She checked in with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with my nails, she even hand mixed the polish for me so the color would match the photo I showed her. I walked in without an appointment at 5:30 and didn't have to wait. Bo got right to work and is one of the most professional nail technicians I've ever worked with. She told me about the history of the business, introduced me to all her colleagues, and said I have nice feet. Even better, she used a tool which softened my bunions and dry skin. It must have taken at least a year or two off my feet. The best part about Lotus is the quick yet thorough service and the welcoming atmosphere. While my nails dried, Virginia patiently listened as I told her all about the latest boy who broke my heart. It felt really good to get validation, and she made me genuinely laugh. The staff at Lotus does a great job of fostering connections with and amongst their clients. We all celebrated another client's recent divorce and discussed ideas for a "divorce party" which was fun and funny. If you haven't gotten a pedicure here yet, what are you doin??? It's the middle of summer and your feet need to look as good as my feet do now. Don't waste your time (literally) at another nail salon if you live in the neighborhood. I normally do a 30- or 60-minute massage with Sidney, who's the first massage therapist I've ever decided I had to come back to. The 30 min massages are perfect for lightly incorporating some relief and luxury into your day, and have become a treasured fix in a busy life. I don't think it plays a large role in many people's experiences here, but I also love how queer of a space Fabriq is. It makes me feel even more comfortable and happy. The first gave me no instructions for home care, which I now know is crazy. The next person took a holistic approach to skin care, which I really was interested in, but skin got SO much worse in the 4 months under her care- it was really unbelievable. The products that she gave me gave me a ton of comedones, which made the texture of my skin so awful. I found Advanced Skin Care online and got two personal recommendations as well, which confirmed for me that I was making the right choice. It took some time to get things under control, but in the 4 months that I've been there, I have gone from grade 4 acne to grade 2 (at my last visit). It's been one month since my last facial, and I have had zero blemishes. I used to have 5-6 blemishes show up every 1-2 days. Ydali is really great! She is the only person I've seen there. I like her no-nonsense, careful approach. My skin is very sensitive and she has given me explicit instructions for incorporating each new product so that my skin could acclimate. She hasn't ever pushed products or services on me, which I really appreciate. Whenever I have had questions in between appointments, I have been able to reach her for help. I honestly don't even want to think about what my skin would look like right now if I hadn't decided to come here...
