I have been here serval times, the older lady always does a fantastic job on my nails I get the same thing every time a full set with jell police French tip and pedicure French Jell polish I switch between buck nails and square. Service is pretty fast and never had any cuticle problems after. I love this place for its great pricing ! I usually pay around 55-65 for the full set and 35-40 for the pedicure. Just ok. Pedicure looked great, and that area was very clean. Manicure is what I'm not at ALL pleased with. She was very rough on my nails. I said "Ouch" more than once and told her she was hurting me. She was very rough and the manicure was not even. Area for manicures also looks a little dirty. The gel started chipping not even an hr later. My cuticles is red and irritated . Had to go over my nails myself to look right for a wedding . some things i love about this place: super friendly technicians/staff, really reasonable prices, my nails come out really cute. The only con is they can get pretty busy but that's not an issue if u make an appointment. This place does a great job. A full set of acrylics plus gel for only $30! And when one of the nail sizes she applied looked too narrow for my liking (just after glue) she clipped it off and unglued it without any push back or annoyance. They offered me a bottle of water when I arrived and helped me select the color I wanted quickly just by saying "I'd like a dark grey". Awesome experience here for the most part! I got my nails done - I got a set of acrylic, gel nails and got a polish change on my toes. The full set was $30 and the polish change on my toes was $10. AMAZING PRICING. The gel manicure has lasted longer than most places I have experienced in the area. I got them done two and a half weeks ago at this point and I definitely need to go back because my nails are way too long and are grown out but the gel is still intact and looks nice! The one con was my toe nail polish - within a week it all chipped.. that had not happened to me before. That was weird. normally my toe nails remain painted for what feels like forever but not in this case. Regardless, I will back to get my nails done there and I would now consider myself a Pinky's convert. The place looks a little gross, not the nicest or most new salon by any means but they are clean. I have been going to Pinky's for 3 years now, not because it's any good but because it's fast and cheap. I hate getting my nails done bc nail techs are always rough, it's an expensive habit, and it's time consuming. A typical experience at Pinky's looks like this: Nail tech:Hi can I help you? Me: Gel manicure please. ( or whatever service I'm getting) Nail tech: Pedicure too? Me: No. Just gel manicure Nail tech: Eyebrows? Me: No, just gel manicure (while wide eyeing her green tattooed eyebrows) Nail tech: Ok pick out color I walk over to hooks that are overloaded with binder rings and fake nails painted in a variety of color. It's complete madness with too many options on one ring and hard to handle. If you pick OPI, most of the time they will give you some generic version like DnD. Side bar: don't bother making a reservation Thursday through Saturday. Don't ever get the old man nail tech with long pointy cocaine pinky nail or the older woman with the Posh-bob who asks if you're pregnant every time you're there. I have been getting gel polish off and on for 3 years as well. I take breaks every 5-6 months to let my fingernails breathe a bit. This time I went a little longer due to my own wedding, a honeymoon, friends and relatives weddings, and an awesome summer. My last trip to Pinkys I got the only nail tech that seems to care about my nail health, although she definitely downplayed the severity of it. She basically told me my nails were really long and due to the overgrowth, my nail detached from the nail bed causing white patches on my nails. (A doctors visit later confirmed its actually nail fungus) Said Nail tech recommended to cut off the nail where the white patches were to let my nails breathe and to come back in a month. A few days later my nails were in throbbing pain. I noticed little black spots (later learned it's splinter hemorrhages caused by the nail tech being so rough on me) and that's what prompted me to see a doctor. Reflecting on my own experiences and complete and utter ignorance, I'd like to share more observations. 1. Nail techs never wear gloves ( I never see them wash their hands and they're constantly eating, so gross) 2. The tools come out of resealable paper packages that they originally sealed, so it's not brand new or even officially sterilized. 3. The thermal sterilization cabinet they use to "sterilize" metal tools is always open, releasing heat, defeating its purpose. 4. The finger bowl with the glass stones is never cleaned. Water gets dumped out and stones thrown in a bin disgusting cesspool bin. 5. Nail techs reuse buffers, nail files, nail brushes etc without spraying/sanitizing, or washed. They're used on both toenails and finger nails, increasing the possibility and spread of infections. 6. Brush used after Dremel use to clean dust is never sanitized and used on both clients and table top surfaces, increasing transfer of germs. 7. The green eyebrow nail techs are some of the meanest/ pushiest people on Earth & this is coming from someone who has lived in Philadelphia for over 10 years. read more

