Kind of exactly what you would expect from a strip mall diner in a small town. However, not saying I had any expectations when trying this place en route to Hocking Hills for a day full of hiking. For starters, the inside is very narrow, with about 4-5 booths on one side, and 5-6 tables elsewhere. It is popular though, as almost every table was occupied when we stopped by. They seemed to be understaffed, especially for a Saturday morning, with only 2 servers that had to seat the patrons, wipe and clear the tables, take orders, and run the food to every table. In addition, two kitchen staff were working hard to crank out the incoming orders one at a time. Given the limited staffing, it took longer than expected for a quick stop for breakfast. From sitting down to receiving our food, it was about 45 minutes and we ordered our breakfast when we ordered the drinks. They offer both breakfast and lunch, with most everything under $10 -- very reasonable. We opted to split the Pearl bowl which comes with a biscuit & gravy, scrambled eggs, hash browns, cheese and green onions all together. All in all, it was a good amount for two people. Overall, the food was decent, but the understaffing leading to slow service and the relatively run down interior has me leaving this place with 2 stars aka 'could've been better'. And another turn off -- apparently the men's bathroom doubles as a utility closet?

Love Pearl's! Everything you would expect from a little "hole in the wall" hometown place, nothing fancy but cozy and comfy. The food is very fairly priced. There are a variety of breakfast dishes, sandwiches, sides, and dinners. Dinners include two sides and bread, and most are between $8-9.00. You can't beat that for good, homestyle food. Some things are homemade, others aren't, but at any rate, it's all good. They even make fresh cut fries! You'll find specials on the board, and there are usually a few things that aren't on the menu. The desserts are always good, too! No frozen, premade stuff. Love the eclectic table decor and the serving dishes. Lots of mismatched plates, bowls, and silverware, which I find really cute and different. They serve your coleslaw in a coffee cup. :) Service is always friendly and genuine, and the servers make you feel at home. Restrooms are clean and roomy. The kitchen always looks tidy, as you can see in when walking down the hallway to the restrooms. Besides, who would have a dirty kitchen when it's in full view of the customers? (Don't get the other review about the bathrooms and kitchen.) Anyway, cute little place, totally worth stopping by and checking out!

I have been to Hocking Hills countless times but had never even heard of Pearl's. I definitely was missing out on a delicious breakfast! It's conveniently located in the shopping strip right before heading into the State Park and very cozily decorated. The staff is beyond friendly and incredibly helpful. They serve standard diner food, and the food was hot and delicious. I definitely plan on returning when I'm in the area.

I had the breakfast bowl and my husband had the hot and spicy. Great prices and great flavors! Pearl's got the Best Down Home Breakfast award in 2016.

It must be our week for diners! This was a first visit to this cute little strip mall diner in Logan. Kids meals were plentiful and filling. My husband's meal included biscuits and gravy which was delicious (I know cuz I tasted it!). I had the stuffed pepper soup and fried bologna sandwich with onion and Swiss cheese. Yummy! The sign says "cookie' like grammas" and it was! We will be back!

Hot and Spicy omelette. Gravy and hash browns were a add on

Choose this over the chain options available. Their motto is guest are welcome, and locals are expected. We had breakfast here. The omelette only comes with choice of bread, hash browns are separate. I got the hot and spicy omelette. It was good, but felt it didn't have a lot of the items in it. I did order a side of gravy for the biscuit I got, and I have to say I liked that a lot. Being it was not busy, felt like I shouldn't have had to ask for more water :-(. Again, I will take something like this over a chain any day though.

Olde Dutch Restaurant in Logan -- so many people hyped this place up that we had to check it out…read more It's buffet style with all-you-can-eat salad bar, soups, hot dishes, and pies. Drinks are extra, and there's also a small $1-2 supplemental fee added on, which felt a little odd since it could probably just be included in the buffet price. The food itself is very classic home-style comfort food with lots of options. Nothing super fancy or out of the ordinary, but everything tasted fresh and the buffet was constantly being refilled every few minutes. We also got the iced sweet teas, which seemed to be really popular since almost every table had one. One unique thing -- the entrance and exit are through the gift shop, and you also pay there at the end of your meal, which definitely adds to the old-school country restaurant experience. Our waitress was attentive and friendly throughout the meal, too. Overall, worth the stop for the experience and comforting homemade-style food while visiting Logan.

This place was hopping but somehow everything flowed smoothly. We tried a little bit of everything- chicken and noodles, salad, stewed tomatoes, asparagus, has brown casserole, pie, etc. my husband seemed to really enjoy their fried chicken. They also offer a menu you can order from a la carte. The buffet was so extensive that we ended up sticking with it. I only hold off on the fifth star because some of the food was over salted and/or overcooked (especially the veggies- asparagus, cauliflower, etc).

Staff at the front desk were friendly, but had a hard time pulling themselves from their phones to seat us. The waitress was pleasant and helpful. The mini cornbread muffins were delicious. The steak and ribs were cooked perfectly, although I would have liked a little more seasoning on the ribeye. The baked beans were on the sweet side, but overall a good flavor. Our baked potatoes weren't done. They brought a second potato and it was still undercooked. We didn't eat it. Overall, we left feeling satisfied and had more than enough to eat. Bring your appetite and lots of cash because they'll have you pay the card processing fee and an additional "supplemental fee" for added fun. I would have taken a picture of the food, but we were too hungry for a photoshoot. Overall we would recommend it, just don't get the baked potato.

Whenever we're in the area, Millstone BBQ is our go-to dinner destination. The vibe fun & relaxing (especially during the summer when you can sit outside on their patio with live music). The food is great. And the price is quite reasonable. Only caveat is that they can be busy with a long wait to be seated if you come during the middle of the dinner rush.
