I love coming here for my mani pedis. They're super accommodating. They pay close attention to detail, and they're gentle with filing (I've had issues with places being too rough with filing). They offer free beverages & a massage after your mani pedi. The ladies are really nice, especially Nara & Jin. Be sure to sign up for their monthly coupons! If you have a valid student ID, you get 10% off! read more

Woke up and decided I need a mani/pedi this morning so I did some searching on Yelp. I have been obsessed with Zoya polishes lately and not many salons carry it. Pearl's had Zoya, no-cip manicures and stellar reviews so I called around 10:30 and was told it would be no problem to come in around noon. I drove my scooter over and there was a ton of street parking right in front of the salon. I was greeted warmly and told to pick my toe color and was also shown the colors for the no-chip. They have a ton of regular polish colors to choose from including a large selection of Essie and OPI. They only have a few Zoya colors (all from the summer beach and surf collections) but I was dying to try a dark purple (Carly) from the beach collection so that was fine. Sat down in the pedicure chair and was super happy to find out you get a free beverage (can of soda, water, gatorade, tea). Having a can of diet coke paired with the best pedicure I had received in a long time was pure heaven. Julie did a great job with my toes. They include scrubs and a hot stone massage in the price. So amazing. At other places, I am lucky to even get lotion. Moved on to the no-chip manicure. I am a nurse and my manis get ruined instantly at work so I always opt for a no-chip. I can't remember what brand they use but I am used to OPI so I am anxious to see how this holds up in comparison to my 2-3 weeks with OPI. I didn't really love their color selection (around 25? colors) so I opted to do a french no-chip. Goes with everything and still looks nice. Was $10 extra but it looks so great that I didn't really mind. Their prices are on par with other places I have been and with all of the little extras, I can say it was worth it. Total was $70 for the pedicure and no-chip french mani. They do offer specials (10% senior, student and groups (+5 ppl)) and I meant to use my UIC discount but totally forgot. They also have a stamp card where 9 services = 1 free mani. Overall, super nice, clean, and a great experience. My new favorite salon! read more

Great service & the employees are as nice as can be. I went in and had a plum colored manicure - the manicure was fantastic & I received a TON of compliments on the color. Also cute salon set up & they will stop at nothing to make sure you are comfy. Magazines galore, drinks and TVs all over the place. 5 stars all around. read more

I've lived in Chicago for almost 3 years, and it's taken me a while to find a good nail salon. I think Pearl's might be my new spot. I went in last week for a mani/pedi and called for an appointment. Scheduling was no problem, I had an appointment in 15 minutes but they also take walk-ins. The salon is exceptionally cute and well-kept with comfy chairs. The owners are very kind and do great work. I've had my mani for almost a week and it hasn't chipped (and this wasn't a no-chip manicure!) They offer a free beverage and make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed during your service. Exactly what I needed after a long day at work. Definitely will be coming back! read more

I've been to both Pearl's locations with a Groupon. I loved both! Tina did my pedicure at the Halsted location, and she was fantastic. The customer service is wonderful. They take your coat for you, offer a free beverage, and provide an overall relaxing and enjoyable experience. Not to mention, my feet are ready for summer and the polish looks great ;) I will definitely be back! read more

Not worth the money. I had an older white lady do my pedicure, I didn't know it was possible to be so slow yet not thorough. A younger Asian girl did my no chip. She was a little better, however she asked if I wanted 2 or three coats, when clearly you could still see my nail through the dark color I picked. They need to give their staff a crash course in painting nails. So many little spots missed and on my cuticles. With so many nail salons within a block radius, do yourself a favor and skip this place. read more

19 degrees out and they gave me Swiss Miss hot chocolate and a hot neck wrap! Julie did the most professional job of removing my old shellac nails and applying my new CND nails. I'm not easy to please and I was very happy! Not very crowded on this cold January day! Good online reservation system. Enjoy your time there! read more