1. They have no AC!! Which is fine but no air circulation. 2. The male owner is a jerk! I witnessed him put his hands on one of the workers when she didn't do what he asked right away. A mother and daughter came in and the worker started the mothers pedicure first and he wanted the daughter to be started first simply because she walked in the door first. The mom said no it's okay, he was upset claiming that she never listens to him and tried to snatch the pedicure tools out of her hands. Everyone was outraged and disgusted in his behavior, but his wife also an owner thought nothing of it. The workers all turned their heads like its normal. Made me sick!! I despise him. This place is fantastic! The only place I'll go to in the city. A gel manicure and spa gel pedicure take about 3 hours but it's totally worth it. The girls take great care of me and go out of their way to make me comfortable. The gel lasts at least 3 weeks and they do beautiful designs. read more

The spa pedicure is pretty darn good, and they have a cheap-o pedicure option too if you need a quick clean up and polish. I've never had a gel manicure last two weeks, most have crapped out after one week so I'll never go back for a gel mani. Prices are really cheap, they seem to be competing with Top Nails down the street on pricing. Tip is cash only, which seems pretty standard in nail salons these days. read more

I haven't had any bad experiences at Pinky. I always get seated quickly and I'm in and out. They work quickly and once offered me a frozen sugary drink of some sort. Granted, I've never gotten a pedi there and only really get gel polish, but I was surprised at how nice/clean the interior was compared to the extremely unassuming outside. i feel bad but this was one of the worst manicures I have ever gotten, I had to fix them as much as I could they weren't filed evenly the paint was clumpy looking and sloppily done, and they really chomped up my cuticles I was still bleeding when I left and now a few days later they look absolutely horrible they looked 20 times better before I went there... idk how long it will take my cuticles before they don't look shredddd again. I have been going to Pinky Nails for about 6 months and have liked then from day 1. Today I learned that not only do they do a thorough, great job, but the owners are good, honest people too. Apparently I was charged twice for services in April (which somehow I missed on my credit card statement). As soon as I sat down today, the owner came over and asked to see the last 4 digits of my credit card because he thought I was the person who was charged twice. He showed me that the numbers did match and told me I did not have to pay for today's services because they owed me money. In addition, he gave me a gift card for the remaining money they owed me! This place is really hit or miss. Although, it seems to be a bit more miss of late. It is generally fairly clean, but it does seem as though the technicians rush through the mani/pedi. Understandable given the volume of customers coming through, but after a few too many gel manicures that peeled off in 2-3 days, and nicks and cuts... I have to say that this won't be my go to spot anymore. Glows- pleasant staff, clean environment, quick (+/-). Grows- take more time with the physical nails to avoid damage to nails/gel on skin, and try to give realistic wait times. read more

My friends and I used to go to this place pretty frequently, but they managed to turn every one of us off somehow. First of all this place doesn't understand the concept of an appointment, I made an appointment for 6:30 and arrived 3 minutes late and was forced to wait over an hour to get my nails done. The worst part about it is they won't tell you how long the wait is expected to be, they'll just say "not long" and make you wait. I sat at the entrance for a while and then was moved to a pedicure chair which I again waited another 15 minute in. They do offer a lot of gel colors, which is why we all started going here but after one of my friends got a nail infection we finally all decided to call it quits. Best thing about this salon is it looks clean, I've gone a few times and normally would of given them about 3 stars just for that. The color selection is average. The reps seem to rush through there work and parking is hard to find. Wouldn't be my my fav salon but useful in a quick rush. After my last trip I will never again return, horrible customer service, I went in near closing time and although the bright open lights were blinking and the door was still unlocked they asked me what I wanted then paused looked at me and told me they are suddenly closed. They don't tell you if they have appointments booked even if it's busy and you've been. Waiting for a half hour and the rush job I just had on my manicure will now take days to grow out I'm a cosmetologist and I'm reporting them to the state board for unsanitary practices. They use the same towel for multiple guest and don't sterilize their sinks in between uses. read more

About a month ago, I took my sons here for a quick haircut. When I walked in, at a glance, I thought they would be able to cut my sons' hair right away since there was only 1 lady working on a pedicure. Everyone else was just sitting around. The lady who was working on the pedicure turned to look at me halfheartedly and told me to come back in an hour. Really? They only had 1 barber/hair technician?? Even if they did, everyone else was just sitting around doing absolutely nothing! She could had called someone else to finish the pedicure while cut my boys' hair! I have been here twice. The second time was worse than the first time experience. I can understand Vietnamese and these people have nothing nice to say about any race. They call people by the N -word and white trash in Vietnamese. I used the bathroom the second time and there were big cockroaches on the floor. The bathroom door handle was sticky and slimy. They took off my acrylic nails and didn't smooth out my nails. I had to point it out and the old nail lady said the male worker in Vietnamese " can u smooth out her nails and charge her more?"
