It's open on Sunday yayyyy!…read more I had an appointment for 3pm and I arrived early. Well Amy was great most of the ladies are but today my nails wouldn't dry because I got regular polish. Typically I get dip powders or gel. I decided I need a break. Anyhoo Amy re polished my nails and they still wouldn't dry. I asked for quick dry spray which they accommodated. Unfortunately it still wasn't dry. Next time I'll tip before I leave. Also, I was told why didn't I get dip powder like I normally do. I know it wasn't meant maliciously BUT it's my money. I was shocked I've been coming here for years and I'm really disappointed. They had me sit to have the nails re polished after the quick dry spray but I just walked out. I'm not waiting any more. It's 6:30 pm Yes I was in the nail salon for 3.5 hours for a gel pedicure and regular polish manicure. I think I deserve a discount. Don't you...

I was pretty disappointed with my first visit here. I came by since I saw the reviews on Yelp and…read morereally loved Angel's Nails which was here before. I decided to get a gel manicure and my nails chipped on DAY TWO. In the past when I've had gel nails, it lasts a week to weeks, this time it chipped very quickly. The salon also didn't give me the luxe vibe that you long for during a manicure. I missed my warm towel with the quick massage. I'm going to hope it was an off day, but I think there's a lot of other good salons in the area.

I get a solid 3.5 weeks from my manicures which I never had previously. But that care means you should give yourself 30 minutes beyond time you'd allocate for services elsewhere. Even better, the dry manicures ensure that I don't leave with my cuticles feeling like they got back from battle. The ambiance in the shop is very peaceful and well maintained. She made great suggestions for what I was looking for, she was quick and gentle on my nails. This place is also very reasonably priced and my nails lasted around 3 weeks (for me that never happens with just a gel manicure) The are usually booked up so you have to book in advance by phone and it's cash only (no apps either). There are a few atms in stores you can go to on the same street but you'll pay a small fee so I recommend just coming with cash. Highly recommend and I would definitely come back her for nail art and extensions. The reviews are great!

When I traveled to Japan and Korea earlier this year, I fell in love with the Japanese style of…read morenails, which seems more common in Asia compared to the US. I like the minimalist and modern aesthetic and use of more muted, natural colors. In Philly, I hadn't come across any nail salons that offer those kinds of designs and/or colors so, when I chanced upon O'Studio's Yelp page, I wanted to check them out. The online appointment booking process was pretty straightforward, which you complete on their website. I booked a "Gel Manicure w/ Art/Design" and "Regular/Undecided" appointment. The appointment was originally for 1 hr 40 mins and the actual appointment ended up being 2 hrs. The total cost ended up being $108 excluding tip. The design I ended up chosing was a design that's featured on their Instagram (@pipimiaonail) but opted for a different nail shape. It seems like they regularly update their Instagram so, if you're indecisive like me, that's a good place to look for inspiration. They cater towards more of a Chinese speaking clientele but they were still very English friendly. My appointment went well and you can tell that the nail techs put a lot of care and attention in fulfilling the client's nail request; my nail tech, Chelsea, regularly checked in with me to make sure the nails were to my liking. I'm very happy with how my nails turned out and I've received several compliments. If I had to make any minor comments, when my cuticles were being trimmed, I was nicked a little bit on the thumb. Also, for one of the nails that had gold glitter on it, initially, a different type of glitter was used. After it was realized that the glitter was different, the different glitter wasn't completely removed before applying the gold glitter per the design. But, those are super minor comments and overall I think a fantastic job was done. Would I go back? : Definitely! I would highly recommend their services. They are a bit on the pricey side but I think it's worth paying the extra bit of money for the type, level, and quality of service they provide. Because this was my first visit, I erred on the safe side by choosing a design they had previously done. After my positive experience, I can tell that they are very skilled and will consider requesting other outside designs in the future.
