Scammers! no business ethics, I bought an expensive glass and when i went to Lens and crafters discovered that it's much cheaper went back for price match and will not agree. frames and services are all overprice not flexible to customers. read more

So about 8 years ago or so I started wearing glasses and came to Pearle because it was close and convenient. Since I don't have any major issues I continue to come back on occasion for eye exams or replacement glasses as needed. The upfront customer service is a bit hit or miss but generally do a nice job. As for the doctors I defiantly have enjoyed Dr. Rose over the years. Out of the two he is my preferred as I found him to be very professional and a pleasure to work with. Even if you don't have specific vision insurance my blue cross blue shield has given me discounts or covers the exam. The selection of frames they have available is nice although not gigantic. Overall I have no complaints and Dr Rose himself gets a 5-star review. read more

Solid service and expertise from Hana on recent visit. Skip B

The people at Pearl Vision were amazing. I don't typically use a vision service but my husband does and he recommended them. I had a pair of non-prescription sunglasses in which the rim had come apart from the frame. I called first and made an appointment. I was seen immediately. I explained the issue and also stated that I had not purchased the glasses there. They had been purchased at franchise that was not open (COVID19). The representative had an individual look at the glasses, he showed me the problem and stated he would do the best he could with the tools he had. He was back within 5 minutes with my glasses that were now repaired. When I asked for the cost, he said there wasn't one. How amazing is that!! Glasses not purchased at their store and excellent service for free. I would highly recommend the store in Vernon Hills to anyone. read more

I was long overdue for an eye exam And a new pair of glasses. I went to this location and I Can only say wow! From the moment I walked in the front door I was greeted by a warm and attentive staff who then set up an appointment for me with Dr. Campbell . Dr. Campbell was more than I could have ever hoped for!! She gave me such a thorough exam and explained all of my issues to me in language that I could truly understand. She then proceeded to prescribe for my needs as well as my new Eyeglasses. She Even set up a follow up exam for me to make sure everything is working as it should.I have not seen this clearly in a very long time! I would definitely recommend this office to all of my friends and family!! Kudos to the entire staff!! Thank you! read more

The absolute worst optical experience in the area Two Dr's (one retiring and his son) Nothing against the Dr's... It's the sales and support staff RUDE to a fault. They make you feel awkward for taking up their valuable time. Even this week I called for an exam three times and was told someone would call me back. Of course that didn't happen Good riddance. Staff is awful and can't possibly make up for the Dr's My glasses haven't been right for 6 months and I was told to get "used to them" When that wasn't possible due to script being wrong they made it impossible to see dr. And of course By the time I could see the dr it was out of the time frame to change the lenses Buyer beware!!!! read more

I was treated very rudely at the Vernon Hills location. Maybe that particular person was having a bad day but honestly that's not an excuse. We are a family of five so this location could have potentially gained five new customers!! read more

This review is.long overdue. I called at 530pm the night before my eye med benefits expired hoping to get in and then amazing staff at Pearl Vision didn't that. It was my first time there and they treated me like I was a long time customer. Everyone from the front desk staff, general manager, to the optometrist were the friendliest and most accommodating of any eye doctor I've been to. I dont understand the negative reviews. Both my wife and I have now gone there with the same experience. read more

Fast, easy, and super straightforward visit for a regular eye exam and purchasing a new pair of glasses. Urooj was friendly and helpful in selecting a new frame and explaining the process for contact lenses. read more

I have never had a more awful experience. I asked for my prescription probably 3 times to the doctors and 2 to his sales crew. I have not received it yet and will be filing a complaint to the FTC for violating my rights. The sales crew is a bunch on incompetent swindlers. The dilation was particularly awful but that a very subjective rating due to personal pain tolerance. In summary do yourself a favor, do not come here so you can avoid mega rip offs provided by the service staff. read more

My visit was excellent! i love the new equipment and the staff was so friendly. the manager sadie was so helpful in picking out my glasses and she found the right discounts to fit my budget. glad i came back to try this place again. read more

Our first time visit for my son's eye exam was a great experience. Upon scheduling, all of them I spoke with were very pleasant and respectful. They listened well and responded to all of my questions very precisely. On the day of our visit, there were few customers and I like how it's not stressful visiting a doctor's office. The Tech is kind to my son. Dr. Max Rose is a great eye doctor, he explains everything that he is doing. My son never feel scared because he does everything while telling him what to expect and why he does it. My son enjoyed it. I also like the selection of glasses that they have. Will definitely come back for our future eye needs. Kudos to y'all Pearle Vision team in Hawthorn. So far, your the only shop we've been to here in Illinois that gives great service. read more

If there was an option to choose zero stars, I would have done it for this location. I've found this "business" to be extremely unprofessional, unwelcoming, and over-priced. After the horrible experience I had at this store last Saturday (complete with rude employees and a $40 overcharge on my eye exam), I called the manager to voice my concerns. The manager was extremely condescending when I called and told me he "had a hard time believing" what I was telling him. I used to think Pearle Vision had a stand-up reputation for being a leader in their field, but now I realize it's better to frequent an independent establishment because they actually appreciate their patrons and listen to their concerns. See you later Pearle Vision, I'll be shopping for my glasses online. read more

