My husband's pride and joy (just about) is his mountain bike. He's taken it to several bike shops and, although they've been great, he is so much happier with Pedal Barn Bikes! They are located out in Carbon Canyon in a quaint little shop next to a coffee cafe. He's been dealing mostly with Mike. Great communication, reasonable prices and extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Very thorough in his work. You can tell that Mike doesn't just have a "job" here, he's got a passion here! I've been to Pedal Barn a couple of times and I completely agree. They've got parts and used bikes, and supplies and just a whole room of all sorts of things. Very rustic. What a cool place to buy a bike or get it repaired...We were enjoying our coffee from Carbon Canyon Coffee which is next door to this bike shop and decided to look inside the store.. The two guys who were working at the shop were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.. I'd highly recommend them especially if you live in the Chino Hills or Brea area... It's so worth the drive especially since you can grab a cup of coffee next door and visit the bike shop too.. read more

The Pedal Barn is the best bike shop around OC. Mike was very helpful with an older Cannondale that I brought in for repair. He brought it back to life with brand new tubes and cleaned it up well with a tune-up! He also did a fantastic job with completely reinstalling my shifters along with brand new cables. The cost for the repairs were really fair as well, knowing he had to find replacements for parts that were no longer available due to the age of the bike. I also want to shout out Cindy for doing such a great job with the bar tape. I definitely recommend this bike shop to everyone and will be coming back when a tune-up is needed! read more

Wooow!! I did not expect to be helped like I did today when I walked it. Let me start by saying Mike was so informative and helpful it was an amazing experience to be helped by him. We walked in looking for my first bike (hybrid). He didn't make us feel rushed, he gave us his full attention. I purchased a road bike during covid from this shop and I love everything about the people who run/work here! They go above and beyond helping any novel cyclist to become comfortable with cycling. They host weekend rides, help you learn to transition into clip-in shoes, and will help adjust your bike or service it as needed! GREAT GREAT Bike Shop! After visiting several shops in Orange County, I've found the only Bike Shop I will ever need. Mike is the best! He helped me find the right bike for me along with everything else I may need. I am extremely happy with my new Giant Talon bike and trainer. Pricing was great and service was amazing. Robert Mike and Cindy are the most pleasant and amazing people anywhere. They took in my trike, something I don't think they even normally work on and fixed Neil perfect with new pedals, riding shoes etc. it stop on a dime now and runs smooth aas butter Can't wait to return. The guys at Pedal Barn have truly been a blessing in my life. Cindy, Mike, and Robert have always been there to provide me with excellent service and parts since late 2019. I've known Cindy A. for almost 10 years since she was at Empire Bikes in Chino Hills. It was a pleasant surprise when I learned that she had opened her own shop closer to my home in Fullerton. She continues to provide me with excellent sales knowledge, communication, and competitive pricing. Mike C. has kept both my Giant TCR and TCX in top-notch condition and has always gone above and beyond to make sure I'm satisfied. With his machining background and decades-long service expertise, I wouldn't trust my bikes to anybody else. I attribute my roughly 8000 cycling miles per year to Mike and his knowledge and care. As someone who has learned the hard way the value of trustworthy bike service and sales, I cannot recommend Pedal Barn any higher! read more

Looks bigger than it really is from outside. Found it during a bike fit with Mike McKovich. Dude is a master. Loved him. Anyway. The shop is decent. They have a nice variety of things but it does feel a little disorganized and cluttered. I can tell they focus a lot on bike repairs / maintenance which is great. I was looking for a computer but they didn't have any Garmin in stock. Also looking for HR chest strap but they didn't have that either . Looked for a bike rack but they didn't have that either. :( oh well. Was ready to buy all that on the spot . Overall decent spot. read more

Super cool shop and great service. Giant authorized dealer as well. Been here 3-4 times to just purchase my cycling necessities (co2, gels, tire sealant, chain lube,etc), and recently decided to have my bike fully serviced/tuned here due to the good recommendations I've heard from others that are regulars here. I live in Chino, and there are a few shops around here that I could go to but I definitely prefer making the trek here for any of my repair or warranty needs. read more