This place is mediocre and NOT 4 or 5 stars as you are led to believe. I had a regular mani-pedi, though I was hoping for a spa, but I guess they didn't have "time". They didn't have enough staff working, my technician didn't even get my entire nail - there were tiny slivers of nail showing on each side. The 'massage' for my hands and feet was pathetic. Not worth $40. At all. I will keep looking. Also - they will give you a discount if you review them on Yelp... which doesn't mean you have to give them 5 stars, but I imagine that's what has happened here. Ugh. read more

This place is my absolute favorite! I was fortunate enough to find them when I first moved here and lived close by. I tried a couple other places closer by when I had to relocate and immediately went back to Pearl nails. They do a wonderful job and the staff is friendly. Cici is the best and does such a great job on the no-chip manicure. I highly recommend this place. FYI, make an appointment. Walk-in's usually have to wait awhile. read more

Horrible service- they think they are doing you a favor. I was a walk in This lady just barely cleaned my feet no lotion and when I asked her to clip the nails because I wasn't sure that filing would be enough she gave me quite the attitude. The salon is 2 mins walk from my home but I will not patronize it and will go elsewhere. Wry bad attitude not worth the anxiety! They don't even do a good job so why bother. read more

The few times I've been (I went twice to give it another go) I had a horrible mani and pedi. My friends even said my nails looked worse than before I went to get them done. I ended up having to go to nail.com down the street the following week to get another mani/pedi. The only reason this place gets two stars is because the people were friendly. read more

Went in for a no-chip, and my nails are now a disaster. 4 days later my cuticles are red and inflamed, and nails are already chipping. You could still see my nails through the paint and the technician seemed annoyed when I answered yes to another coat. $35 for a 4 day no chip. read more

I have seen this nail salon under various owners and this new ownership under Pearl Nails is by far the best. Classy and customer-focused, Pearl Nails aims to please. From the point of walking into the door to leaving the salon. They have extra perks that enhance your experience from soda/tea offering to selecting your own fragrance lotion. I really like the owners--they are very genuine. If you need a great French manicure, Jin does an amazing job. She is precise and it looks very clean and natural. I highly recommend this salon for your manicure & pedicure experience. read more

My roommate recommended that I come here and I am so glad she did! I made an appointment in advance and the minute I walked in I was greeted immediately and they put my coat and purse at my station. The decor is very nice, it's got warm buttery colors on the wall. After I picked out my polish from at least 250 different choices, I was set up in the pedicure massage chair (which was heaven), and I offered a beverage. My mani/pedicurist did an amazing job and made my feet look presentable, and she was so sweet. As I waited for my no-chip to dry she threw in a short shoulder massage. Needless to say the service was just amazing and I felt very pampered. Not only is the service great but the prices are amazing. Monday-Wednesday you can get a mani/pedi for only $35 and then Thursday-Sunday it's $40. Plus on top of that they have a 10% student discount, and a nail punch card so after 9 manicures you get the tenth free. read more

I really like Pearl's. It's in Lincoln Park, which is close to my work. Since they stay open pretty late, I can pop in on my way home and get a pedicure or get my eyebrows waxed. I've never done the mani-pedi deal, but mostly because I have a hard time growing out my nails. I have never had a problem getting in for an appointment, and have never had to wait. There is a great selection of nail colors, arranged sensibly, by color. In addition to the brief massage you can get while your nails dry, they offer a chair massage (as an add-on). I would skip this, it wasn't really worth the extra cost (even though the cost of the chair massage is about on par with what I have experienced elsewhere ~$1 a minute). It is a fantastic business and I am looking forward to my next visit!! read more

Came here for a no chip manicure and a pedicure 6 days ago (Saturday) it was a very slow process but I figured because she took her time it would be a good job. Not the case. My nails didn't look great when she was done, I had excess nail polish on my skin, and hanging off the sides of my nails, but I was in a rush to get to a birthday party so I let it be. The next day (Sunday) one of my nails chipped at the top. I was entirely too busy to go back to the shop so I filed it down myself... Tuesday, another nail chipped. Thursday the polish on one of my toes chipped. Mind you it hasn't even been a week. This is the shortest amount of time it has taken for polish to come off my nails. I'm extremely disappointed and I will not return. Take your money somewhere where the polish will last, this was more expensive then the regular place I go to and the quality is terrible. read more

