Lyn is a great masseuse. She will vary it according to what you need, and if you have some major damage you need to fix, she will get to it. She can do any type of massage you'd like, but she's great at therapy to repair damage. Ask her about doing a prepaid long term monthly deal and do once or twice a week massages. I am glad I did not read the reviews before I bought the groupon for the tandem massage because the negative ones might have dissuaded me from purchasing it and I would have missed the most magnificent massage of my life so far! There was some communication (texts and phone) before my appt regarding expiration of groupon - it was not expired - but Lyn was obviously concerned but was neither rude nor unpleasant. When I arrived at the appt she asked about it again and also wanted to be clear that I understood that gratuity was to be based on the entire cost of massage and not on what I paid for the groupon. She clearly has had some pretty bad experiences. This did not put me off at all - she runs a business and I knew I would have 2 therapists working on me for an hour and she has to pay the 2nd therapist. Truly, the massage was amazing. Their touch was perfect. She/they recognized areas of problems that I have, that I hadn't mentioned. Because they worked in tandem, they were able to spend a lot of time on my feet and hands, aas well as the rest of my body. I had thoughts of what it would be like to be in heaven while I was being massaged! At the end, I told Lyn that I was so glad she had offered the groupon deal because I would never have spent money for a tandem massage for myself but now I am trying to figure out when I can go again! I purchased a massage for my husband prior to leaving this first appt. (Lyn told me that Groupon pays the business only 50% of what the groupon costs. So, she receives only $45 for a tandem massage which is why she makes it clear that the gratuity is based on her usual fee. And from that $45, she pays the 2nd masseuse - so the tip really matters.) I went to Lyn on Friday of the labor day weekend. We were going out of town and I had a horrible tension headache that radiated to my neck, shoulders and even my sinuses. I didn't want to be out of town feeling soo miserable. Lyn was able to accommodate me and knew exactly hie to help my headache. She also gave me advice on how to care for myself at home and when I realized I forgot to bring cash to pay for my appointment, she was accommodating and made other arrangements. By the next day my pain was greatly diminished and in got better over the next few days. It does cost more than a typical massage at a Chinese place but for me, it was worth it. I can not believe how unprofessional Lyn is. First I tried to make an appointment for a couples massage and had to wait for three weeks. During those three weeks she felt the need to text me and remind me to tip her based off her regular charge and not the amount that was paid for the Groupon & that there was a $25 fee for it being a couples massage. She later sent me another text asking when my appointment was, I reminded her and she again reminded me of the tip and the $25 fee. When I arrived to my appointment, I saw that the beds were in 2 separate rooms. I was under the impression that a "couples massage" was 2 people that are massaged in the same room, at the same time, by 2 different therapists. When it was time to pay, she never brought up the $25 fee and I assumed it was because she couldn't get it together. Two hours after my appointment she sent me another text asking for $35 because she forgot to collect it when I was there. I called her out on the $10 difference & there was nothing further. Now, 3 weeks later... She sends me a text after 10pm on a Sunday night asking me to deliver the money for the couple's fee. I informed her that I thought she didn't charge me at the time because we were in different rooms and that it was interesting that she now wanted more money. She responded with some random crap then wrote, "Lose my number." After that she sent anther text cursing, stating she could quote one price and charge more because it was her business and then called my mother and me, "real winners" which obviously translates to "losers" with her sarcasm. Like some others, I tried Lyn as a LivingSocial deal. Someone said she was not "a granola, all alternative, weird psychic energy kind of therapist." I'm actually pretty comfortable with that sort, and Lyn doesn't come across that way; she's pretty high-energy. Apparently some people don't like the online scheduling, but it worked fine for me, and I even used it to re-schedule my appointment without any trouble. When we got started, Lyn informed me that my LivingSocial massage was not in the Deep Tissue category (which costs more, as you can see on her site), but that for a very small price I could upgrade, which i did, as my body needed serious work. In short, it's one of the best massages I've ever had. She didn't waste a single moment. Usually I find that people hit some spots that are good, but are sometimes working on muscles that aren't doing that much for me, or not using the right pressure. It was probably partly because my body was such a wreck (way overdue for a massage), but from beginning to end I could tell that she was working spots that needed it. She seemed to have a great intuition for what muscles needed the work and just how hard to work them. I don't know if I've had anyone else who always seemed to be applying just the right amount of pressure, but Lyn was perfect in that regard. I'm afraid to hope that it will be that good every time, but I plan to return. read more

A solid 5 stars. I'm a bit of a massage snob. I'll admit it. Lyn's touch was impeccable. She knew exactly how deep to work and where. Moreover, Lyn uses a technique she calls Esalen that was truly amazing. The basis of the work is long smooth strokes that are deep and penetrating but very different from having someone 'knead' in the same spot over and over. and best of all, it yielded great results. Lyn is the best!!! She has a soft spot for pregnant women. She opened her door for me on Christmas eve which she never did. I got a message on my due date 40weeks(first baby) at 10am and by 1pm I was at the hospital gave birth at 10pm. I do recommend her. Went for an hour Swedish Massage on Friday and I left stress free. Lyn did a great job. She is skilled and very friendly. She takes time to communicate with you before the session and you can feel her care during the body session. She breathes with you, listen to your feedback and adjust to your body reaction. During my one hour session, I was able to complete relax myself on the table to enjoy her massage and also it reveals some potential issues with my neck and shoulder. dislike their appointment scheduling system for voucher holders, you have to sign up for some membership (which would require you to give out a bunch of personal info so they could spam you) in order to schedule appointment online, so i tried calling, even though she picked up the phone she wouldn't schedule for you over the phone. she would direct you to a website she said is printed on the voucher, but the voucher says call the number to schedule and not a single website is printed on it. i told her i don't want to sign up for the membership online in order to schedule appointment, she replied on the phone "if you don't want to give out your information, you don't deserve the service here, you might as well get your money back". Yeah, you are right, i got my money back and went to Absolute Bliss next door, they have much better customer service, thanks for the headsup!!! read more
