My mentor gifted me a visit for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses as a graduation gift. I loved those glasses with my WHOLE heart and wore them throughout the first couple years of my time at Cornell, prior to my prescription changing. While I now only peruse their collections in-store or online from time to time, I have always appreciated how they've kept up with the trends in styles and their wide range/variety in frame styles, shapes, colors, you name it. They offer such unique looks as well and it's just a great eyecare store. Even though I haven't had the insurance that SEE takes to have my frames and exams fully covered here, I never rule them out of rotation when shopping for new frames. I do get a slight percentage off, so I keep that in mind as well. It also helps that any time I've visited their storefront that the staff is AMAZING. I went to their store this past weekend to take a gander at some of their frames and was helped by Lillian - she was just a doll! Super sweet, kind and very knowledgeable of the frames. She helped me determine some pricing of frames that I was interested in as well as looked up my insurance benefits to give me snapshot of what my insurance would cover in their store. Again, my current insurance through my job is not an insurance that they take, however, I do get some discounts with my current insurance. All in all, this eyewear store is just a gem! I would end up going back FIVE TIMES to have the new glasses adjusted because they were too big. Each time being told thinga like "they're fine, they fit fine I don't understand what the problem is, try this adjustment out for a little while", and my favorite, "why are you working outside, of course they'll feel too big in the heat". Meanwhile, I was wearing a broken pair of old glasses because the new ones DIDN'T FIT. I go back and complain, saying I want to exchange. They did do the exchange but did not refund me the difference between the new pair that were too big and newer pair that fit.

It was not taking my payment which they said they would call me for to get the payment issue resolved. A good two plus weeks during the holidays go by and no call back so I called to check on the order. That's when they take the missing payment, telling me the order was not fulfilled due to this and me thinking that perhaps the payment had finally gotten processed, was done. Nope. A delay. Another few weeks go and I call... I get told that insurance denied it due to another customer who has the same name and birthday as me, so they are going to contact them and try it again. More weeks go by and I call yet again. Get told the same thing so I ask of the other person has a middle initial, they do not whereas I do. They try again and it seems that the error has been corrected. Again, I am waiting. I called back several days later and get told that the glasses should be here last week. Nope. It isn't until today, 02-17 that they are finally here. Why did I need to be calling so constantly for updates? Why was this issue with the other person not easily resolved since it's obvious we are not the same person? They have a variance which is easy to see with the middle initial which is displayed in my name. The glasses fit well but this last situation has put a dent in my confidence with the service. I was told the issue was now a delay with VSP, which is my vision caretaker so now I don't know where the error truly lay.