In my over a decade of using Yelp, this is only my second review I have ever posted. After going through two other local bike shops and finding out neither of them really cared about their work or their customer, I came across some reviews about Pedal Barn Bikes and decided to take my old specialized rockhopper there. This is a sweet, family-business environment with an old-fashioned "it's done on a handshake" atmosphere- I have now had three of family's mountain bikes worked on by Mr. Mike Cole and his young apprentice. Each time, they fixed exactly the problems that I had taken the bikes in for. So down to earth and honest.. and it is plainly obvious that they genuinely care about the quality of their own work, be the bikes worth thousands of dollars or used bikes like ours. The prices they charged were so beyond reasonable, at times I actually felt bad that I wasn't paying them enough for the good work they have done for us. We as a family are just getting into mountain biking- myself and our two young boys are constantly tinkering, upgrading, and swapping bikes- we really needed a good, honest bike shop for our family to rely on, and Pedal Barn Bikes is the one for our family!! While it's probably a bad idea to tell everyone about this hidden gem (because they may get too busy, when they already seen to have more than enough work!), it would be wrong of me to not give credit where credit is due. We all know a good and honest mechanic shop is a hard find.. turns out a good bike shop is even harder to find. Thank the LORD for Pedal Barn Bikes! This is a great bike place for all families to bring their bikes to get fixed or repaired! The owner assembled my new "Big Ripper" 2020 model,adjusted the brakes, and made sure that everything was perfect! he did a great job and my bike looks and rides AWESOME!! Pedal Barn Bikes is a gem, a bit hidden inside Carbon Canyon, but also next to a cool coffee shop, (when there opened). Mike is one of the best mechanics in the business, takes the time to explain what may be the issues on your bike, and gives options for repairs. He's meticulous and they stand by their work. Cindy is also very helpful on bikes and gear, providing a good price on a new Giant Trance, (aluminum) mt bike, which I've had almost no issues with after a year of riding. The place is a bit cluttered, but they still have bikes, parts & accessories, even some used gear priced well. It's still tough for shops to get the inventory they would like & need, but they'll do they best to provide it. As mentioned in other reviews, you could even ride right from the shop to a couple trails, but you will begin climbing right on of the gate. There generally open Thur-Sun. Btw, the owners & Mike all ride at a high level, and have decades of experience. Highly recommend this shop. read more

I've been an avid cyclist (road and mountain) for over thirty years and have been to many different bike shops. Pedal Barn is by far one of the best. I've had both my road and mountain bike serviced here and the work has been top notch. Mike has not only serviced my bikes but he's given me advice on upgrades that have reinvigorated my riding. I bought my son his dream mountain bike here and Rob(owner) took the time to set it up perfectly to him. Rob has even taken the time on numerous occasions to teach my son about bike repairs, maintenance, and upgrades. What I like best is the friendliness and helpfulness that we get whenever my son and I stop in. Pedal Barn is a family owned shop that cares about its customers and it shows. I've sent many friends here and all have been very happy. They are definitely my go to shop and I highly recommend them. read more

Great local bike shop! I ride CHSP occasionally and decided to drop by on the way to the trail to have my new handlebars cut down to the appropriate size. Mike the mechanic is awesome and took care if it in a few minutes. My dropper post was a bit sticky and he took care of that as well. Its guys and gals like Mike that make a local shop great. Love the small town feel of this LBS and will definitely be coming back. Handlebar feels perfect and the dropper post is working like a charm. I forget how fast the thing pops up and smacks me where the sun dont shine! read more

Mike was able to help me out right when I called. I dropped off a starter bike I had just bought of craigslist that was in mid level condition. Mike cleaned everything up for me, replaced parts that need replacing and called me back in one day to let me know my bike was ready to rock! When I came by to pick it up he and his staff showed me everything they had done along with giving me recommendations on things I should look for in my next bike. They even let me test drive their higher end bikes! Super friendly. Great prices. Highly informative. I will definitely be returning here when I can afford to upgrade to a newer model mountain bike. Had such a great experience with PB. I ran into a cleat issue after coming out of CHSP and just happened to be stuck on Carbon Cyn. and lo and behold, saw a bike shop. Mike was kind enough to repair my issue and saved my ride. Ended up buying a few items and took his recommendation on some new chain lube. That ended up being the best lube I've ever used. Win win! read more

I'm a bike novice, had an issue with the pump fixture not fitting my pump. Took the bike in, Mike helped me out immediately, got the tires pumped up and gave me the valve adjustment I needed to be able to pump the tires in the future. This review should have been written a long time ago. Pedal Barn is a fantastic family owned business. You can almost always find the owners there to talk to during business hours and their mechanic, Mike, is one of the best in the business. Being able to go on rides straight from the shop is a huge bonus too. I have been able to test my bike setups out on local trails and come right back to the shop for adjustments if needed. The tire and tube was pierced by what looked like a thorn? My tire/tube weren't flat when I took it in or when I last rode it. No way to know when it truly was damaged. But not happy about having a flat right after it was tuned up and the I have to do my own maintenance. What's the point of even paying for them to tune up my bike? Not sure if I will come back in the future honestly

This is where the policy feels "sneaky." I discovered there is a 15% restocking fee, plus additional charges if the bike has been removed from the box or ridden. That 15% fee more than covers the cost of shipping and makes the "hassle-free" marketing feel very misleading. Final Verdict: I sent two follow-up emails pleading my case and have since been completely ghosted by their team. No email after a week, so I emailed to ask the status and was told the main extra (shock absorber post) was being shipped there and would arrive within a week, and asked me to pick it up and bring it back in when the part arrived. I wrote back that I don't drive unless I have to (medical), have never ridden an e-bike so would be transporting it home to learn to ride it, and so asked him to store it until the part was in and it was a full build. Scott accommodated, and I got a fully built PERFECT bike for me yesterday. Scott helped me load it into my SUV (a tight fit, so grateful for his help) and I shook his hand. Got it home, unloaded it, and am more than excited to learn a new healthy habit. Thank you, Scott!