Great experience here at Pearl's! I got in from the snow and was greeted with a smile and a hanger for my coat and scarf! The place is really nice and clean. The staff is really friendly. I went in for a mani-pedi and as soon as I sat on the chair I was offered a free drink! I had hot chocolate - perfect for the cold weather! My mani-pedi turned out great! I'm particularly impressed with the mani. I've never had such nice nails before! Will definitely come back when I'm in Chicago again! :) read more

One of the best experiences and mani/pedis I've ever had! I walked in without an appt and although the nice guy at the front desk said they were booked up, he called the manager from her break and she did my pedicure right away. She was really nice. The pedicure included a leg message and scrub. Polish looked great. And a hot stone message! As I was getting my pedicure the staff explained that they could work in my manicure because of late appointments. Manicure also looks flawless. And I got two shoulder messages :) Staff was super nice and accommodating. All for $35 w/o tip. Will definitely be a regular at Pearls! read more

This is by far the cleanest, most professional nail spa I have been to in Chicago. There are so many complimentary services included in the cost that it is silly to go anywhere else! Last time I visited I had smudged my pedicure, I came in the next day and we had a bit of trouble finding the exact color match. They not only offered to fix the smudged toe, but to re-paint all the other toes so that the color would match on all toes! I settled to have one toe a slightly different color, but the fact that they offered was incredibly generous! read more

Needed a cute venue for a bachelorette party, and Pearl's Nails was it. My friend had been here a few times and recommended the place, so I had not been before the day of the party. Lee the manager could not have been more accommodating. Him and his staff were super sweet and went out of their way to ensure our girls had everything they needed--from pouring more champagne to making room for cupcakes. And they weren't offended by our inappropriate bachelorette party paraphernalia :) As for the nail services, my mani lasted a little over a week and my pedicure is still going strong 2 weeks later. My technician did a great job shaping, filing and cleaning. Looking forward to coming back for more services. This place is definitely a keeper . read more

Pearl's really cares about their customers. They really try to have every customer leave happy instead of just getting them out of the door as fast as they can. With their regular mani-pedi they include so many more amenities that other salons would charge extra for. You get hot stones and even a backrub once your nails are drying! Their color selection is great and they always have the newest colors. It's a very clean salon with the same familiar faces, which is nice so you don't have to get your nails done by random people all of the time if you choose to go back. They gave me two free drinks since I finished the mocha they gave me quickly (it hit the spot!). The manager Lee is always there and he does a great job of making sure everything runs smoothly. Their prices are great too! This is a great place for students in the area. With all of this said, you definitely need to make an appointment here, especially if you want to go after 5 on a week night. I don't understand how some people just expect to walk in and then get mad when they get turned away. This salon is busy because they treat their customers so keep that in mind and just schedule an appointment to ensure that you can be helped! This is definitely my go to salon! read more

I've had better service at other nail salons, but this place is ok because they're fast and the greeter at the door was friendly. I had an appointment set up so I didn't have to wait at all. Prices for services and nail polish selection were pretty standard. I only got a manicure and I was not 100% satisfied with how they did my nails. First of all, the nail tech was not very good at using the cuticle scissors because 1) the edges of my cuticles were still not smooth after she used them and 2) she accidentally cut me (yes, I was bleeding) and didn't apologize or anything. Another thing I dislike is when nail techs don't paint the nail from the bottom of the nail because they want to avoid getting polish on the cuticle. It makes it look like my manicure is growing out already, which is a HUGE pet peeve for me. Conclusion - probably won't come back. FYI - they only accept cash tips. read more

I love this place. Been going for over a year. Clean, professional and staff are sweet. Will continue coming for years to come. read more

