My middle school kiddo has always struggled with math. She's very bright but just hasn't been able to put all the pieces together at the pace her teachers go. Since working with Maddie I have seen a huge improvement in both her understanding and her confidence in math! She's much more willing to do 'real life' math when it comes up and has even been excited to talk about and show off her work from school. She got an "A" last quarter for the first time ever and was very proud. Maddie has been so patient and kind with her. I'm amazed at the variety of online tools she's found to help each session stay fun and fresh yet still challenging. She's helped my daughter with new concepts and homework while also making time to fill in the gaps in her foundational knowledge. I was skeptical that doing this all remotely would work well. I thought at best we'd not lose ground this year, but Maddie has been able to connect with my daughter and help her feel at ease and ready to learn during each session they have together. My daughter started going to the drop-in tutoring session on Sundays, where she can focus doing her homework at her own pace, and there's always a tutor available on site for her questions. Her tutor Tyson is highly qualified and very helpful. In one instance, he went above and beyond to assist my daughter preparing for the next day precalculus test knowing that she didn't receive any review materials from her teacher. She has decided that this drop-in session will be a part of her Sunday schedule for the next 2 years when she's done with HS. In addition, she had taken SAT Prep summer camp. Both my kids have used math fusion for tutoring, college essay writing and sat class. They both walked away with learning the concepts necessary and beyond. I needed some help reviewing math concepts in preparation for the GMAT. After being out of school for a few years now, my math skills were more than a little rusty. To provide some context, in December of 2022, our daughter's first grade teachers summoned us for a conference to discuss her progress with ELA and Mathematics. At this point in time, they were very concerned that she was not performing at grade level and even attempted to hand us a packet for special education to consider it for our daughter. We decided to push back, asked for six months to work with her and tutors before proceeding down that path. We first attempted Varsity tutors, but it just did not meet our needs. Then we found Ms. Payton and Mrs. Anu, and something magical happened. Within a few sessions, her teachers started making comments about her wonderful progress. By March 2023 (the date we set for a follow-up on her progress), her teachers could not stop raving about her progress. Fast forward to her final conference in June, and she surpassed all of their expectations and is now on track to be ready for second grade. What has stuck out the most is their repeated comments of how much confidence she has now. Because they have provided her with the tools to work through ELA and Mathematics, our daughter actually enjoys it now (before she would cry at the mention of either). She even walks around with a notebook practicing equations all on her own! If you are considering tutoring for your child, do not look any further!

Flux has been helping our daughter with her problem solving and confidence around math for over a…read moreyear. We started to notice that our daughter was having anxiety around approaching math and other schoolwork where the steps were ambiguous. She felt there must be a single way to arrive at the answer and would perseverate rather than just digging into the problem. Flux worked with our daughter's teacher to develop an action plan. Over the course of 10 lessons, they worked on fun but complex word problems that allowed our daughter to recognize all the different information she could use to solve the problem. They drew pictures and tested concepts, and after each session our daughter couldn't wait to walk us through the problem and the process she used to solve it. Flux helped her identify anxiety triggers, do deep breathing, and build her confidence, and she kept math fun and exciting the entire time. She has been a really great mentor and is fantastic about tailoring a program to our daughter's needs.

The Director Joanne, Assistant Director RJ, and Toddler Teachers Ms. Cami and Ms. Helen have been a God-send. They have and continuously uphold high standards, truly care about the wellbeing and education of your child, and are genuinely invested in having your family as a part of their community. From the very beginning, the environment has felt warm, welcoming, and supportive. The teachers and admin staff are so kind and caring, and it's clear they truly love what they do. They always take a few minutes to chat during drop-off and pick-up, which makes me feel connected and reassured about how my little one's day is going. The staff always rave about my little one and how cute and wonderful they are. Warms my heart. One of my favorite things is receiving pictures throughout the day. It's so comforting to see my little one smiling, playing, and being well cared for while I'm at work.