My whole family used to go to this optometrist office for all our eye needs. The last few times we have been there, the staff have been loud and rude. They are shouting across the store at each other in a language I did not understand. They answer their personal phone calls (again very loudly) while customers (like me) were trying to talk to our insurance company. The older tall man that works there is the rudest of the bunch. He is very condescending, especially to me and my aging mother. We went to the eye doctor located in the shopping mall down the road. Much better experience there! read more

Dr. Rose is a fantastic optometrist and I just can't say enough good things. Makes you feel really well taken care of, answering questions thoroughly and patiently. I have a great experience here every exam. I wish all my doctors had the same respect and empathy for their patients as Dr. Rose, he's really one of a kind! read more

RACIST1 RACIST ! RACIST! they charged me 594.79 for a pair of glass and eye exam. They billed me seperately for the eye exam and fitting. Fitting is to be included in eye exam. When we first walked in the red hair lady was very standoffish. They did not want to service my daughter, I should have left. However, we stayed hoping things would be okay. My daughter and I came with vested interest to purchasee glasses. The staff looking to provoke, and sterotype me as the typical black woman. They accused me of being "aggressive" even said I "threatned them. They took every opportunity to envoke a confrontation when I was questioning the charges. They eventually just told me to take y money else where. They rather I just leave then, for them to treat us like human beings. I went to the store to get my money back... they claim they processed a refund, however cancelled the refund. The BLATANT disrespect and kept my money. They are disgusting. read more

If there was a choice for ZERO stars in customer service...this would be the choice. Eye exam-check, contacts ordered and paid for-check. Appointment for contact fitting....9 days from now we should be able to spend an hour with you. My Son could not make the appointment that they scheduled for him at THEIR convenient time. 9 DAYS AFTER HIS EXAM! Who does this? He is available Monday thru Friday but you ONLY have someone that can help with contacts on Saturdays? Most of the YELP comments on here go on and on about how rude this office is...BELIEVE IT!!!!! Next call...Blue Cross! These contacts have been paid for, they will not give them to me to have another office oversee his placement of these in his eyes! read more

They have helped me out twice now. The first time they found a center piece for my silhouette frames. It was an expensive fix, but far cheaper than new frames. Today my daughters glasses (not purchased there) lost a screw and the lens fell out. They found the pieces and fixed them without charge. I am a customer for life now!!! read more

Beyond impressed. I have been going to optometrists for 20+ years and have never received such a thorough eye exam. Dr. Rose was kinda, easy to talk to, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. I felt like Dr. Rose and his entire team really cared about me. I received simply exceptional care and can't imagine going to another optometrist. Excellant. read more

Been using the Dr's there for the past 10 years and purchased at least a dozen pair of glasses. On my most recent pair the nose pad broke. Management told me it would be $85 to repair them. I contacted the manufacturer and was told to send them in for repair at no charge. So Pearl Vision management, what was the $85 for? A good laugh at a stupid customer? read more

I've been going to Dr Rose for several years. I think he is a wonderful optometrist. He is thorough and patient. He wants his patients to have the best vision they can. I highly recommend him for contact lenses and glasses. read more

I just went and really had a pretty good experience. The doc was not pressuring me on anything I did not want to do (dilation, etc.). The frame selection is average for a guy like me with close-set eyes, but I can't fault the staff for that. I like a rectangular frame which is tough to do a progressive in sometimes. The two sales cats were Ukranian (maybe that was the issue for some?). They were personable and warm. The shop is a bit dated, but I though the staff was great. read more

Have been going to Dr. Blank and Dr. Rose for years. Both are professional and explain exactly what is going on and give you options. Jim the manager is helpful at explaining insurance coverage and helping you make your selections and what extended programs they offer...even if you do not have insurance they help you with your options and what is in your price range. read more

I have seen Dr. Rose for many years and always feel as if I get a very detailed and accurate exam. However the staff needs a ton of improvement. They are impacting customer wanting to come back to the store. While Dr. Rose is back doing his job the staff is unprofessional and rude. The tall man with the access is very rude and unprofessional. I was there recently and they let me stand there wait at least 10 minutes and didn't even say " we will be with you moment" when I finally made a comment he looked at me like he could have killed me. I politely told him to wipe that look off his face and that he is the reason I do not like going there and will not return. I will miss my Dr. however when I am spending my money I don't need that sort of rude treatment. read more

I've been to Pearl Vision in Vernon hills for a couple years for annual routine eye check ups, and saw Dr Rose. Dr Rose provided a comprehensive and thorough test, coupled with friendliness and excellent service. He was energetic, seems to care and was very kind. There was also very little wait if at all. They submitted the claim to my insurance with no issues. This year I tried a different optometrist on Philips Road in Vernon Hills because I had heard that optometrist not affliliated with stores may be 'better' or more thorough. So, I went there just to compare different optometrists. The wait was almost 1 hr, the Dr was friendly but I thought Dr Rose at Pearl Vision was more detailed and took more time in checking my eyes. The fees at the private office was about 4x more than Pearl Vision without any additional value! I also had issues with insurance through them not submitting the claim as routine and got a bill for almost 200 dollars. Next year I'm going back to Pearl Vision and Dr. Rose, for better service and much much better price. read more