Well, I've been looking for a nail salon that would make me walk out the door skipping & cheery like everyone else. Pro's: Neat, friendly staff, up to par color selection, comfortable massage chairs, you get excellent massages on half leg/feet (hot stone massage too!) & hand/arm massage. My pedicure came out good but my manicure could use a little work. The second coat didn't meet the arch of the first coat. It kind of looks a wave. Once again, I over tipped because I am a very generous person but I am willing to give this place another try. This time I'm going to voice my concerns a bit more. & maybe a different technician. read more

I like this place! Got a mani and pedi, Monday to Wednesday they have a special for $35. There are free drinks that comes with any service, pop, sparkling water, tea etc. which other nail places don't offer. The workers are efficient and nice. They did a great job on my nails, they have a wide selection of nail colors and magazines. Paid street parking, students with valid IDs get 10% off. I would definitely come back. read more

Everyone was very friendly, everything appeared clean. I got a pedicure and dip manicure. The actual pedicure itself was good, but the paint has already chipped, not even a week later, and my pedicures will usually last 3-4 weeks. I get dip manicures regularly, the process they applied the dip was different than every other dip manicure I've received, and the dip was not filed to even the layer, and in less than week my dip started to lift. A dip should last at least 3-4 weeks, this one didn't even last a full week. I was able to easily peel every one off. Very disappointing due to the cost of services. read more

As a guy, great spot. Enjoyed both the manicure and pedicure. Very clean and friendly staff.

I really hate it when a guy does my nails. They are just not good...I don't know why, but they just don't get it. I always want to stop people and say that I will wait for a girl, but I feel rude. So, I made an appointment online for a mani/pedi and was greeted by a female tech. Once I sat down, a dude came over. NOOOO!!!! I'm pregnant and can't reach my toes anymore to do them myself & all I wanted was a nice mani/pedi for the holidays. Sure enough he didn't really listen to what I said about the shape and length of my fingers & toes. My toes were essentially shaped into squares and my fingers varied from round to square with combos in between. I told him 3 separate times to make my finger nails shorter and he looked surprised with every request. I was also finished before people who were already there when I walked in. Some people may like a speedy nail appointment, but I do not. By the next day, the tips of my finger nails were already chipping...it wasn't even 24 hours. When it came time to take the polish off, it flawlessly pulled off my nails. My husband even said "Why did you put stickers on your nails? I thought you got a manicure." Oh, I did my dear...I did. Two weeks in, my feet looked like trailer toe. I've gotten a few manis/pedis here and the results are usually the same (minus the sticker polish). They chip in a day or so and I wind up repainting my toes in a couple weeks. I expect that in the summer when my toes are exposed, but not in the winter when I am protected by socks. The only reason they get a third star is because they do have good customer service. They offer you beverages right away and help you with shoes, coats, etc, which I appreciate, as many salons do not. They also offer birthday discounts, but it is just for the week leading up to your birthday. I came in last year the day after my birthday & they would not honor the discount (lame). They also give discounts for yelp reviews, so I suspect that is why there are so many 5 star reviews. read more

I just got home from my appointment at Pearl's Nails and had to write this glowing review! I had a mani-pedi and an eyebrow wax by Kim. She is extremely sweet and fantastic at doing nails and eyebrow waxing! From Monday-Wednesday they have a super deal; mani-pedi for $35!! Kim not only gave me a leg message and scrub, but with my mani she put wonderful lotion on my arms and provided me with an arm massage as well. They have an excellent selection of nail polish colors to choose from, so you won't have to worry about not finding a color you like. I brought a coffee with me, but I noticed they have free drinks, such as soda, tea, coffee, etc. My eyebrow wax was just as excellent as the mani-pedi. I have very light hair and Kim shaped and cleaned my eyebrows up with precision. Eyebrow waxing is $10! Fantastic! Oh yes, while my nails were drying, Kim providing me with a shoulder massage! The chairs they use for your pedi are also massaging chairs! I absolutely recommend Pearl's Nails 100%! I cannot wait to go back!! I walked out of the salon with fantastic looking nails and eyebrows! Yeay! Thank you, Kim; you are wonderful! This is now my nail and eyebrow waxing salon!! read more

