having a few drinks. This is where the beauty of Bus To Show comes in. My friend in Denver recommend I look into this service. We did, but we did too late. When we tried to purchase a ticket to the show on the day of the show upon our arrival to Denver from Philly, only 1 ticket was available to purchase and there were two of us. I emailed the organization desperately pleading to see if there was anything they could do for us naive out of towners, and they beyond delivered. From the second they received my email, these guys went above and beyond. They were emailing me back and calling me, and provided the best customer service I may have ever received. Long story short, they saved our butts and somehow got two spots for us on the bus from Denver to Red Rocks. Since it was our first time ever seeing a show at Red Rocks, they warned us that it would be a religious experience. They were right. It truly was. This organization was awesome as it allowed us to get to meet some local people, provided salvation when it began hailing before the concert, and got us safely to and from Red Rocks for an incredibly reasonable price that additionally supports a nonprofit organization. Again, the guy who talked to me (I believe his name was Brett), really went above and beyond in helping us through the process and making sure they got us on that bus. We had some people on the bus ask us when they found out we were from Philly how we found out about the bus as it was almost like a speakeasy of sorts in Colorado. Thankfully, this option exists otherwise I'm not sure how we would have been able to get to Red Rocks. This is a fantastic way to see a show and is highly recommended and we can't thank them enough for getting us on that bus so last minute before the show and making our trip to Colorado! read more

This service was PERFECT! My boyfriend and I traveled to Denver to see a show at Red Rocks and this was an affordable, safe and FUN solution to getting us there and back safely. I don't understand how you aren't allowed to smoke (cigarettes) in an public spaces like restaurants and even outdoor spaces, but you can on this bus? It also wasn't just something someone was doing, but it was explicitly stated by the driver that it was fine. This really needs to be mentioned on the website, so people can avoid taking this bus, especially as opening the windows isn't always a viable option when it is snowing and cold outside. One of the best rides to a concert I've ever experienced. I recommend taking this option to any Red Rocks concerts. The staff is insanely polite, organized, and nice. The buses are the coolest painted school busses I've ever seen. You are permitted to do anything you would like while in the bus except throwing anything out the window. Yesterday, I used Bus To Show for the first and probably last time. The bad experience started with checking in: it was approx 100 degrees, there was a line of people waiting to sign in, and only one person giving out wristbands. For unknown reasons, some people would take 3+ minutes to sign in (it took my bf & I about 15 seconds). There were people bluntly cutting the line from the side, and nobody addressed it. The bus ended up leaving 20 minutes after the scheduled departure time. Not a big deal, honestly. just stating the fact. On the way back, the driver decided to blast the music. It's a party bus, I get it. But we just came back from a loud concert. And the music playing in the bus was so loud, that everybody else on the bus had to pretty much scream to be heard - was that volume really necessary? However the biggest letdown was when people started smoking cigarettes on the bus. If you look at this company's website, they specifically say that cigarette smoking will not be allowed. It was absolutely disgusting. And also - it was very cold, because the entire back portion of the bus decided to roll their windows down. I have minor tobacco smoke allergy, and it was an extremely unpleasant ride back. Not to mention - nobody should be forced to breath in cigarette smoke in tight enclosed space, ew. What I realized is that you get exactly what you pay for: $20 to ride with teenagers who still consider drinking and smoking in public places a novelty. So if you are a hippy, a college kid or just a person who's down to get trashed before the concert even starts - you will be alright on this bus. If you're like me - someone who prefers getting drunk in civilized manner and not getting your clothing burned by cigarette ashes while listening to conversations that mostly consist of the word 'fuck" and its variations - stay away. read more

I used Bus To Show to go to red rocks for concert. The music was pretty loud. There was only one speaker in the front. It would've been better if they had more than one speaker so I didn't have to be so loud in the front. The bus was pretty dirty it did not look like it had been cleaned in a while. Also there was a guy who lit up a cigarette it made the whole bus smell it was pretty unpleasant. I asked them to put it out but he did not. I got a little bit of a headache and felt a little sick. I asked the driver if you were allowed to smoke cigarettes on the bus and she said yes. My friend said he had been previously on the bus and they did not allow cigarette smoking. It was a pretty terrible ride going there. So I used Uber to go home afterwards. Instead of taking the bus back. I would not recommend them for anyone who is sensitive to smoke or For kids. read more

