The only issue I had was that it took a little longer than I would have liked and I was being switched between two people repeatedly. In no time at all, she had cut the hair on one side of my head above my ear, which was the opposite of what I asked for, as I have a deformed right ear from decades of combat sports competition, and I wanted it concealed. As she had already ruined my hair on one side, I bit my tongue as she made the other side match it. I was absolutely furious, but what can a stylist do once they've taken too much off? Absolutely nothing. Now I am stuck with a haircut where my deformed ear is visible for the whole world to see because the stylist decided to give me that haircut that she wanted to give me instead of the one that I asked for. I paid for my haircut with a card and departed in a polite manner, but the moment I hit the sidewalk, I could no nothing but scream profanity as the realization that I couldn't cover my deformed ear kicked in. Now I am not only out $18, but I am stuck with a haircut which leaves me open to yet more questions along the lines of "What's wrong with your ear?" [Edit, I called the place and she offered me a refund, but this doesn't undo the damage she did to my personal appearance. The rude surprise was when I went to pay and the owner told me that it's cash only, no credit cards. Like most people these days, I don't carry much cash on me. I usually pay with my credit card and use the cash I have to give tips, often asking them to break my $20 bill so that I could tip the hair stylist and the woman who washed my hair. I told the owner that I had only $20 in cash (just enough to pay for the haircut). Then she had the nerve to ask me about tips. I explained to her that I had intended to pay for the haircut with my credit card and to use my cash for tips. She doesn't seem to understand that tips are optional and up to the customer, not mandatory or required by law. The owner acted like it was my fault that I did not have enough cash for both the haircut and tips when she was the one who failed to tell me that it's cash only when I first walked in and asked how much a haircut was. Instead of being apologetic or taking any responsibility for not taking credit cards, she blamed me for her own shortcoming. Who doesn't take credit cards in 2026 and why? Tax evasion? Someone needs to call the IRS on her! Eventually, I was told that I could go to the grocery store next door to use my credit card. Apparently, they worked out something with the grocery store that their customers can use their credit cards there to give them credit for groceries. After two long days at work, I really was not expecting to be treated so rudely on my one day off and going to get my hair cut and by people I was paying money to! I will never give this place a second try!