This place is AMAZING! I hosted a bachelorette party this weekend and took the girls here for BYOB manicures in the morning. The staff was fabulous and so accommodating to our large party. They were ready with glasses for us, and were so great to us despite the fact that we basically took over their salon with our mimosa supplies! The manicure itself was very good and everyone was pleased. The technicians did a great job, and you even get a nice heated pillow for your neck and a post-manicure massage while your nails dry! (I've spent $15 on worse things.) The actual salon is also really cute! Great décor and fun music. AND, as if I needed another reason to go back, they even threw in a little gift for me for hosting the party. I can't wait to get my next mani! read more

Great service. Very friendly people. Was in town from Seattle for work. Called ahead of time and got a reservation. The staff was wonderful. Had the opportunity to talk to some other customers while getting a foot massage, everyone seems to love this place. Too bad I don't live here, I would definitely come back! read more

Nice and clean place, ice cold diet cokes on tap, good magazine selections....and the promise of a discount for a positive yelp review. Hm, what's missing in that? The service here is good but my main thing is quality of the paint job is what I'm in for, and I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a no chip manicure to last more than 4 days, but that's about what you get here. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews, just ladies looking for a discount. Lots of other nail places in the area to check out with better service and quality results. Sorry Pearls but I think we're done! read more

It was my first time there, but it was great!! Everyone was super nice, their selection of colors was remarkable (they even have Chanel and Dior). And they do a hot stone rub with their pedicure. Pearl's Nails - Massage Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I've been a loyal Pearl's customer for close to two years now. I was impressed, initially, by their friendly team, great work, and perks like the punch card and 20%-30% off emails. However, last night by far blew me away! Typically, I make an appointment ahead of time for my services as they can tend to be busy and I want to be considerate of their time and their business-not to mention I like knowing I can get in and out in a timely manner. I usually always do no-chip manicures and the occasional regular pedi. They have always done a fantastic job and I have NEVER had an issue with their work. However, two days ago, I was in for my usual no-chip mani and regular pedi and sadly a day later, one of my no-chip nails chipped! I'm not usually too high maintenance but I was a little upset that the one nail chipped, especially because it is NYE tonight and I leave on a family vacation this weekend. So last night I decided to pop by on my way home from work (no appointment) to see if they could just fix the one nail. They were more than willing to accommodate me and encouraged me to find my color so they could fix the nail. Crazy enough, I could not find my color for the life of me! The tech who did my nails 2 days prior was there and he remembered me and told me just to pick out a new color and he would RE-DO all my nails complimentary! I was blown away. I did not expect this at all, though it is certainly appreciated. Throughout the whole re-do, there was no complaining, no rushing, no making me feel like I was a hassle to them (which I've felt at other salons). And once again, my nails look FANTASTIC! Their customer service hooked me in the begging and two years later only continues to impress me! Working in hospitality sales, I am a customer service professional and it is an absolute pleasure to find a salon who practices great customer service and exemplifies it daily. PS-This is my first Yelp review. I signed up just so I could give this review! Happy New Year, Pearl's! Thank you! read more

If you are looking to get an amazing mani or pedi, defiantly come here! The service is always very nice and offer me free drinks and sometimes even give me a free chair massage. Their prices are very fair. Not only is Pearl's perfect for for just you, but they are perfect for parties as well. My only complaint is that one time I got a no chip on my nails. A day or two after, my big nail chipped! The reason why I am giving them five stars is because nobody is perfect, and it is the first time that they have messed up my nails. Overall, I would defiantly take a trip over to Pearl's nails. read more

I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews and rating, but I have to agree with a few others...it's just not that great and I worry about the cleanliness of the place. I had a mani and pedi on one of the days they were offering a special, and the girl who did both for me maybe said one or two words to the me the whole time. She was not friendly at all and when she did ask me a question, oh so quietly, and I couldn't understand, she sounded rude having to repeat herself louder. Just not nice. During my pedicure she seemed so disinterested, barely putting any massage into it and just being slow. The price is decent enough but it definitely wasn't a lasting experience to make me come back again. read more
