I was there to take the GMAT and it was the worst experience. This test center is in what looks like an abandoned building. The main entry says "use the side door" and when I tried every single side door they were all locked. There was no signs and no one in sight. I legit spent 30 minutes thinking I was in the wrong place and trying to get inside the building and another 15 minutes trying to find the room. The staff were not friendly and sounded extremely condescending. I arrived there in a good mood and after interacting with the staff made me feel crappy. I feel like they were giving me an attitude. people are nervous before exams and it surely doesn't help if staff makes you feel even worse. I get a feeling that the staff is not trying to be helpful and do not care about test takers at all. In summary, for your test performance and a pleasurable experience, do not choose this test center! (Also for internationals taking GMAT, pls bring your passport as I had to run back for it) read more

Well, it's not like you have too much choice when taking standardized tests like the GRE or GMAT, but these folks still get 4 stars in my book. It was clean, well-lit and warm, whereas I was expecting DMV-style gross, overcrowded and cold. Everyone there was actually really nice and they made the process of testing as painless as it could be, short of giving me the answers or taking the test for me... If you're weighing your options between this location and the one in Renton, well, all I can say is this place was reasonably nice and I'd have no problem taking another test here. read more

Went to the test center 2 days early to familiarize myself with the location (in on 4th floor, to left after elevator). Was planning on asking about test procedures. But when I told older woman on staff that I wasn't taking the test today, all she says was goodbye and ushered me to the door. I can imagine that she needs to monitor the test, but pretty bad customer service. read more

I went to take a WEST-B pilot exam and then the WEST-B itself at this Pearson location. Both times I had a pleasant experience. The staff are extremely friendly. During the (very awkward!) security checks (where you have to turn your pockets inside out and do a self-patdown) they are all very discreet and professional without being cold or snooty about it. The office is in a nice building with bathrooms right down the hall. The testing computers are clean and offer a decent amount of privacy and comfort. Each time I've been I've only had to wait 5 minutes max to be checked in for my appointment. When I've raised my hand for assistance during testing (to take a break, etc.) they are always very attentive and quick. read more

Had my Gmat test a couple months ago, the procedure was smooth, the only thing bothers me was when I entered the room, the front desk staff asked me with really loud voice:"Do you have your passport with you?" Then everybody who was in the waiting room all staring at me like I am a alien(I am a permanent resident in the US). I said "yes", cause I thought this may happen... This center did not allow anyone to enter the waiting room. I was nervous before the test and they were really mean to my wife. They said they would not talk to her and she had to leave. read more

I took my GMAT a year ago here and more recently, the CPA exam at Prometric in Mountake Terrace. Now that I have something to compare to, Pearson Professional Centers gets five stars! The location is very easy to access from I-5 (opposite side of the Northgate Mall) and there is AMPLE parking. The facility is very new, clean, and modern. The lockers are strategically placed and NOT next to the wall you are testing next to (which happens to be the case at Prometric). Their headphones block out all sound. There aren't too many people crowded into the testing room. The customer service was also excellent; very friendly and understanding of the high stress environment. Although their Biometrics was down, which also happened at Prometric, the receptionist was apologetic and immediately moved on to the backup fingerprinting process. I wish I could take my CPA exam here, but unfortunately, it is not an option! So, if you have the choice, I highly recommend Pearson! read more

went to get a Cisco certification one fine and lovely day. security is as tight as getting into the CIA. security is tighter than flying commercial airlines, except they don't check for bombs...yet. i had a vision of the receptionist from True Lies who has a hand cannon strapped under her desk at the entrance of the office where Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold work... when you check in: 2 forms of id required. they take a headshot photo. you must read a 1 pager on all the rules. you have to give them a signature. just before you go inside the small room for the test i had to remove: my eyeglasses. my watch. my jackets (i had 2 on). i could not use my own earplugs (they provide some) and i had to empty my pockets - front and back.. when i finally got inside the small room to get tested: you are not allowed to stand up unless you raise your hand first. there is at least 1 webcam watching you the entire time. there is one person watching you through the glass windows to the room. you cannot eat. you cannot drink. at the end of it there was a survey question at some point that goes something like this: Does Cisco do a good job of protecting your investment in your professional certification? YES, YES, YES. read more

This place has terrible customer service. These place must be hiring undesirables. The first elderly woman was cold, she was very tone deaf, and very detached at the check in counter. You can't even study 30 minutes in their office before you go to the test room. The woman who checked me into the the test center was friendly and helpful. The lady who checked me out was polite. I was trying to schedule another exam after my test was over and I was trying to call my employer to have them pay for the test, and a gentleman with a froe yelled at me, "Don't talk on your cell phone!" He was rude! I made an honest mistake, because you can't talk on the phone even after you're done with the test. It's is not a very inviting place to be. Most of the employees are not friendly and they have bad social skills. Avoid this place as much as possible! read more

Horrible testing center. Staff is slow and unresponsive to needs. Materials supplied were not working and/or inadequate. I was given a wet-erase marker which didn't work, then it took them 5 minutes to swap out. I was given two pencils that were too short and small. The staff gave me directions about the test which turned out to be wrong. I was taking a timed test and lost just less than 10 minutes because of issues related to the testing center. I've never been to one of these test taking centers so I wasn't sure what to expect, but the whole thing turned out to be pretty pain-free and efficient. Honestly, I was impressed with the staff, I initially expected a DMV-type experience, but I found everyone to be very helpful and kind. They could have easily been snappy and annoyed with all the (same) questions they're being asked by all the test takers walking in, but they were patient with everyone, and seemed to genuinely want you to do well on whatever test you were taking. I was able to wear a light jacket into the test room, but had to put everything else into locker they provide. There's plenty of parking, but come a little early since there are lots of people in line to register. The one thing I found to be very inefficient was the palm scanner. It seemed like half the time the scanner didn't work and they had to scan the same hand repeatedly, which took even longer to register a roomful of waiting people - you'd think a finger print reader would suffice. read more

Professional Staff. They crack jokes best they can. Lots of security. Felt like I was flying outta Iraq getting all my pockets checked making sure I don't bring home any war materials...But location is easy to get to and ample parking even though I walked only one block. read more

Am I going to prison or taking a test by choice to get my Master's? A little too militant for me a sealed bottle of water should be allowed along with the headband to hold my hair out of my face. I had to repeat the palm reading multiple times, it would be much easier to fingerprint. The staff were great through all the challenges and my questions. It has been many years since my last test and I am glad I do not do this on a regular basis. read more

Had a very difficult time with the front desk check in person. My id had my middle name spelled out instead of my middle initial. He would not accept it even though I had the email confirmation with their check in procedures that specifically state that having a full middle name was acceptable. He would not hear of it. He gave me a phone number to call and told me I would have to reschedule. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor and he said to call the customer service number. After 90 minutes of calling Pearson customer service in the hallway and calling my educational board that was directing my test, I finally got the clearance. When I finally went in to take the test, he just said, "Sorry, I was given the wrong information." Gee, that makes me feel SO much better. After all the stress of studying and finally to get to this point, I was beyond stressed and hopefully did not fail my test (results will be mailed). I can understand that he was giving the wrong information, but his unwillingness to help just made matters worse. Note to Pearson, do not hire robots. How about some actual customer service? read more