This is an excellent concept and I hope these dudes are getting compensation and proper support from the necessary outlets. It is so easy to log on to a website, secure a seat, and know that you and all of your friends will safely travel there and back. They have even refunded me for tickets I purchased when I had friends back out. Honestly, the bad reviews on here are mostly ridiculous. Some people are losing sight of the point of this service, which is to keep drunk people off the roads in a cheap and reasonable way. Whining that you couldn't pick the time at which you were dropped off, or that there was construction on the roads, or that other people on the bus were drunk and noisy, are just petty, and you sound like small children. Fine, take a 70$ cab ride if that is how you feel. Personally, I feel really grateful for these guys. As someone who hits up Red Rocks 10+ times a summer, this service feels straight from the concert god herself. I am happy to get there earlier than later, pack a goodie bag to keep myself entertained, and am mature enough to allow others their good time without letting it infringe on mine. So it goes. This organization is a total shitshow. There's a reason this shuttle is half the price of the other company that shuttles people to red rocks... It will only get you halfway there. From the minute we arrived at the pickup stop, it was mass confusion-- there were a ton of people standing in line outside cheba hut waiting to board, but the people in charge of checking everyone in were just standing there, not making any announcement of the fact that they were checking people in. Once we actually got on the grimy old school bus, we sat there waiting way past our departure time while a nearby passenger lit up a cigarette INSIDE THE PARKED BUS. What year is it?! I also heard someone behind me bragging to their friends that they got on the bus without buying a ticket. So glad I paid $50 for my friend and my tickets. Somewhat shockingly, the bus did manage to get us to red rocks (we heard a passenger behind us describing how his last "bus to show" broke down 3 times on the way there). After the show, we went directly to where our bus was picking up and sat there forever again, but after everyone had loaded up, they announced that this bus wasn't starting, so everyone had to get back off that bus and board another one. The second bus barely made it out of the venue, and then immediately broke down on the 70 freeway, so another bus pulled up behind us and we were all instructed to get on that. Super safe! I love standing around on the side of the freeway at 2am. Once we had boarded our THIRD bus home, the driver told us it was too crowded and we should get off because there was another bus right behind this one, so we did. But then there was NO BUS. So everyone was either left standing on the side of the road or got back on the broken down bus, when that bus driver informed everyone that all the other buses were on their way to other destinations and they didn't know how long it would be until one could come get us. At this point it was 2am and we were so over the disorganization/lack of communication throughout the whole day that we didn't even trust whether another bus would be sent, so we called a Lyft all the way home to Denver like we should have just done in the first place. I reached out to their customer service department to request a refund since we ended up paying for another ride anyways, and their solution was to offer me a discount code on my next "bus to show" ride (as if I would EVER subject myself to this again!!). Moral of the story = this "nonprofit" might offer a cheaper ride, but you will pay for it with your time, energy, and emotions. read more

We Almost Died. I was riding the 6pm bus to Red Rocks for the Global Dub Fest Show on May 16th, 2014 and the bus driver fell asleep at the wheel! No joke, we had to yell at him and wake him up before the bus crashed. I don't even think the people in the back noticed. Crazy experience! Ruined my night and couldn't enjoy the concert. My friends and I had to find another way home, We did not feel safe using this service and you shouldn't either. We talked to the bus driver and he said he had a long day... The bus was on time and picked 7 of us up in Fort Collins, but then we had to stop in Longmont for 5 more AND boulder for a total of 33 people on a bus with a max cap of 30! People were standing and sitting on the floor and it was not a comfortable ride. Plus it took us over 3 hrs to get there and over 3 back because of all the stops, so we had no time in the lot before the show. I don't know why they didn't use another bus for Boulder making it a legal ride with everyone in a seat and a shorter ride with more time to enjoy Red Rocks. Our driver Pat was very accommodating and friendly and was the highlight of our trip, but I will not by using this service anymore because at that price it's really not worth it. Too long on a crowded bus which was over capacity. Unsafe and not legal. read more
