I got a new pair of glasses, I bring them in to get them adjusted keep in mind i have had these for less than 24 hours. The old lady tech went in the back to adjust and damages one of the lens. I noticed a spec on them when I put them on and left i thought it was dust come to find out it was a chip right in my line of vision on the inside glass. I go back that same day she claims it was there already i know for a fact that it wasn't. I set another appointment with the doctor to get the script lowered and she fixed the lens and gave a little extra 5 stars to her. Now the tech will not help adjust my glasses now all she will do is tighten the screws and say they are good now when they still lean to the left. When I ask to speak to someone over her she always tells me there is nobody els. Completely unprofessional ill be going somewhere els from now on read more

Gave the wrong prescription for my contacts even though I was clear in the appointment that I couldn't see clearly. I came back to retest and waited over an hour for her to write my old prescription. She also doesn't talk in the appointment so you don't know what's going on, and then she says ok you're done when you think you're still in the middle of the appointment. read more

Had to wait over an hour until Dr finally saw me. This after I arrived early for my appointment. No one else was in the waiting room so I don't understand why. They have a poor selection of frames. Then they " forgot " to do my contact lens exam after the receptionist explicitly asked me if I wanted a contact lens exam and I said yes. I should have walked out. We are vacationing in Panama City Beach, and last night my husband broke the frames of his glasses. We walked into Pearle Vision and explained the situation. The professional employees were so helpful! They explained that it was unlikely that they would have a frame that fit my husband's glasses, but one of the associates tried and actually was able to find something that fit! She had said that it was like a 1 /100 chance, so we lucked out. The point is, these people were most helpful. I had a great experience at Pearle Vision. I forgot to pack my contacts in my luggage for a quick family trip to Miramar Beach. I was able to stop in as soon as we arrived and I explained the situation to the young ladies upfront. They were extremely helpful in helping me get my prescription sent from my hometown over to them and then provide me with a pair of contacts. They even let me use their room to put them in and provided solution and a contact case. I don't usually leave reviews but I am very grateful for all their help. I hate wearing glasses on the beach so this greatly improved my vacation experience. read more

I do not recommend Pearle Vision or at least this one. I have had contacts/glasses for ten years, I moved here and had to get a new eye dr. I came here, my exam went smooth and the doctor was very kind. She changed my prescription and I bought new contacts. These contacts started to make my eyes blurry and my old prescription glasses did not. I called the lady at the front desk, she talked to the dr and the doctor told her to get me a pair of one of my old prescription and to wear a new one in one eye and an old one in the other to make sure that was the problem and it was. The receptionist told me that they would give me some more trials of my old prescription since I already opened a new box of the new one. She said to come back every couple months to swap the new prescription for the old to make sure my eyes didn't switch. When I went in to do that, the manager, different lady was there and told me I wasn't allowed to do that and that the dr prescribed my eyes to different prescriptions. That the dr is more knowledgeable about my eyes than me. I tried to explain the previous conversation with the other receptionist and she wasn't having it. I asked to talk to the dr and she quickly responded that she was in an appointment although I would have been happy to wait even though there was only 15 minutes left until close. I feel like I was not taken care of in this facility and treated poorly. It sucks that I used my eye insurance where they only cover once a year. My dad also tried to call and explain in a different approach since she wasn't understanding me and she told my dad that I'm a big girl and should take up for myself lol which is accurate but not the best thing to say to a customer especially since I had made this issue known for four months and nothing was getting resolved. Dr was nice, and I'm sure she would have helped me, but the manager was not having it. don't waste your $ like I did read more

I live locally and have used Pearls in Destin for several years. I see Dr. Fowler and his team for my annual eye exam as well as use the store for my glasses and prescription sunglasses. The entire staff is nice, knowledgeable, and professional. You are greeted immediately and assisted promptly. There are many choices for frames and sunglasses. What I like most, though , is that they will do minor repairs and adjustments to your frames as often as needed. I have never been charged for these and they were done on the spot. read more

The only complaint I have is the fact that this particular pearl vision because it is privately owned doesn't provide the 30 day exchange if you're unsatisfied with your frames like the corporately owned pearl vision does. I had gone in to get my glasses readjusted because they were not fitting correctly. The associate helping me realized because of how heavy my lenses were that the particular frames would not work. She told me to pick out new frames and I was very happy. They said at first I could not exchange, but once they realized that my frames were not going to fit correctly on my face they made the right choice to allow me to get new frames. I'm very pleased with there efforts to correct my situation. read more

The doctor was great, informative, thorough and easy to talk to. His assistant was also great to work with. The staff at the counter upfront... Not so much. Prices were way higher than expected but selection was good. Took a week to get the glasses... No same day glasses here. read more

I was in Destin on vacation and lost my glasses and it happen Pearl Vision was one of the closest to where we were staying. I got lucky because Doctor Fowler was super nice as was his staff. They got me in quickly for exam and I had my glasses same day. Pricing was very good. Much better experience then I had back home. read more

I lost my contacts at the beach and stopped by here after reading reviews that other out of town people had been helped by them...I guess I didn't look desperate enough because the girl, in a word, REFUSED to help me. Super rude. I just gave up after 4-5 mins of talking to her because I could see she wasn't going to help the situation. The first 3 mins of the conversation she decided to explain "how doctors work" like I was a total idiot. I asked if she could point me in another direction since they couldn't help me and she said no. I then called the Walmart and although they couldn't fit me in either, the person that was talking to me took an extra 2 mins on the phone and HELPED me figure out possible solutions. I had to drive an hour away to Ft Walton but at least the dude tried to help. I've never been in a Pearle Vision before and I'm sure they are a good store but the front desk girl at this location is rude as hell! :) read more

My husband dropped and broke his eyeglass frames the day we were returning home from vacation. We were frantic and though we stopped by several places, no one could help us in the urgent timeframe we had. Fortunately, the employees at Pearl Vision in Destin were patient, helpful, and competent. Several staff members worked together as a team to assess the problem and applied their expertise to do a marvelous temporary fix. My husband was able to return home wearing his glasses, and we were able to get them properly fixed when we got home. Thanks to their careful repair, we did not lose the warranty on the frames. They did not charge us for this wonderful and conscientious service. I highly recommend this business. read more

My appointment with the Doctor was great. She was very kind and informative and really helped me find the right contacts for me by giving me a lot of samples and two trial pairs. I also bought glasses from them. What is so disappointing is how RUDE the woman who answers the phone is... Who I am assuming worked the front desk on 09/28 at 11:30 am. They gave me two trial pairs. I called today to choose the pair I liked the most so I could order my contacts. The woman quickly told me the name of only one of the brands I was given as a trial and before I could ask what the other was, she put me on hold. Roughly 2 minutes later, she got back on the phone and informed me she had the doctor write the prescription and it would be emailed to me. I inquired about the other brand contacts, you know, the ones I actually wanted to order and that's where the attitude started. She gave me a hard time and said that "she couldn't just have the doctor keep changing the prescriptions for me." Actually, YES YOU CAN. She never gave me a choice between the two. Maybe if you'd have listened to me and not cut me off and put me on hold you wouldn't have had to have her change it. She pitched a fit and told me she would have the doctor change it again (big sigh) and that she would email me the new prescription. Before I could even ask her if she had the correct email on file, she hung up on me. It's extremely frustrating for me to come in there and spend money, treat her staff with kindness, yet in turn when I am asking for a simple prescription, I am treating with a nasty attitude.
